My First Level: Forgotten Factory

You have arrived at the entrance of a mysterious factory somewhere in the North.

You have been sent to investigate this facility that has suddenly began spewing thick black smoke across the snowy mountains. Authorities suspect a connection to the disappearances of many sackpersons from local villages in the past weeks. Some believe it is an old war factory that has been unused for decades.

Just played your level, heres my feeback as I'm playing through it.

+ Liked the point bubbles arranged in the lift to get your multiplier up
+ Your materials all fit your theme well.
+ Nice stacks of wood at the top of the lft
+ Very tricky platforming
+ Liked the vehicles driving past above the maze, they distracted me for a split second and I lost concentration and died, nice idea if thats what you were going for.
+ That wheel section with the jumps after it is very quite taxing. I managed to get through it with one life left.
+ Your platforming is well put together and quite challenging and enjoyed it.
+ Liked the people falling down the chute and getting squashed at the bottom
+ Liked the conyeror platforming at the end.

- I'd shave a bit off your door going into the facility so you don't have to jump over it. You could also hide the hole the door goes into with a thin piece of material on the very first thin plane
- Theres a big hole in the background near the lift
- You dont have to go through the maze on the jetpack, you can fly right over it And theres an emitter visible there to
- You got a few music boxes and switches visible, they always look better hidden.
- I add another checkpoint in after wheel somewhere, before you have to make them small jobs onto the tiny platforms. Or add a doublelife before the wheel??
- On your block puzzle to open the door, set the switches to one shot, that will stop them being emitted over and over. Also, cloth can be grabbed and pulled, and looks better than dissolve. I'd also suggest using stickers or coloured lights to match the blocks up, it looks loads better than the actual switches.
- Add sound effects to your switches so you know what they go

I got right to where the vans or buses?? Fall off the end broken bridge, whilst the door was opening to let me out the other van fell right on top of me and trapped me in, I had no way of getting out and so had to exit to pod without finishing the level!!!!

It was good for a first attempt, there looks like there is a lot negative points, but they are small little suggestions to make your next level look and play a little better. You can create some excellent platforming sequences now, so I can't wait to see the second one!!

Thanks for your input, Grantos. I've patched up some of those problems, including the jetpack part. I've got to figure out how to fix the problem with the vehicles at the end; that's my biggest concern, but it hasn't happened to me in my playtesting.

EDIT: It should be fixed now.
