Boss Fight: Naxxramas - Arachnid Quarter - Part 1

Hey guys, i've gotten into the habit of doing boss fights and my latest one is based off Naxxramas of World of warcraft, now before you think "i dont like WoW i wont like this"
I would appreciate it if you'd give it a look at, here are some screenshots of the the level.

All the creatures move and the bosses all have a mechanic similar to originals, i also put help down for people who wish to play my level who havent played the original bosses in wow.

I hope you enjoy it and feedback would be Awesome! (i think i need to work on atmosphere and mood, what do you think?)

I've never played WoW and I still enjoyed the bosses. I liked the first one more than the second but that might be because I didn't go next to the second one, I just shot from far lol. The first one reminded me of some of the bosses in Kingdom Hearts for some reason. I couldn't figure out how to beat the first one for a little while, I kept going at the top and some gas kept killing me, when I noticed what to do I felt stupid. Oh and when I finished the level I had the top score . I'm looking forward to the two player boss as these were pretty cool.2009-06-03 18:45:00

First of all, the first boss was FANTASTIC. I loved how it sort of pulsed, and all of the movements were super smooth. The detail and focus of the design were awesome. The little one was confusing, because I couldn't jump high enough to kill it, so I just stayed in front of it. The smoke that comes over seemed to last a little longer than I'd have wanted - not sure if I was supposed to do something to make it go away? I had the intention of making a boss for one of my levels somewhere along the lines, but this really raised the bar.

I was not a huge fan of the second boss, as I also shot it from a distance. I don't play WoW, so I'm not sure if it was a reference to something. I have you 5 stars and a heart for the first boss though.

Looking forward to future iterations.

Hey thanks for the review there,

Ahh the little one, yeah you're supposed to jump from the front (a running jump required) to get onto his head and kill it, but i expect this problem is a common one so i'll have to see what i can do (i know the game wont let me make it any smaller).

the smoke (locust) yeah i believe you are correct here it possibly does stay longer than usual, i'll fix this and reduce it's time.

Ha Ha the second boss i feel that ones not working as intended with people shooting from distance. but i can see how theres no real reason to get any closer.
The main mechanic with the second boss is that when she goes frenzied (heartbeat) you kill a worshipper.
I will look into making the dodging of bullets more worthy.
