Overheating issues.

| I'm currently completely recreating my Death Rail level but have run into some serious overheating issues concerning emitting the motorised track that rides underneath the train. I've tried a few approaches: one emitter emitting multple track sections and unsuccessfully attempted a self emitting track where each section is spawned from the section in front but to no avail. | I've tried the self emitting thing myself, and found that its about the same thermo wise. The only thing i could suggest is making sure all your settings are trimmed down right (ie: it only emits as many as you need, there can only be 1 at once, etc.) Emitters are fairly space saving if you tone down the details like that. | 2009-06-12 10:38:00 Author: Burnvictim42  Posts: 3322 |
| The problem is my train is quite long. I've tried emitting 10 large sections of track aswell as 30 or so smaller sections and the temp is about the same. Also every time I do get it right and save it, when I play it the level starts overheated for some strange reason. | Take a look at my Crazy Train! level. I'm doing a triple background in infinite scrolling there. But I had to keep my train simple, my level was busting the thermo like no other. It's all about tweaking. What does you overheating message says anyway? They always tell you the best thing to reduce first so you're not overheating anymore.
