The Team ICO Pack will be on the PSN Store today! The pack features five costumes from Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, plus a set of stickers and some new sound effects too! The pack costs $5.99 / ?5.99 / ?4.79 ? with each costume also available individually, although buying them in this way will mean you?ll miss out on the sound effects and stickers!

Yes, all about the sound effects for me..... just doesn't seem worth the money just for a little bit more sound

How many times must we tell MM not to keep foisting crappy stickers on us. I was only interested in the sounds but looking at the list even they look like a weird selection. I mean what on earth does Colossus Blood 'sound' like !!

I won't be getting this that's for sure. I'll wait until we get what we deserve , something much better. When are we going to get some decent realistic sounds ? I honestly don't think they care any more because I emailed MM asking for better sounds as long ago as last year and lots of times since but we're still waiting.

It's about time they started looking after the creators rather than just continuing to market everything towards the 'kiddie costume fraternity'


Just realised that's a video to listen to the sound effects. Wow I am really glad I waited now. Even they are crap. At least 3 of those are recycled sounds that we already have. We already have horse in the animal sounds and I'm pretty sure we have big impact and wind aswell.

I've got to admit... (and I buy more dlc for lbp than I should, I've bought almost everything... but I've got to draw the line! ) week after week, we are getting garden variety non-distinct crap... this week, I thought ok, maybe with the inclusion of sounds... Yeah this will be the week I will be really happy with my purchase! We skipped over last week to set the ship right... afterall, Ico was actually teased... there was speculation... maybe levels, maybe those cool eyes... oh music...surprise! Useless stickers to go with useless sounds... Hmmm, recycled giant footsteps (check), recycled wind (check) The sounds in this pack are uneventful to a creator like myself because; I either have them already, could make them myself by combining 2 or more, or have no interest in it (for example bleeding noises to introduce blood into LBP). Other sounds are so strictly defined that they cant be open for interpretation (eagle, dont we have horse?)... I actually like the singing sword clip because (to me) it sounds like bats in a cave taking wing (but that's just my interpetation) ... seriously disappointing... the costumes are cool but we're really only talking hair here... of course my soothesayer "EndisNeigh!" has been requesting sandwhich boards so I guess it has that going for it.2009-06-11 19:17:00

Come on Mm!! Recycled sounds are showing up more and more. Sure they are slightly different, so at least drop the price to 1/3 of what you're asking if that's the best you have to offer us! Sheesh guys!!

There's a few sounds in there I'd like to have... but at what they're asking, you can forget it. This content is lame subject matter to begin with, and far too small a niche for the average gamer or builder to pay even close to the asking price. Keep this second rate DLC coming and watch your cool levels fill up with even more crappy H4H Rocket Race Skateboard levels... because all the serious (and good) creators will begin to put their controllers down and walk away.

Something tells me Mm knew this was a risky move and would likely fail and get fans p.o.'d. Why else would they "all of a sudden" release a video showcasing their (poor attempts at) new sound effects? Methinks it's because they knew the pack is really not worthy of the money or up to par with what they are cabable of offering us. They should have just gone the extra step and made the sound effects available to buy on their own. Oh... and the stickers.... really suck this time. Worst stickers yet... heck... worst DLC yet.

Pay attention Mm.... we are your bread and butter!

As for me... I'm off to download the new KILLZONE DLC... at least I know some effort was put into that!		2009-06-11 21:37:00

Not quite actually. Same maps... totally new and updated look!! I guess you haven't seen any screen grabs yet? I loved Beach Head in Killzone... and it's gonna' totally rock with the updated graphics! :hero:		2009-06-11 22:02:00

The Killzone 2 maps DEFINITELY were not ported. Ported, and "remade" are two entirely different words

This is pretty much what I expected... Another costume/sticker pack. Really disappointed in all of this. At the same time, I'm thrilled to see Team ICO getting some LBP love. Wish it was more substantial, but I'm just giddy to see Ico and Shadow represented officially in this game.

I hate microtransactions. Online games used to keep their stuff updated for free. Valve still does this. Look at the WEALTH of TF2 updates we've had... I mean, so, so, so many new maps, modes, weapons... all for free!! In the current console micro-transaction dlc market, the TF2 content that's currently available on the PC would probably run the cost of an entire videogame, $60+, easily.

Infuriating.

I'm a bit confused though... in the Playstation store today, only the costumes were listed... I didn't see stickers mentioned anywhere. do they come WITH the costume pack, or am I missing something here?		2009-06-12 09:15:00

I was also dissapointed with the pack but that's still over the fact that all we
got were costumes when I was expecting materials and levels.

But as a costume pack, this isn't that bad. I like the costumes for one...
The sounds are not spectacular in any way but they are an added bonus to the costumes.
I can find quite a few uses for them actually.

The stickers are useless as always, but I guess those are intended for the kids who like to slap them on everything.
It would be weird if Mm would release a pack based on a franchise without those kind of stickers. It's for the die-hard fans.

I think that this particular DLC is one of the largest examples of unnecessary
cross game promotion in LBP, and being a huge fan of both of Ueda?s games
I actually think this is quite insulting.

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are very deep, beautiful games that myself
and loads of other gamers cherish deeply and to simply take the basic ideas
and place them on a Sackboy in an attempt to get some cheap sales is close
to arrogance. Also the stickers, and the sounds had loads of potential working
from the source material, but instead all we get is a poor selection of similar,
basic and somewhat insulting nature to add to the already poor costumes.

If MM are going to use classic games as their source material then they need
to make sure the dlc they produce is a fitting homage to them!		2009-06-12 10:26:00

I'm as big a fan of Ueda and Team Ico as you're likely to find anywhere, but I don't think we should demand too much of MM when it comes to promotional content like this. Don't get me wrong, I would love a level pack for Team ICO similar to the MGS pack. But we shouldn't have a sense of entitlement toward this game's DLC simply because we worship the franchise being represented.

By far most of the game's DLC up until this point has been costumes, with the occasional sticker pack, and the rare decoration/material "level" packs. I don't think there's any reason to have expected anything bigger this time around. I don't think this is insulting at all to Ueda's team or games. It's a cute, Little-Big-sized representation of characters from Team Ico games - just as you'd expect to see in LBP.

That being said, I don't want to give off the impression that it isn't disappointing. I'm happy to see any Team ICO content on LBP at this point, but I think the real alternative here isn't getting a massive level pack - it's getting nothing at all.		2009-06-12 21:32:00
