7 Days - A level by xkappax, GruntosUK, HardSync, and Catiers
Archive: 142 posts
Hello everyone! A few of you know that Gruntos, Hardsync, my husband and myself have been working on a level together. It's taken almost 2 months to complete, and I have to say that working with 3 other people without some sort of online create is REALLY REALLY hard. The level fell apart, sometimes it wasn't locked, etc, etc... but all that aside, we still ended up enjoying ourselves and making what I believe to be quite a silly level. I don't want to spoil too much here, but I will say this... This level deals with the change in the "Cool Levels" system, although instead of attacking it, it takes a different, light hearted approach. I hope you all will enjoy it. It's meant to be a fun, goofy level, and not a super serious romp through the land that is Cool Levels. The level: 7 Days It's under my psn, xkappax, but I want to stress that Catiers, GruntosUK and HardSync did a tremendous amount of work on this! Here are a few photos that I've taken. Hope you all enjoy this! ^_^ http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/haleybrooks/APhoto_44.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/haleybrooks/APhoto_47.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/haleybrooks/APhoto_50.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/haleybrooks/APhoto_52.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/haleybrooks/APhoto_53.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/haleybrooks/APhoto_60.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y84/haleybrooks/APhoto_61.jpg Aaaand... here's the video. 4MekW0eMgvA Have fun with this level, and enjoy! ^_^ And if you like the level, please tag it with Hoists | 2009-05-25 15:29:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Pro's: -I love how you make fun of the H4H/dark matter levels -ROCKET CHEETAH - optional prizes -nice little house! (althought the PS3 looks kinda odd ) - the TV, all the details. cons: -maybe a bit too much of the dark matter/bad level? -at the very beginning when you go up with the ROCKET CHEETA WOOO I fell off because I didn't grab so I had to restart. - you didn't use infinite checkpoints, since most H4H levels use them nowadays. -at the third area, I fell again and hit all of the prize bubbles, and I enabled prizes overall, 4 stars but not a heart, since it uses a bit too much of the dark matter, maybe | 2009-05-25 16:10:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
Hey that video was funny. You're explaining what are the cool pages and we have to fight for the first seven days to get plays and then you receive the notification showing that I AM fighting the cool pages with republishing. Awesome. lol . | 2009-05-25 16:16:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
It's great to see a collaboration from some of our best creators, and my high expectations were definatly met Pros: - The hub works really well - Visuals are great as usual - It slowly gets more difficult, but it doesn't become too challenging - The story is awesome! - I like how each H4H level follows a certain theme - I love the idea of jumping inside the tv Cons: - If you fall from the first rocket cheetah you're forced to restart - The first H4H level needs clearer directions, i thought it was broken a few times and almost restarted - I don't like how you kept the VR theme for the other 2 H4H levels, it just made them feel like an extension of the hub i gave it 5 stars and a heart, although there's some room for improvement | 2009-05-25 16:19:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
Yes Ranger... but you're being much more successful than me!!!!! Just got done playing this.... FANTASTIC. Absolutely loved it. My only concern is that many may not finish it.... Because of the complexity of the level it's sometimes really difficult to tell where to go next. Now, if you wander around a bit you figure it out pretty quickly, but a bit more direction would probably help, such as neon arrows appearing and pointing in the directions you can go in. This, by the way, isn't MY complaint, as I totally enjoyed it - it's just thinking ahead on the people who will be playing it. Awesome, 5 stars, a heart obviously! | 2009-05-25 16:22:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Haha, one of the funniest levels I've played and a real middle-finger to those H4H BadBoyz Pros: +Crazy, but organised..... +The humour of the entire level +The Worlds Most Giant Rocket Cheetah! +Mm being represented by a Rocket Cheetah - WTF!* +Actually managing to make dark matter levels pretty artistic (I saw those drawings!) +A show down against a Rocket Cheetah! *Wow That's Funny Cons: -Not much really. It's hard with levels like this as you can't say - too much Dark matter, as that's the point! I really loved the level - 5 stars and a heart from me | 2009-05-25 16:47:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Thanks for the comments everyone so far, it was actually very hard to finish and keep things coordinated between us. I'm pleased the hard work is paying off and that people are playing and liking it | 2009-05-25 16:56:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
Yes Ranger... but you're being much more successful than me!!!!! Isn't both Vertigo and Crazy Train on page 3 of the cool levels by now or my level did climb in the second or first page? . | 2009-05-25 17:39:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
All right, guys, I have made several changes to this level to try to help the player find out where they're supposed to go. Hopefully this will help. We're down to a 3 star rating, so naturally I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight. Okay. First off, I added some numbers and arrows to show the different sections. I also fixed the cheetah lift. It ain't pretty, but it works. If someone breaks it now, i'm sorry, but you're a jerk and trying to break the level. >_< Secondly, I'd like to address the subject of the dark matter. I realize there is a lot of it showing. Here's why. I went back to fix the level and cover up the dark matter about a week ago. Any time I add anything to those areas, whether I glue, bolt, put it on a piston, WHATEVER, either an emitter breaks, or something else in the level breaks. Even if I add decorations on top of it, the same thing happens. I seriously had nothing but problems with trying to cover stuff up. So, please be kind when you see dark matter in this level. Afterall, cool levels is full of dark matter, right? I will most likely continue to change things on this level, but I'm done for now. I hope you guys enjoy it and appreciate it for what it is, and that you won't be too harsh on how it looks, because the looks are not the point of this level. | 2009-05-25 18:44:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I honestly could care less about the look | 2009-05-25 18:56:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
