Heylo

Heylo everyone...

Might as well provide a few bits and bobs about myself...

I'm from Scotland am 20 years old living with my girlfriend...so Life is...kinda good =D
Recently became a parent to the most amazing little boy in the world, Phoenix is the name! (I know every parent says that, but It's my opinion )
I'm an art student and a bit of a perfectionist (which doesn't help with this game sometimes :@@@ )
Ummm...I suppose the most depressing fact I could write is I work in McDonald's...SLAVE LABOUR! (am contemplating building a level just to reveal how horrible McDonald's really is :Worriedest: )

As fas as LBP goes, I bought the game on its second week of release, and lost interest rather quickly, but a month ago, I put it back on and am totally hooked! It's like...amazing! haha

Anyway, if you want to know more or want to game sometime feel free to add me on PSN...

PSN = bigdode

On a side note, I represent a Guild of gamers (technically) who strive to play with Honor and Respect. We used to be a Star Wars Jedi Academy based clan but after an almost crippling absence of members, we have branched out onto consoles and now support separate divisions. I lead the Little Big Planet Division with one other and would be honoured if those who are interested follow the link below, to the homepage, register and have a look around, and if you decide you'd like to become part of the Guild, simply apply in the ''membership applications'' forum using the template provided. Many thanks.

Welcome. We love people from Scotland here (we are considering starting a Bagpipe band with Matt_82 as our leader).

Also, we love kilts here...however the men MUST shave their legs to wear them (again... Matt_82).

Enjoy!

By the way, does working at McDonalds mean you get free big macs to feed to your baby? I hear it's like health food.

And so on...

I am indeed, here to stay...

Welcome to the forums - Were taking over the world don't you know

Your guild sounds interesting
It's a shame you have to make something like that, as all gamers should play with respect and honour.
BUT as we all know, that is FAR away from the truth

So what is bigdode then. How does that represent you ???

Welcome to the best community on the interwebs

Hello bigdode, and welcome. You'll find that LBPC is a very unique and special place.

I noticed at the bottom of your post there was also a Koh_Dode. Is that the other individual that helps you with the LBP Division you spoke of? And forgive me for my ignorance, or lack of memory, as it's been many years since I watched the Star Wars movies, but is the term "dode" associated with the Jedi in some manner?

For GOD'S SAKE. MAKE THIS LEVEL.

I think I'd pay for a really good, biting, funny McDonald's satire level on LBP. I'm not saying I WILL pay. I'm just saying I would.

...

MAKE THE LEVEL!!!

It's a shame you have to make something like that, as all gamers should play with respect and honour.
BUT as we all know, that is FAR away from the truth

Indeed, it should be a simply virtue that is bestowed from the moment the online gaming universe was spawned!...Pity...

So what is bigdode then. How does that represent you ???

Well...im from a town in Scotland called Dundee, and Dode, is Dundonian for George...my name y'see... and its just a name I obtained in High School from my Physics Teacher!

Take this peanut.

Yay...Peanuts!!!!...<3's the peanuts!

No KoH_Dode is simply my username on the website i provided...merely so you can find me on the site if you decide to apply and such...

And forgive me for my ignorance, or lack of memory, as it's been many years since I watched the Star Wars movies, but is the term "dode" associated with the Jedi in some manner?

I wish...that'd be awesome! No...its merely my nickname/city's variation of my name...

For GOD'S SAKE. MAKE THIS LEVEL

To be perfectly honest...I havnt produced ANY level!...I get confused with the switches and what one does what, along with the tools available...And then the PS3's analogue sticks lead me to frustration when I'm lathering on materials and something goes somewhere it shouldnt!!!!....get annoyed and quit! lol...until I master the sensitivity...I wont be producing anything,

Though i do have a rather funky level down on paper!...

Well since you're an art student, I'm sure you'll pick things up and start to get creative. You might find it handier to hit "start" and choose one of the "Grid" settings. That means everything you draw with a material will be in square units, although its only really good for industrial looking levels, it can be a huge help in measuring and plotting things out and keeping things symmetrical.

Anywho, if you have any questions at all, make a thread in the HELP sections, anything at all! Everyone here is generous and loves to share... thats what this community is all about......... besides showing off our little sackpeople :/

Welcome!

I think everyone gets frustrated with the editing tools when starting out, but once you get the hang of it, well.. you will still wind up with an issue now and again.

Main thing is play around and if you get stuck and need any help, just search the help or if nothing found, make a thread so we can all poke fun at ... errr.. I mean help you out!! Yeaaahh... that's really what I meant!
