Hello.... I never had an introduction thread, and I figured since ConfusedCartman's welcome thread was...er...reactivated I would officially introduce myself. Let's see.... I'm a computer programmer, I have 3 cats, a wife, a 7-year-old, 5 spotlighted levels, and an IGN pick. Hi! I hope I'm accepted here. | 2009-06-09 20:35:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

I'm a computer programmer, I have 3 cats, a wife, a 7-year-old, 5 spotlighted levels, and an IGN pick. you forgot the second highest rep rating on the site (2nd only to CC) and pretty big red letters for your name. All of that well deserved too. | 2009-06-09 22:59:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

"That's some really weird stuff Ed!" Welcome to the welcomer! Hmmm, Computer Programmer eh? We've have something in common as well, but not like Zwollie. I'm a Design/Test Engineer, Software Design, and write Embedded Code for Automotive Electronics, but my initial major was Architecture (which I loved, and which my dad said were a-dime-a-dozen, and apparently I listened). And why again were we drawn to LBP? Possibly it's Scientific appeal? Glad you're here! Rick | 2009-06-10 03:37:00 Author: RickRock_777 Posts: 1567 |
Scientific appeal? Naw.... reliving the old days without assembly coding? Absolutely! I feel so welcome here.... I think I'll stay for awhile. And Matt_82 - go blow a bagpipe and watch Mary Poppins, why don't ya? By the way, that color kilt doesn't look good on you. | 2009-06-10 14:09:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Hi there CCubbage! lol. Welcome to THE forum, and I hope you have fun. WAIT... There's a guy called CuzFeeshe who's copied all your levels and taking all the credit. The levels were great too. Except that Hyper Vertigo. That was naff! | 2009-06-10 15:16:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |

Except that Hyper Vertigo. That was naff! It's OK - I hear "Hyper Vertigo" is just "Vertigo" built with white stickered poly anyway. | 2009-06-10 15:19:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

We already have a dude called CCubbage here. Duplicate account names are permitted!? . | 2009-06-10 15:26:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
OMG - You are such an attention junkie. Yes, CCubbage, we all love you (as if that row of crowns under your name wasn't evidence enough for you). Sheesh! Welcome, my friend!! Programmer you say? Me three... what languages do you profess knowledge of (notice I don't say expertise )? | 2009-06-10 15:32:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Welcome, member #1923, I am member #1118. Please follow me, a cubicle has been assigned to you. You may decorate your cubicle as you desire, but please refrain from posting inappropriate content. A weighted companion cube will be delivered to you shortly. If you succeed in finishing the Boss Rush 3 levels, there will be cake. | 2009-06-10 15:40:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
*gasps* Aww... come now! Only you know how to white sticker poly and turn it into a masterpiece! It's not WHETHER you white sticker the poly, it's HOW you white sticker the poly. Duplicate account names are permitted!? Wow... and I thought the last name "Cubbage" was rare (and slightly silly). I am NOT an attention junkie - I saw the 'Confused Cartman' welcome thread pop to the top and about spit up my lunch.... then I thought, hey - I never introduced myself! And I use C++ and Visual Studio.NET generally, but I also used to develop video games for the 6502 and Z-80 processors in assembly language... had to go out and pour concrete for 5 years so I could communicate with people again. If you succeed in finishing the Boss Rush 3 levels, there will be cake. The cake is a lie!!! | 2009-06-10 15:44:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

I dont think any piece of clothing I own doesnt have hair on it...what are ya gonna do Yeah, definately have to work the rest of our lives around the cats... leather furniture, lighter clothing so the cat fur doesn't show up as much, loud automatic kitty litter changer. Also, the PS3 seems to always have kitty fur in the vents. But, hey! The cats rule the roost! | 2009-06-11 15:13:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Welcome I guess.... What's your favorite programming language? I'm feeling Python but I havn't used it a ton. Also, can you suggest anything I can do over the summer that would add to my resume when I graduate next spring? Yes I just hijacked your welcome thread to talk about computer science, but let's face it, it's a silly thread anyways. | 2009-06-11 15:26:00 Author: Walter-Kovacs Posts: 542 |
Hmm.. favorite language. I think with managed code and the different environments the "language" is actually becoming much less important (but I'm most comfortable with C++ context, such as C# and Java). Nowadays the "platform" is much more important and is really determined by what you're trying to accomplish. For instance, for Windows development that extends out to web rich functionality, Visual Studio.NET is extremely powerful - combined with ASP.NET and Silverlight it's incrediby rich. However, if you're trying to do cross-platform development Java is fantastic. If you're trying to develop web-based with functionality that extends out to as many devices as possible, HTML combined with Javascript and AJAX. My team actually uses all of this at once. | 2009-06-11 15:35:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
