"Search for riches in an ancient mayan temple."

Okay this one was my first ever level, I would looooove some feedback on it guys. Since posting it 5 months ago it's only had 14 plays (I think most of them are me testing it)

Since first putting it up I've edited it quite a bit, taking out the original ending of a big fall filled with points, and putting on a different ending. There isn't a whole lot to it, but I've just gone back and lowered the number of materials used so I've got a good chunk of thermo space back.

Okay feed that back away!

This level isn't a bad effort for a first attempt and many nice things are laid out here.

Pros:
+ Generally nice environments
+ Some good challenges
+ Hidden points
+ Well positioned points

Cons:
- A lack of decorations
- Doesn't have as much depth as it should
- Some challenges are very hard
- Quite a few Mm items

Overall 3 stars and tagged "fun"

I like this level. It may not look like it based on all my suggestions, but I really do.

- The rolling pin ambush that the natives set up at the start would be better as one long object, rather than a separate one in the fore- and backgrounds.
- That rolling yellow thing you need to push to climb up before the monkeys....needs to not be rolling. Either that, or make a background you can jump back to to go around it.
- For the switch that you need to push the block in for, maybe some sort of arrow in the background would make it clearer.
- Also, in that same area, there is no way to survive going back.
- The elevator for the top switch started flipping over for some reason. I think it needs to be made stiff, if it's not already.
- I fell past the elevator in that area and got stuck. Maybe making it lower via a switch at the bottom would fix it.
- Are the candles supposed to kill you? I've died a lot from them.

Amazing first level. Keep at it.

I think these are comments for the pyramid, so thanks for them I will look into them.

Hi coxy thanks for playing this one.

It is very bland isn't it. when I first made it I still had a lot of stuff to unluck so I'll definately be adding to it in the future.

I think I'll try and add a boss fight and maybe something more in the way of a story.

could you elaborate on which challenges were quite hard? I wasn't aware any part of it was hard but I've played it so much I can almost do it with my eyes closed.

The MM items were even worse before I changed the materials they were made out of

Thoughts as they happen:

- Agree about the Mm stuff. Always takes away from the level.

- I like the blocky foreground design. Quite abstract

- Couple of rough edges. The firey logs that come out after you came out a bit haphazard. Some rolled out, others didn't. Then there`s a sponge over a pit that gets banged about by the steel roller from above. I wasn`t sure if I was to grab that or not. Seemed like it was out of place, like it had been added last second.

- Just after that, there`s a really rough floor that I can`t walk straight on. To add to that nuisance there`s a border that prevents me from seeing the surface so I can`t see where there are juts to avoid them. Going over this with the corner editing tools would help. That`s the kind of thing people talk about when they say it lacks polish.

- The vertical conveyor belt. A bit of warning that I should be getting of it would help here. I just went up like every other level, only noticing too late that I was going to be killed. Felt a little cheap.

- The winch that takes you up the tower. You should set the grab switch to directional rather than on/off. This means that it`ll go back down when you`re done with it. Had I fallen off the tower, it`d been game over.

- I`d also bet that the zipline thingy isn`t emitted right? Whenever you include a vehicle or something that is vital to get past an obstacle, it should be emitted. Otherwise, if the player dies once it`s been activated but before they get to a checkpoint they can`t finish. In this case it`s not a huge deal as the checkpoint is fairly soon, but it`s certainly worth remembering for future levels.

EDIT- Should also point out that you testing your level doesn`t count towards the playcount. I think you might count as one, but after that it`s only other people that get counted. Though they get counted everytime.