I just played this level and i really enjoyed it because i know exactly what this level was about. You guys made a very good presentation of he kinds of levels that really sticks in the cool levels, The H4Hs, Trophy levels, and The gazillion prize types. People make too much of these levels and Immature players take advantage of them thus over shadowing the levels that are really worth playing and hearting. I for one wasnt bothered by the dark matter and the crazyness on this level, Since your trying to portrait a novice level with it. I thik youve really made a point and i hope that this level will send a good message to everyone, especially MM. I for one only had my "The Count Of St Claire Island" lvls stick in page 6 on the 5th day, page 4 on its 6th and finally only 1 day in page 3 cool levels. I manage to rack up a thousand plays on both but then it was all over before i knew it. I share your pain guys! You might as well add my name into that grave yard. Overall: This level had a great message to everyone 5 stars and Funky + Heart Edit: Oh and The 1st Encounter for the Cheetah boss was memorable to me.. that was very good guys! | 2009-05-25 20:13:00 Author: graygoose Posts: 371 |
I loved it. Had loads of fun with it ^^ | 2009-05-25 23:01:00 Author: Morrinn3 Posts: 493 |
This is definitely a creator's level... tons of inside jokes, and alot of sublime humor. A pretty good visual style, lots of variety, and I think the hub design is great. I really enjoyed all the variety and the use of cheetah was fantastic. The graveyard at the end was sadly inspiring... I could fill a cemetery with the dead end levels I've made lol Good work. | 2009-05-25 23:49:00 Author: Unknown User |
Thanks a lot, all of you ^_^ And Graygoose, of course I feel your pain, too. Your level was wonderful. NinjaMcWiz's levels are wonderful too... and just to see them fall into obscurity is HORRIBLE. Anyway, the graveyard, that was Grant's idea, I think. He's the one who built it. We had talked about finally saving your level at the very end, and then your 7 days being up. The level was originally called Cruel Levels, but the 7 days theme carried through way too much for me not to call it that. Also, that was the "working title" of the level, and I think we all just got used to it. ^_^ And there's a lot of variety because there were four of us working on it. One of us would pick it up and then pass it to the next, and we never really knew what would come out. I think in the end it's pretty clear that all of our styles shine through in the different areas that we did, whether it be Larry's insane vehicle, or Grant's hub, or HardSync's "annoying midboss" ^_^ It's funny, too. When this all started out ... we just talked about making a goofy level. At one point there was a rocket chicken which I totally forgot to use... because it was HILARIOUS. We also had a rocket cat that just had all those cat stickers all over it. I scrapped that for the rocket cheetah with all the stickers all over it. ^_^ I had no idea what this level was going to turn out like... we had no plan... nothing. lol. Two months later and 283 facebook messages later and we got a level out of it! Boy, I wonder if online create will alleviate some of the craziness of making a level with multiple people. I hope so. This was an insane experience. | 2009-05-26 00:16:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I really don't know what you're all complaining about. It is certainly possible to design a level that lives on and on.... Ramp proved that. The key is not copying ramp, but in finding the NEW ramp. And don't say bomb levels - we have enough of those already. You know, maybe that "Cat vs Jaguar" level wasn't so bad after all.... | 2009-05-26 00:25:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Boy, I wonder if online create will alleviate some of the craziness of making a level with multiple people. I hope so. This was an insane experience. Yeah, me and Neverynnal did the same thing, and that was a monster headache with all the problems of old patches (capture switch deletes etc), revisions, therm limitations, copy/lock mishaps, and just trying to get on the same page at all times... and communicate to each other what was what - it was a nightmare, but fun. I couldn't imagine trying to juggle it with 4 people though. Your styles all definitely shine through in each portion, but it was well blended regardless. My favorite part of the level was when the legendary beast ominously runs by in the background hole in the cave. It was just so ridiculous. | 2009-05-26 01:16:00 Author: Unknown User |
I played this today, and I loved it. I really didn't find anything I didn't like about it. It was hilarious, and very fun to play. Oh yeah, and all my levels belong in that graveyard. I also feel the pain. GREAT WORK!!!!! | 2009-05-26 01:24:00 Author: smasher Posts: 641 |
Awesome level, i'd give you a review, but there's nothing i can say that hasn't been said already. It was great, fun, and a hook to the stomach to H4H, can't get better than that! The one and only con i found in it is at the end one can get lost or think the level's broken, since you return to an area already visited, i thought i had to go back to the house, not to the right, and had to ask Ccubage for directions... >_> But other than that it was great! Not to mention i got the top score, making the level even better And seriously, if you could do that with 4 people separately, now imagine what kinds of awesome levels you'll be able to make once online create be available! Overall rating 10/10 Cool! (Sadly, it appears the level got overrun and dropped in the cool pages :/ kinda ironic if you think about it) | 2009-05-26 01:40:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Lol, just lol. Pros: -Wonderful detail in the house, each room had a different theme and personality.Walking under the dudes feet and hearing him rip one on me, i was like "He didnt just do that" LOL -Loved the idea of the sterotype of h4h levels. -The noobish feel in the first segment. I bet it was actually hard for good creators to make a level like this. -Those useless prizes are the most terrifing obstacles i have ever seen I had to work extra hard to avoid those, very innovative. -I liked the boss, using the sword to hit him, perfect direction as well. -Chuck norris. Cons: -I accidently fell and got like 100 prize bubbles, then i had to go delete them all because the ,message kept popping up. -Had no idea where to go when the elevator brought me back to the brilliantly designed pod.Took me awhile to figure out. -This isnt a complaint, i just thought that the cheetah was going to set you up or double cross you due to him being an icon of those sorts of levels. Not the "OOOooooOO brain control" stuff. Great level though.4 Stars | 2009-05-26 01:49:00 Author: Jrange378 Posts: 573 |
