My New Sig, Quality Problem

Archive: 6 posts

Hey all, I've created a new sig, which I'm happy with. For some reason Photoshop Elements 5 doesn't have lense flare, so I have to go without. Like it? Hate it? I'd like your view.

Now, another problem. The quality, as I'm sure you can tell, is rubbish. I used the "Save for Web" feature on Photoshop, which autoselected a JPG, but PNG and GIF were not better. How can I get a good quality signature, under the pathetic 9.8kb limit?

Thanks for your time.

hard to compare if we don't see that other one
(but the lense flare in photoshop is pretty horrible, so i wouldn't use it)
Lens flare only works in RGB-mode btw, maybe you are in CMYK mode?

Is there a limit from 9,8kb on the sig? Are you sure because mine is around 50Kb.
(in PS you have the option to select your quality (0% > 100%) when exporting to jpg, don't know how it goes in PS elements)

I think a lens flare will make the image look like a filter spammer. Leave as is :3.

Agreeing with mother misty. The image allowance is large enough to have a good quality sig MUCH larger than yours.

I think maybe if you buy a feature bundle you get to use a larger image file, but yeah, it's 9.8 kb for me too2009-06-04 18:14:00

Use img instead of sigimg tags, it looks like to me.
Sigimg is uploaded to the server so it has a size limit; img pulls from somewhere else on the net.

Sorry, just realized what you were saying.

Don't upload it on the sig edit page. Upload it on an external site (I use photobucket), then copy the address that the site gives you and paste it in the sig edit box wrapped between and tags.
