I want to make a PS3 theme

Would anyone want to create icons for a new ps3 theme I have in mind? I don't have any specific ideas thought out for the icons but once I tell you which costume I've decided on from which game you are free to do what you feel is right. If you're interested write something here and I will decide on the next move. I've not even begun work on the costume. I picked out reference images from different games (it's a series). I would also be absolutely interested in using icons created by several people if you would maybe create one each or something. We could do that.

I've never used the ps3 theme prog so if anyone's familiar with it shout out?

Goodbye 3point. Hello Vray. A quick google and a few button clicks and here's a quick test render of Vray. Same engine MM use only they know HOW to use it. I've never touched it before. I followed a quick google guide and didn't change much. I'd have to read up on it. But you can always finish renders in photoshop. Anyways I thought this looked quite nice.

It's an untouched 3dmax render. No fine tuning of any sorts. Basically I've not put any work into it at all just switched to the Vray render engine.2009-06-04 00:25:00

Don't know if these are of any use to you, they're not quite as polished as I'd have liked, but I created them in Little Big Planet so was lumbered with the appalling photo res.

The models are available as a prize in my level if you wanted to create your own icons out of a different LBP material. Bit of a boring job though tbh lol. The level's called XMB Icon Studio anyway, there's full instructions on exporting and editing your icons and there's a bit of info on using the compiler in there too.

Failing that just google xmb icons, there are loads about.

Those look awesome. Nice job. I've modeled a new costume from another game (still in the works). I need icons that are a crossover between lbp and that game...need to look into the compiler too. it must've taken a long time making them using lbp?2009-07-16 12:59:00

Yeah, took ages lol. Taking the photos wasn't too bad, but editing the icons in photoshop to make the background transparent was a nightmare. Looking back it probably wasn't one of my better ideas lol.

I used this tutorial for the theme compiler, it's pretty straight forward tbh.

I already have the logo ready which will be on the wallpaper itself. I'm also making the wallpaper of course with the new costume and i'm going to wait for Gotrea to make stickers which will be in it. She's busy next week but the week after she has time off so it her stuff should be done then.2009-07-16 20:46:00

(Hey?! Dat first fella looks familiar...)

He probably exported the file onto a thumb-drive under some sort of .jpg. They old forum at Criterion Games managed to do the same thing.

Finally! Someone made a LittleBIGPlanet theme. I swear, I thought it would've never come (despite the fact that, uh... LBP is a STAPLE IN THE PS3 FRANCHISE!! C'mon Sony! You can at least make a wallpaper for the game!). Now my ultimate PBL-reality is finished (except for some packs. Must get PSN Card...)		2009-07-17 04:44:00
