Yeah, it started at 5 and it's still going.

This is really awkward, the trailer for this soccer game didn't play. now Pele through his translator is giving a big speech about the transformative power of soccer on young people.

I don't know where you guys live, but in the states it started at 8.

EA's conference started at 5, I think.

Their conference has been really dull. The coolest things they introduced were the LBP-inspired uPlay and Avatar, but they didn't talk about uPlay that much, at least not enough for me to fully understand its purpose.

I live near where they're being held. You live on the east coast. They started at 5, because that was the time it was AT E3 when it started. Anyway, they just showed ruse, but the problem is McHale was hyping up the table that no one gets.

Well...ruse was short! Not interested in what's going on now....

Sorry, I meant 5 O'Clock E3 time, that is, Pacific Standard.

Which, by the way, is in "the states", which also happen to contain 4 altogether separate time zones. Sounds like you're on the East Coast.

trailer is pretty crazy!, I'm already in love with the style and we haven't even seen any gameplay on it yet, hopefully later on this week. (Fingers crossed!) Also Ryan if you mean the first AC it was alright, a tad repetitive, but i loved it, if you can handle a little bit of the same, game was awesome!2009-06-02 02:53:00

Trailer was pretty good, but it was all cinematic, nothing in-game. So, while it was incredibly gorgeous, it doesn't mean a whole lot until we see the actual game. I have high hopes.

In the trailer, there's some kind of festival going on in Venice, 1498 (I think that was the year?). It's evening, there are fireworks, paper lanterns, and an outdoor masquerade dance in some city courtyard. A group of shady secret society gents stroll up to the ball and stand menacingly at its outskirts, while one (the pudgy one) partakes in the dance, much to the visible chagrin of the group's clearly-defined leader.

While amidst the throes of dancy pleasure, a certain familiar figure appears from the crowd and murders him with a stealthy throat-stab.

A short chase ensues.

Well, screw my description, there's the trailer for you right above.

Can't wait to see the actual game in action.

Ubisoft's conference kinda sucked I thought. Way too much talking, not enough games. AC2 trailer was very cool and Splinter Cell Conviction was good. Also had a new camera for the Wii that seems to do some of the stuff MS's camera does... it tracks your entire body anyway. No voice recognition.

Way too much Imagine stuff but I guess it's a good money maker. Didn't watch the Rabbids stuff.

James Cameron was pretty cool but he just spoke and showed absolutely nothing. Still was interesting to hear him talk about Avatar.

Pele's football game actually reminded me of Harry Potter with the school/academy and all. Could be good but I have no idea how it controls. For the Wii.

Overall lots of Nintendo stuff, Avatar, AC2 and SC:C. That sums up Ubisoft.

It was TOTALLY Harry Potter. I would go so far as to say it was a blatant rip-off of Harry Potter. It's Hogwarts but with Soccer!

i'm not saying it doesn't work in some weird way, but it is kind of weird when all these magical wonderful, fantastical things are happening in this hogwarts-clone, and then the students all go out into the field to play...

soccer.

Regular old, non-magical soccer.

I'm sorry, it's just freaking weird.

When you guys will have the chance, watch the AC2 trailer in HD. It really rocks.

And also a nice demonstration of what we can do at our new Montreal's Cinematic studios.

This is my review of e3 so far

MICROSOFT:

Pros:
-Halo ODST looks killer
-Twitter, Last.FM, and Facebook integration put Xbox Live MILES ahead of PSN
-Crackdown 2 = wet dream
-Lost Planet 2 looks nice
-Glad that my Xbros get some MGS lovin'
-Full game rentals are good... in concept, but...
-FFXIII looked beautiful
-Hideo Fu**ing Kojima

Cons:
-MILO looked horribly gimmicky, and even scripted at times...
-Halo Reach sounds really lame, and derivative
-Left 4 Dead 2 is the first time I've ever seen Valve stoop so LOW to milk a franchise. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE DLC CAMPAIGNS, HUH YOU TRAITORS?!?!?!?!
-Modern Warfare 2 reveal was pretty underwhelming...
-No MGS4 port
-No appearance by RARE
-Avatar features look useless
-No Half Life 2: Episode 3 reveal T_______T''''''
-Zune HD will NEVER catch up to the iPod Touch
-NO GEARS OF WAR 3 INFO OR TEASER, WHAT THE ******?!
-Game rentals will be awful because of the small harddrives on standard 360 SKU's... PS3 would never have this problem
-No love to Indie developers... Microsoft prefers shooters over creativity

UBISOFT:

Pros:

-Ubisoft is poised to make a killing in the casual market
-Assassins Creed 2 looks superb on both 360 and PS3
-Rabbids Go Home made me grin
-Red Steel 2 looks pretty slick
-Splinter Cell Conviction looks awesome

Cons:

-Lame presentation (except for Pele and the presenter)
-casual games aren't my cup of tea (personal preference, not so much a flaw)
