A PSP Treasure Trove

Archive: 13 posts

I've just recently dusted off my ol' PSP. The reason for this being the recent extreme surge of releases and anouncements for wonderful titles for the platform. Gran Turismo. Jak and Daxter. LBP PSP. Motor Storm Arctic Edge. Rock Band Unplugged. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Resistance Retribution. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. And MORE. Sony finally has finally brought the PSP to full attention, and I applaud them. What other wonderful games are out there for this under-rated device? Who knows? Sony had kept it in the dark for far too long, I just hope this can pull it out.
Rant over.

I'm still looking out for a copy of Metal Gear Solid : Portable Ops... I can't find it anywhere here at a reasonable price, all I find is Portable Ops Plus.

The stores here have pretty much given up on carrying PSP titles. It's not so much a problem of there not being any good games on the system... I just can't *FIND* the games that I want most of the time.

yah i'm loving using my psp, but MGOP i really didn't like, i felt like the only person to actually say that i didn't like it. My favorite game right now, is Hot Shots Open Tee 2 again, it's so much fun! Game's real fun i love it! Can't wait for the new slew of games coming soon...2009-06-12 22:16:00

I have been thinking about buying a PSP as there is also a lot of content on the PS store, but i dont know if i should wait and get the new PSP-go the dissapointing thing for me is that the new PSP-go has no UMD drive and rely i digitally released content only and wont be able to play any of the old games.2009-06-12 22:22:00

Actually, I've heard they were going to rerelease the majority backlog of UMD games for the PSP Go on launch. I'm hoping MGS makes its way to the Store so I can finally get it.

I'm going to need a bigger memory stick though.

Shall I suggest you take an eye on my library?

-Gripshift (very original "platformer-ish racer" + editor)
-Exit (awesome action puzzler)
-Megaman Powered Up (awesome Megaman 1 remake)
-Ultimate Ghouls and Ghost (hard platformer of awesome)
-Locoroco (yup!)
-Locoroco 2 (you know about that game right?)
-Killzone Liberation (old school shooter of awesomeness)
-Parappa The Rapper (the guy that got music games popular!)
-Jeanne D'Arc (Best strategy RPG on the console imo)
-Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles (this needs introduction!?)
-Patapon (just buy. seriously.)

I`m glad Sony are finally taking an interest in the PSP again. They`ve sold 50 million of them so I think it deserves better than to be the forgotten machine of this generation.

Certainly LBP is the big one for me, but there are a few other games that I`m looking forward to as well.

Yeah, I just bought that one two days ago, and it has taken up most of my time. As for Locoroco 2, it's very good and the difficulty curve is much kinder than the nazi first game. Is Exit actually good? It always looked like one of those cheap games that are never any good...(no offense)2009-06-13 13:13:00

I hae very few games because I just got one, here they are graded:

Echochrome B
Naruto: Ulimate Ninja Heroes or something like that F (believe it!)
N+ B- (fun but difficult)
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters B+ (rather fun)
Patapon A- (great)
Patapon 2 A+ (epic)
Sega Genesis Collection B (good)
Twisted Metal Head-On A (awesome)

Hopefully I'll be able to collect some money and buy more.

I only have two... Ratchet and Clank and CC: FF7.

I have 20 dollars, and am owed some more, and I was thinking of some PSP games.

I was considering trying Puzzle Quest, but I'm not too sure at all about that.

If any one has some good games with good deals, might they try to convince me?

I'd recommend Secret Agent Clank if you're looking for a deal. It's aged a little by now, so you could find a good price on it if you look.2009-06-13 20:00:00

Conversly I'd recomend avoiding Secret Agent Clank there's far too many lenghthy ddr style button matching sections and the rest of the game felt rather lackluster.2009-06-13 21:46:00