Ooh, a new Ramp, huh? How about "Ramp vs Jaguar"?! Your styles all definitely shine through in each portion, but it was well blended regardless. My favorite part of the level was when the legendary beast ominously runs by in the background hole in the cave. It was just so ridiculous. This was a spoof on "distress in the ocean" | 2009-05-26 02:01:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Once again you've made me fall out off the couch laughing. Thanks for doing this kind of stuff. I bet it was hilarious just building the whole dark matter/sponge and what not area. Loved the pod. Loved all the different areas you guys put together for this level. Oh yeah..thank you for allowing me to finally fight a rocket cheetah boss. I've been waiting a long time for that. Will be showing this to all my friends. Hoists.....that's gonna be the new tag of all the cool kids! | 2009-05-26 02:03:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
My husband and I tag everything with Hoists. We think it's hilarious. So HardSync added that at the end of the level, cause he thought it was funny, too. Doing this kind of stuff is fun for me. It's more relaxed than making an actual level, so I don't really have to worry how polished it is... I can just try to make something fun. GruntosUK and Hardsync really added a lot of their own humor, and it just ended up working wonderfully! The Rocket Cheetah boss... I know every creator wants to destroy their vile enemy, the rocket animal. But it's not the cheetah's fault. Cheetahs don't ruin levels. Cheetahs in the hands of the wrong people ruin levels. Remember that always. The dark matter and sponge area was a blast to build. I built that with my husband. It's all completely based on real levels that we've played. Hardsync and I played a level called "Bubble Cheese". Hardsync and i also played a level together that had that wrestler with mouths glued all over it. I've seen levels with music boxes EVERYWHERE. I even played a level where the description was just "Even I don't no" Everything in that area is based on a real "cool levels" experience we had. And yes, even the giant key switch was! I pretty much sat down with Larry when we started building that and told him a few things I wanted to have in that section, and I said "it's okay to make it as ugly as humanly possible" to which he replied "I know just what to do!" ^_^ | 2009-05-26 02:10:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I'll definitely have to play this tomorrow (M chicken pox is still infectious ) and when I do so I'll tell you my opinion, which I have no doubt will be positive, after all it is a collaboration of some of the greatest builders in LBP. P.S. Don't thank this post Me telling you I'm going to play a level is by no means an guarantee that I'll review it, although I will | 2009-05-26 02:25:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
Ok now I loved every second of this! That was funny and well designed. The only thing negative I can find in this level is that the first part was the best. Seriously, the first time I saw the rocket cheetah I fell off my chair laughing. The poorly designed vehicules, horribly decorated levels, music boxes and mouths everywhere, etc. That's pure genius.... of lol. 5 stars and heart because you're awesome. . | 2009-05-26 03:14:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Wonderful level there lol. Played it earlier today, just got lazy with the reviewing ;p Just curious, how many of those prizes did you make? XD I actually had a ridiculous amount of fun afterwards going through the crap prizes to see what you were giving me Sadly, i actually had some of them in my popit already >.> Only con i had has been mentioned before, and thats it was confusing where to go after defeating the beast of legend. Tagged hoists for sure ;p | 2009-05-26 03:19:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |
lol all that work trying to find the levels and they are dead =[ It was funny of course. I know it's like making fun of ummm some not so great levels but it was still fun to play. I'm wondering how many people will not understand the point of the level. I'm not even sure how 4 people worked on it together o.O How come I've never noticed the tag "hoists" before? lol Oh the first time I died after killing the cheetah boss because I dropped my light saber next to the switch and in front of the portal so I just kept spawning on it. I guess that's my fault? haha | 2009-05-26 04:15:00 Author: Nattura Posts: 86 |
this was so amusing and fun! i cant really say anything else, it was just, even in the poor areas that show how bad cool levels was, i still thought it was great... idk, its midnight and im kinda lost >.< ill review it better tomorrow or... in 12 hrs cuz its tomorrow.. or... you know what i mean.. | 2009-05-26 05:30:00 Author: johnrulz77 Posts: 835 |
Played it, I thought the best part was the cardboard elevator!! Also, I took a pic of my pod. I decorated it I dunno what to say about the level, because with this paticular style it is hard to improve the mocking tone of it. If it were realistic (say, called for holiday just after you publish it or something) and had good visuals, I could leave proper feedback. 5 stars, and IN YOUR FACE!!! tagged it "Ramps" | 2009-05-26 07:00:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
