Tired of wondering...

Archive: 10 posts

i just noticed something, if i want someone/need someone to respond on a thread, they respond hours later cuz they dont know if i post,

or i dont enjoy clicking on a thread 100 times waiting to see if someone responded...

this idea could also help for project threads...

there should be a box in each thread that says "subscribe to thread"

so whenever there is a post, you get a notification!

There is. Check thread tools.

Though you don't get a notification, it comes up in the User CP.

Or just click new posts, like I do every time and it will only be there if someone has posted in the thread since you last visited it 2009-06-01 23:23:00

you can use auto-subscribe and or / get it to email you on specific threads when they get updated. I have mine auto-subscribe to any thread I post in, and auto subscribe and email me on any thread I start.2009-06-01 23:44:00

Yeah, that's what i do as well, since it only shows the threads you haven't viewed (with new posts of course)
A lot easer to see what threads have replies.
Also in your statistics if you click "view all threads created by (name)" it shows all your threads and if they have anything new the title should be shown in bold.

Also, there is a "suscribe to thread" option... >_>

This is what I do as well, it's probably my most used feature of the site. It would be nice to get a PM for every new post in the threads you subscribe to though.

I do the new posts thing and just look at the icons on the left. Tells you if you've posted or not and if it's new since the last time you were signed in. Very helpful.2009-06-02 04:23:00

If so many use it could be made into a standard view, couldn't it?
