HIi MizzAnaconda, Welcome to the LBP universe and the greatest forum in it. You couldn't have come to a better place.

As for creating you can do something great just by collecting all the goodies in story mode for a start as you get loads of materials that way.

If you want to be selective just look on gamefaqs.com for a walkthrough and find all the important stuff like materials , music and sounds.

As far as DLC goes the first thing you should do is download Creator Pack 1 which is free and play it ( under LittleBigStore - my content incase you can't find it ) as this contains really useful tools.

Although not strictly necessary I would also recommend buying the MGS pack which is the only way to get the paintinator and is the best and most useful DLC so far and also has new levels to play and lots of music and sound objects.

Also the Monsters pack is excellent

If you do all this for a start you'll have lots of great stuff to create with.

I look forward to seeing your first level and if you need any help in story mode just add me and i'll try and help sometime if the connection allows

Most of all have fun.

Yeah I'd second that. The metal gear solid level kit and the monster level pack are good choices if you're willing to spend a few $. If not that's ok, you can make amazing things with only the materials provided in the game. You'll just have to play through the story to get them all. Some require 2, 3 or 4 players to get though. I'm sure there's plenty around here to help with that. Feel free to add me and I'll help out if I can.2009-06-12 10:50:00

Mistervista just gave you the best advice anyone could have. The MGS pack is something I'd consider almost essential for any serious creator... or one who intends to get serious about it.

Feel free to add me as well. PSN is Rustbukkit. Do you have a mic for online play? ... it makes it a lot easier to communicate in those hard to reach or achieve spots in levels, as well as just adds some fun for chatting while playing.

You should definately get the MGS pack. The Paintinator and the materials inside will help you a lot in creating. And although I haven't used it much myself yet, the Monster pack has a lot of good stickers, decoration and materials.2009-06-14 15:50:00