Self referential levels ftw! Yeah I loved it. Was actually laughing out loud at parts. When the huge cheetah passing by the gap in the wall, I had to put the controller down. I love the idea and I love the execution. A real wink and a nod to all the creators who spend days, weeks and months making levels for others to enjoy only to be rewarded by having you level 1 starred into obscurity by spiteful little....yeah. The two problems I found were that when I first jumped onto the rocket cheetah lift, I tapped R1 and it went away to the left of the area and broke. The other one I had was with that the bear (I think it was a bear, it had a radio over its face) that lifts you up after the sponge car gets crushed. It seems you have to grab the leg on the left, but as I kept grabbing the sponge floor, I tried grabbing higher up, which didn`t work. I`d suggest adjusting that part. The only other thing that I have to say about this level is how sad it is! And there lies the genius. It`s funny and cute the whole way through. But right there at the end we`re shown amazing levels that couldn`t get past the H4H lynch mobs who hit you with a 1 star simply to screw you over. One of the best ever. 5 stars, hearted and with a 'Brilliant' tag (sorry, couldn`t bring myself to give it anything else). | 2009-05-26 10:11:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
Just curious, how many of those prizes did you make? XD I actually had a ridiculous amount of fun afterwards going through the crap prizes to see what you were giving me Sadly, i actually had some of them in my popit already >.> I made all the prizes in the very first section (the one with the sponge and dark matter) except for the dinosaur. That was a hilarious dinosaur from back in the beta days that I won when I first got lbp. The rest came from one of those 300 prize levels. It was funny of course. I guess that's my fault? haha I want you guys to understand that my section wasn't necessarily making fun of people who make that sort of level. I am by no means any sort of "design elitist" or anything like that! ^_^ I realize that for some people, that's the best they can do, especially if they are children. I have said many times before that i LOVE playing levels that are made by little kids. They are brilliantly hilarious and I love every minute of them. I wanted that section to look like Dr H4H just threw it together though, and unfortunately, that's how those sort of levels are designed, too. and yes, Hoists is a tag. lol. I can never get it to come up when cycling, but I tag levels that all the time! Uh oh. I'm really late for work, I have to cut this short. I will look into the problems that you guys had and see if I can fix them tonight! Thanks to all of you for your input and I'm glad you guys are liking it! ^_^ | 2009-05-26 12:29:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Nice work guys, my favourite touches (among many) were the fatal prize bubbles, the horribly designed stairs and the big pile of crowns underneath Heart4hart. Oh,and the hub was trademark Gruntos, it always impresses me! No problems with anything here, flowed smooth as butter. | 2009-05-26 12:41:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |

Oh,and the hub was trademark Gruntos, it always impresses me! No problems with anything here, flowed smooth as butter. Yes, Grant's level layout skills are impeccable. Meanwhile, you've got someone like me who just slaps down materials and prays. It was definitely a learning experience for me. Quite honestly, I learned more about level design making this level with Hardsync and GruntosUK than I have in my entire littlebigexperience. The "fatal prize bubbles" came from a level that I played online. There were so many prize bubbles, but it was really fun to try to avoid them. My husband and I were thinking of new and cool ways to avoid them. I think we ended up picking up like one of the bubbles. ^_^ I didn't design that section, Grant did, and his obstacles were brilliant, but just if anyone was curious, that's where the idea came from. Oh, and concering that section... you can totally get that shark prize bubble that's embedded into the swingamajig! My husband got it yesterday when we were testing. As far as the crowns go, I wanted dr h4h to have as many crowns as he could possibly get his hands on. I thought that was hilarious. He's sorta like parasoldier from the animation heh heh. I'm on my lunch break right now, but as I said before, sometime tonight I'll see if i can work out some of the issues. Thanks again, guys. | 2009-05-26 17:35:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I loved it, but I got stuck at the end. I liked the pod like hub idea though. Running back to the same place like it has multiple levels is very interesting and rarely used indeed. The boss was very cool, and I liked the frights at the last part before the boss fight. | 2009-05-26 17:36:00 Author: Ninteen45 Posts: 67 |

after boss fight. I went back, and kinda figured what to do. I should switch the dissolve pods, right? | 2009-05-26 17:39:00 Author: Ninteen45 Posts: 67 |
After the boss fight, all you have to do is fly up and to the left, flip the switch and you should go through a long hallway and come back out into the pod area. I am going to add a mouth that tells you where to go from there, because some people have been confused by that part. I'll do my best to add more direction to this level if needed. like i said, I'm on my lunch break right now though, so no PS3 until later for me. ^_^ | 2009-05-26 17:45:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

Personally, I think this is brilliant, but I could see how some people could get confused. Maybe a bit different material leading you into the different areas would help. I actually had someone PSN me yesterday because they couldn't find the end and knew I had played it. I replied "after you kill the boss just go right". Reply: "But I've been that way before". I replied "Trust me... just go right". Reply "OH! There it is!" | 2009-05-26 19:02:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

I emitted doors to block off every way you can't go Ccubbage, and tried to make the hub as easy as possible to navigate, its always my general plan to make you feel lost or that you're in a complete new area before you pass a previous section or end up where you have already been with a new route open. I agree more direction might be needed however, if you play something a 100 times you fly through it without a second care to what a new player might experience. | 2009-05-26 19:12:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
