Unused boss music?

Archive: 19 posts

Just remembered this old video, from a demo of LittleBigPlanet before it was released.

Go to about 1:30 and listen to the music...

Think they'll use this any time? I kind of like it.

EDIT: Here it is without annoying kids and background noise.

LMAO! Nope, they'll never use that although it is very funny. Doesn't really suit a boss battle like that one2009-06-04 07:29:00

Hahaha! How the collector freaked out when the armor was broken was hilarious!

No, the music is pretty poor. No wonder they didn't use it.

That's why I laughed at it!
Isn't really right for a boss battle anyway

I don't think so. It doesn't even suit a boss battle like that and I don't think it sounds very good.2009-06-04 19:00:00

It's not really good for a boss battle, but it kind of sounds like an evil theme or something. It kind of suits the Collector's Russian roots 2009-06-05 00:00:00

Quoted my message from over at another forum:

Battle on the Ice was composed by a Russian, about a Russian battle. And besides, it fit's the atmosphere MUCH better.

But the Apprentice theme? That's just LOL.

I still think LBP needs more music, and I could find some uses for this. X_X2009-06-05 01:27:00

OH WOW!

I actually know this song!
It's called "Dance of The Knights" I believe...

http://www.teachwithmovies.org/guides/romeo-and-juliet-DVDcover.jpg

It's from the movie adaptation of William Shakespearres' Romeo and Juliet

The song plays during the ballroom dancing sequence

The song was composed by Sergei Sergeynevich Prokofiev, same guy as Battle on The Ice!!!

Gah, you're right... hopefully we'll get more music soon, I can see how this music would be used, but I don't really like it...

The music wasn't composed FOR the apprentice or romeo and juliet, they've just just the work of a famous omposer.2009-06-06 09:49:00

it's montagues and capulets is it not? tchaikovsky wrote romeo and juliet (ballet) but prokofiev wanted to do his own version.

I actually think classical music would be great in lbp. the rights are cheap as chips these days and they can set a tone like no other.

That's a good song, but a bit serious for LBP. Also, spazzy boss at the end was funny. The guys were like "Oh yes you've got to stay alive because this is your last life"...boss killed..."YES! Nice j- oh."2009-06-06 12:23:00

That song was kind of ruined when Alan Sugar used it to introduce himself pointing his bladdy fingers at a bunch of egoists.
I don't think LBP has enough classical music in it, if someone wants some they have to settle for battle on the ice, which is frankly terrible.
Lol when I was thinking about that I thought how weird it would be if MM brought out a "Holst's Planets" minipack. Very apt.
