I found this out a while ago, and some of you may already know aboutn this, but you can cheat for a highscore in LBP! You can only do this in levels that have 2 races, but it's pretty fun getting #1 highscore on some levels. What to do: After finishing a race and there is another race gate right in front of the finish, go up to the race gate, start the race, and then go back to the finish that you finished the previous race with. It works!!! You can RE-USE a finish!!!

There's a glitch some people are exploiting (though its been a real while I did witness it) with only one race needed. If you look at the one player scores in my level Dig It!, the couple first guys are cheat there. .

Note to self... Remove or move previous finish line prior to next start gates. Oooh.. funnier would be just block it off, but make it seem possible wasting tons of time. ooooOOoo better yet!! Kill off anyone going back to the last finish line. Muuuhaah ahahahah.. Yeah.. that should just about do it.

it's pretty fun getting #1 highscore on some levels. are you serious? i don't understand where the fun is in getting #1 by cheating kind of sounds like a H4Hy type of thing

LOL at jwwphotos. I never knew about this "cheat" but I like getting #1 on my own without cheating. I feel more accomplised I guess.

Yeah I took that into account with my 'Little Vista Raceway' level which has lots of different races in it and made sure that can't happen by putting a one way door between the finish of each race and the start of the next. At least I think I have. Feel free to try it out and let me know if I missed anything and try for the high score while you're at it ( sorry , blatant self promoting took hold, i'm so bad )

This is why it's useful to know. Most of us here are creators so it's good to know these things.

Yeh, whenever I play 7 days online everyone else piles right up against the gate but I stand there just off the platform, and just run to the right. It's hilarious! And, this is really old news. It's not a cheat, it's a flaw in level design.

I agree.. level design flaw, which was done on purpose in 7 days (very funny!). Not really a cheat. Just like anything else in LBP, you need to think of these things when designing your level.

Actually, on the subject of race gates, if you turn the controller off during a race, the finish gate will deactivate, but the timer will still count down. i.e. it is impossible to finish the race and get a score from it without restarting.

lol. i've known about this for a while. My friend Vmethos used to do this on our one friend's level just to make him wonder what the heck was going on. Our friend kept saying "WHY AM I NOT GETTING THE HIGH SCORE! How are you doing this?!" ... lol. it was brilliant. Vmethos eventually showed him the "secret". It's more a design flaw, as Ccubbage said, than it is cheating, I think. And that, by the way, is EXACTLY why I did that in 7 days. ^_^ I wanted people to actually experience the "design flaw" first hand.