I personally think your hud part of the level is incredibly genuine. To me it was clear and feel great. I love when everything is interconnected and you're back in from another place and then that other one, etc. I really didn't tought i'd pop under fake pod at the end. It's brilliant and really make you feel "****, this is nice level design". . | 2009-05-26 19:33:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

Ha hah hah. I'm loving this hoists thing! I can't fault the person that tagged it "ramps" though. it does have ramps. I think Grant's whole connectivity thing in the level works, too. I think I may have a subtle way of giving a bit more direction, but it won't be anything too crazy, you know, like 5,000 flashing arrows pointing you in the direction you should go. I am a huge fan of role playing games, so I don't believe the player should be lead by the hand everywhere. It's true that everywhere else is blocked off, so if a player takes a moment to walk around and explore, they'll work out what to do. The only thing that worries me about that is the players who will think they broke the level and quit out. Oh well. Can't please everyone, I guess. | 2009-05-26 20:03:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
hmm I guess I didn't mean to say making fun....poking fun? lol I know nothing was made with bad intentions. I was expecting to run into a section called 'when the bombs fall' or something lol. I like the silly races. The one starts and I ran backwards and it's over lol. The dissolve matter that doesn't work was so good. The huge car thing with one wobbly tire haha. I'm glad you used the valentines day cat sticker. I haven't seen that used and I think its hilarious looking. I don't think there's anything wrong with the layout. It's not hard to figure out where to go. I think people are just so ready to give up on a level if they have to think or walk around a tad sometimes. I don't like levels that constantly tell you what to do. That kind of takes away from you experiencing things. There's a wide range of players though... Maybe if you add more direction maybe do it in a creative way instead of just text saying "go here ->" lol the prize bubbles were scary...I ended up turning off the collect option because I got too many prizes lol. I can't handle it! | 2009-05-26 20:03:00 Author: Nattura Posts: 86 |
I'm just lazy but I did read your psn message. I'm going to play this tonight. | 2009-05-26 20:20:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
Yeah, those prize bubbles were scary. Grant did a great job picking them out. I got to pick a few out, too, for the area with the hoist that takes you up to the prize area, and I've gotta say... I love that white dog that's one of the first prizes. There could very well have been a "when bombs fall" area if bombs didn't take up a gazillion bars of the thermometer! A lot more things blew up in my original vision of the level. The silly races came from my friend mike's level "the trials of zumacalis" ... while it is a serious level, my friend patrick (vmethos) realized that you can just run backwards and get max points if two races are right next to one another, because the game doesn't care WHAT end gate you go through, so long as it's an end gate. I'm glad you ran backwards to get that one, Nattura. That was my intention. That huge car with the wobbly tire is larry's "pimp mobile" ... the funniest thing about that car is that he built that and said "look at this abomination" ... a few days ago when I was scouting for prizes to put in the bubbles at the beginning of grant's section, I won a car EXACTLY like that. ^_^ The valentines day cat sticker. Frankly, I'm surprised I didn't graffiti your level with that and take pics of it yet, Nattura. I use either that or the Ghosts with the paint eyes. I LOVE that cat sticker. Makes me laugh every single time. I think I know EXACTLY what I'm going to do to add direction, too. lol. | 2009-05-26 20:24:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I totally totally agree with the layout being fine.... keep in mind, though - this is the very first level ever where people on my friends list started sending me PSN messages asking me how to complete it.... I'M JUST THE MESSENGER! And in fact, my PERSONAL opinion is that if some people get confused... GOOD! It fits the theme of trying to find your level in cool pages. Getting lost is absolutely brilliant! In fact, I think you should take out the emitted doors and make people wander helplessly for hours - it would thoroughly make the point! Sorry.... I'm a tad jumpy today... I've been watching my level sit on page 3 for days now with bomb levels being spam published around me. By the way, you know that dude who had the level "Best level ever!" and "Second best level ever!" on the showcase? This past weekend he managed to get his new, horrible level up to page 4 in cool pages by playing his own level OVER 2000 TIMES! There was 6 hearts, and over 2000 plays on it! And some of the other levels I was competing with were being republished every 5 minutes 24 hours a day! That's what we're up against, folks! | 2009-05-26 20:27:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Uhhh, not sure if I missed something, but I got stuck on the bit where you open the cage with the dinosaur-dude in it. The door wouldn't open! I grabbed the dino-dude, pushed him over to the door, climbed all over him, repeated with the switch in the other direction, grabbed the door, ran all over...nothing. I had to end the level there Other than that, I absolutely LOVED this level! The way that you made it look like a H4H level in parts, but it still played AMAZINGLY. The races were especially fun, as were the whacky vehicles. I did have to restart after falling off the first rocket cheetah (awesome, by the way), but that's just a little thing. The rest of the level was just...win! On another note, I'm 1/2 way through the latest comic :3 | 2009-05-26 20:54:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
That dinosaur was broken for a little while yesterday, is that when you played it? I think I have since fixed him, but I'll check him again. I might have to attach a rod to his butt if he keeps this up. you have to flip the switch and he's supposed to shoot prize bubbles that open the door. I'll look into it. | 2009-05-26 21:07:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Yeah I played it yesterday. Definitely no prize bubbles. I'll replay this when I can | 2009-05-26 21:12:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
