Something to do with online create Beta? That would be my guess, as it is sort of DLC. Oh, it could be the DLC that the Beta testers get for taking part........ Or the Seph costume!

No, these patches install the new costumes, materials, and other DLC on your PS3. You've got pretty much every piece of DLC on your PS3 whether you purchased it or not - when you buy the DLC, you're basically buying a small code that tells LittleBigPlanet that you're allowed to use the content yourself. This, I assume, is to allow you to play levels that contain content that you don't own.

When the monsters pack update came (a few days before they actually released the pack), no one really cared so people just downloaded it when they would naturally have switched on their PS2. When the monsters pack actually came out, everyone rushed out to buy it. They downloaded 1Meg each at this point. If they had all downloaded the entire pack at the same time then the servers would have been absolutely nailed. Would have taken forever. It's good that they do it this way.

Well, i imagine this is for the new pack that was just announced, Killian made a thread about it., don't you think that's whait its for? And to have an update for just another pack would mean a pack with quite some stuff don't you think? lol, prolly not maybe 2 packs or just for some costumes.