Yeah, that explains it. He fell over during one of my revisions yesterday. I wasn't even working even close to that area. he was only like that for a little while, but that must've been when you played it. I had him bolted, and it just didn't work apparently. I ended up having to glue him, but I think I might have to stick a rod in him just for good measure. | 2009-05-26 21:15:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
LOL Awesome level guys! I laughed throughout the whole thing . You had me from the moment I grabbed the control and went into the TV, I thought that was genius. The "boss" was pretty cool and also, it was funny how prize bubbles were used as obstacles. I liked how you went to the same place after you were done with each part, reminded me of the From Siberia with Love series. I rated it 5 stars, hearted and, per request, tagged Hoists. Again, great job guys, this better make it to Cool Levels! | 2009-05-26 21:20:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
You guys should have given the crown away as a prize at the end of the level and just called it FREE CROWN! | 2009-05-26 22:06:00 Author: Unknown User |
Just once, I tried building a really, really bad level - just to see what would happen. My brain actually stopped responding after several minutes. The first bit of misshapen stairway and I had to go outside for fresh air. It hurt. KUDOS, in bolded caps, to y'all for this horrendous monstrosity of hilarity. At first I thought "Ew, this hub is ugly. After all that setup?" But I think I was mistaken on first impression with it - I thought it was the 'LBP Servers Hub' but it was really Evil Doctor Heartforhart's (lol at misspelling) machine. I think. Meh. I had fun! And I got angry at the levels it made fun of all over again - I think I've played most of them ;_; I know I played that 'even I don't no' level. UUUuuuuugggh. Why I do this to myself. 4/5 and tagged 'Hoists' | 2009-05-27 11:15:00 Author: Loius Posts: 342 |
YES! Someone else who played the 'even i don't no' level! ^_^ I have a confession to make. I LOVED building that horrendous section. My husband did too. We really like doing parody, and it just made us laugh, every minute of it! | 2009-05-27 12:26:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I went back and played this again to look at the changes, and I definately think the changes in the hub work well. One thing I wanted to mention (objective info as a friend... I'm not faulting the level for this but it may be useful. It's a good usability test): I watched a friend play this last night and think I see a possible root of the ending confusion which occurs with some players. When he was done killing the boss and was back in the entry with the house to the left... he automatically wanted to go left. I asked why. He said "well.. I killed the boss and I'm done. I should go back home now". When he couldn't go that way, he then went to the right and said "Wait... this is where I came from. I've already done everything here." Eventually he figured it out and found the one hallway he missed. It occurred to me that the final hallway you are supposed to walk down to leave is downplayed, and the player forgets that it's there. I'm wondering if a small change could occur visually that could make the player WANT to go down that particular hallway... even though it's blocked. So that after they kill the boss their reaction is to head back towards it. It may build up the drama if there was a heavy mist (gas) in the hallway and when you get near the entry it has ghost sounds or something. Then the mist disappears along with the door when you can go through it. Just throwing it out there. This is definately a 5 star level, I've had a lot of fun 3 times in it now. I think anyone who complains about thermo should take a lot at this thing. You all have packed a LOT in there. | 2009-05-27 13:30:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Ccubbage, we're not friends anymore, you meanie. No, of course you are right, that section is downplayed. I did add a mouth when you come up in the pod area, and that gives a bit more direction. I might have a little time to sit down and work on that area tonight though, so possibly I can come up with something. And yes, I've found that certain materials and objects are absolute thermometer killers. We tried to use most of the items that weren't. For instance, the reason we made our own skateboard is that the one that came with the game takes up like 4 bars of the thermo. I think that's a bit excessive, don't you? And if you wanna use caster wheels on anything, FORGET IT. Rocket Cheetahs, however, don't take up that much thermo at all, unless you have them infinitely spawning from an emitter, that is. btw, what's the status on this level? Are we on cool levels? We were on page 6 last night, but who knows. Could have been bumped off by bob's bomb extravaganzaaaaaa. | 2009-05-27 13:58:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
We're on cool levels page 4 Sara, 101h and 787p!!! Thats actually a good suggestion Ccubbage, if you want me to sort that out tonight I can Sara, we'll just use the same technique we did when we were building the level, I have a way to nicely build what cub suggested, thermo permitting | 2009-05-27 14:53:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

Thats actually a good suggestion Ccubbage, if you want me to sort that out tonight I can Sara, we'll just use the same technique we did when we were building the level, I have a way to nicely build what cub suggested, thermo permitting Holy moly, that doubled since last night. That's good news, isn't it!? Grant, if you want to, I can give you a locked version again and you can mess around with it. If we do that and then I publish over the original one, we won't lose the plays or hearts, will we? I've never done anything like that before. I'll be home at 5 (so that'd be 10 for you)... or is that too late? | 2009-05-27 15:01:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Yeah, once I send it back and you republish we'll keep the play's and hearts. 10 (my time) is spot on for me Sara, footballs on again, and it should be finished by then. Hopefully the changes will only take 45 mins or so then we can republish!!! | 2009-05-27 15:13:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
All right. I'll come on as soon as I get home and I'll get you a key, then. I probably have to eat with my father, but I'll leave the playstation on if you need to send me a message or something about it. Just make sure you test it b4 you send it back, cause things have been changing on their own, lol. I have no idea why! I'll do the same! ^_^ I don't think I'm going anywhere tonight, so I should be able to republish it no problem after I'm done eating. | 2009-05-27 15:19:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

Hah hah hah hah. I hear that was their first slogan, but the marketing department changed it at the last minute because they thought it might be a turn off for some players. | 2009-05-27 15:38:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Well, everything is under control as long as there's time for a quick bite with your father in between providing keys, regression testing, and republishing. "I'll probably HAVE to eat with my father" | 2009-05-27 15:41:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Hah hah hah. I didn't mean it that way. I should have said "my father's golf game is going to be cancelled because it is raining so I most likely will be dining with him tonight"... lol. If I were eating alone, I'd probably do the level stuff first, and then worry about food later. ... And... that's why my animation that I did is just a portrayal of my life. lol. | 2009-05-27 15:46:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

Hm. We published on monday, so... 5 days? possibly? It should unstick on sunday, right? or monday? I don't know. I've never been on cool levels under the new system. Well, I was for one day, but I won't start THAT rant again | 2009-05-27 16:16:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Whoa, it got on Cool Levels in 2 days?! This is going to be one of those levels with like 50,000 plays if it keeps at this pace. Levels come off the same day at the exact same time you published so it has until this Monday. | 2009-05-27 16:23:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
That would be really neat! Let's hope for the best, guys, okay! ^_^ | 2009-05-27 16:40:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Checked it out again last night and love it. It was sitting on page 2 of cool levels right next to RangerZero's latest level when I played it so congrats on that! Just wanted to mention that I really enjoyed how each of your level styles is present in the final level. Also I love the bedrooms that, I assume, show off some personal info/jokes about you guys. I figured the first is xkappax's with the lovely kitty and ghosts, the bottom right one is HardSync with his bed of nails and skeletons in the closet (love that) but I'm not sure if it's GrantosUK or Catiers upstairs? LOL it's really funny though. The only trouble I had was on the big cheetah with green wheels. I had to pop to get up as nothing dropped down to pull me up like it did the first time I played it. I think it's either intentional or a known issue as you've pulled the checkpoint up so when you pop it's not a level breaker. Also was curious... is that CCubbage's ET in the bubble the infinitely drops bubbles? So yea, I really liked it and gave it 5 stars and hearted it.... oh, I almost forgot - tagged it HOISTS! Thanks for sharing it guys! Awesome work! | 2009-05-27 18:06:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Sometimes, once in a blue moon, the rocket from the cheetah when it explodes gets stuck to the hoist at that point you're referring to, Morgana, and sometimes it breaks it. That check point goes up there just to ensure that if this happens, you can finish the level. My room is also Catiers' room (since we're married and all) ... It's funny, cause he plays as a girl (Nariko) So that would mean the room on the right is Grant's. ^_^ | 2009-05-27 18:15:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Ok, time to spend the last 10 minutes of computer class writing this.... In the end, I gave it 5 stars and a heart. I have to say though, the level is dreadfully underplayed :/ (And underhearted!) Pros + The storyline. I loved how it was so intricate and beliveable, and how you get involved as the player. I actually felt rushed sometimes, when approaching the final parts of the level. + The design. I love how you made those levels 'bad' intentionally. It definitely seemed believable. And the house and hub designs were brilliant. + The final boss. I've never seen a design like that and I must say it is quite fantastic. (Massive enemy cheetah! Hit his weak spot for massive damage!) + Pretty much everything. Cons -'Unamed Level' was probably the most challenging part of the level, as it was somewhat too non-linear. - I got confused after hitting the final switch. It says the upper right area of the cool levels section has been opened, but it's really the lower right corner. Either that or I'm going blind and/or insane -I didn't like the ending. Sorry but I like stories where the effort of the main character amounts to something. Honestly, it was kind of depressing But great level! I'd certainly like to see another collaboration involving you guys. | 2009-05-27 18:46:00 Author: Astrosimi Posts: 2046 |
So, we're on page 3 of cool levels. ... Apparently all you have to do to get on cool levels is make a level making fun of cool levels. Oh, and to get a crown, make an animation making fun of getting a crown ... This is unbelievable. ... :O Why do my joke levels always get more attention than my serious ones!!!!!!????? lol. anyway, a great big thanks to all of you guys for giving me feedback, for playing the level and for enjoying it! I love you all! ^_^ | 2009-05-27 22:23:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

I`m going to make a level making fun of me having 'relations' with Angelina Jolie. Lol, now that I'd play!!! For Angelina Jolie of course Thanks to everyone for playing the level, enjoying it and leaving us great comments, I'm pleased you all got the joke, unlike someone on the comments section that said he would spit at us H4H'ers, pah! The levels story obviously sailed completely over his head!!!! I've made changes to the end now, thanks for the idea Ccubbage! Ghosts now point you directly to the end!!! Thanks again, Grant | 2009-05-27 23:43:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
Cool! My sons in there playing it now... I'm gonna have to take over and try the changes! | 2009-05-28 00:04:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
I actually just published it with the changes right this instant... so it should be current now. I was testing it one more time cause I'm neurotic. And yes, someone in our comments told me to "die in a hole for being a filthy H4Her"... so... yeah. Way to go, buddy. You missed the point completely. | 2009-05-28 00:09:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

And yes, someone in our comments told me to "die in a hole for being a filthy H4Her"... so... yeah. Way to go, buddy. You missed the point completely. Come now - let's not be too hard on him. People of all kinds AND IQ levels are welcome to play LittleBigPlanet. I have a cat that removes socks from my sons drawers and drags them out into the living room at night. Do I blame the cat? NO. It's a CAT. I also used to have a prairie dog that would chew big holes in the carpet... | 2009-05-28 00:14:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
my cat doesn't tell me to die in a hole, though. Well. he did that once. | 2009-05-28 00:17:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
my cat doesn't tell me to die in a hole, though. Well. he did that once. And my prairie dog never dragged socks into the living room. It's an analogy. Besides, what do we learn? He's a clean fellow. I have a cat that removes socks from my sons drawers and drags them out into the living room at night. I got one of those cats too. xkappax - I sort of guessed it was GrantosUK but I didn't want to presume... what with the beverage bottles and snoring. Really funny though. | 2009-05-28 03:52:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
I have the high score right now. Great technique - when first entering cool levels there's a prize bubble that just keeps dropping. I jumped back and forth for a while until I had high score! | 2009-05-28 04:10:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Great level! Perfect stress relief for frustrated creators. I had a blast. I loved the pod, with the hanging planets. That's what I wanted way more of from this - in-game in game. game within game. the hub area's neat, but didn't have the in-game LBP feel that the pod had. I'm not a big fan of the Metal Gear VR backgrounds either (great for neon signs/lights though). I also was sort of hoping for an in-game take on "create" mode - using the tetherless jetpack. I mean, this is obviously something that needs to be adapted and interpreted to meet the demands of being a playable level, but it's a challenge I've always thought would be fun to see done right in this game. This seems like the perfect level for it - In the case of 7 Days, naturally what would happen is you would try to fix your level (perhaps a miniature-miniature version of the ACTUAL level??), when it all gets unglued and falls apart into tiny bits of ruin. Really good job - kudos to pulling off a collaboration before shared create mode. I've heard that it's quite the nightmare. It looks to be paying off though! When I checked it out it had well over 1000 plays and 4 stars. And, appropriately, plenty of "hoist" tags. | 2009-05-28 04:30:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
"Larry's gonna beat me, right?" "Probably" xD Anyway, I played this straight away when you published, and although I'd already seen most of it, I loved it! 5 stars, hearted and tagged 'hoists' | 2009-05-28 10:28:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |

Hey Guys, I played your collaborative effort yesterday and loved it. Great level you guys have put together there with a funny message. Seeing "hoists" as on of the most used tags made me chuckle The only minor con I had with the destination being unclear at times has been adressed already so no need to elaborate on it any further. Well, I think you already have a pretty good idea how people think about your level. Gave it 5 stars and naturally tagged it with "hoists" | 2009-05-28 12:45:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
Did you pm the angry point missing fellow to point him in the direction of the point? | 2009-05-28 13:00:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
Did you pm the angry point missing fellow to point him in the direction of the point? Probably not worth it.... just the random 5-year-old passing by and giving his feelings on H4H. If you bring yourself down to his level and try explaining it, it will only invite obnoxious behavior. | 2009-05-28 14:10:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
I think i said something to the effect of: "To the kind gent that told me to "die in a hole", i think you maybe missed the point? " and that was the end of it. I didn't go after him and pm him and tell him he was a dummyface or anything. ^_^ | 2009-05-28 14:14:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
"Hello, this is Sara (xkappax)... you left a message the other day on my level telling me to die in a hole.... I just wanted to PSN message you and tell you that you're a stupid dummyface poop head for not understanding my level. And one more thing - I have a crown, and you don't! Meh!" Oh, he said he spits on everything I stand for, too. And then typed out a spit noise. like "pblet" or something like that. I laughed when I read the message actually. The level was created with LBPC in mind, for everyone on the forum to enjoy it was the best possible result we could have hoped for. If the message is lost on cool levels people then it certainly proves a point! But I think we missed making a point of the "play my level" comments that are left on your level, definetly a missed opportunity there, maybe in 7 1/2 days Sara!! | 2009-05-28 15:54:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

it's weird being on cool levels. Especially considering it's been so long since I've been on there. And the last time it was under my husband's psn. To tell the truth, I find it absolutely hilarious that of all the levels to make it on there, that's the one. lol. I guess the two months of work that the 4 of us put into it were worth it though, eh? ^_^ | 2009-05-30 01:19:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I think the whole concept is brilliant, and totally hit's dead center what a lot of talented creators have been going through, AS WELL as what a lot of players have been going through: the good creators are fighting to have their tons of hours spent creating validated, the bad creators want attention regardless whether it's deserved or not, and the players WANT good levels to play but have a hard time finding them. Interestingly (and I'm SURE you've been doing this too) whenever someone left bad comments on your level (this level is crp) I would drill down, and they were the H4H people pushing the junk. I'm actually getting a LOT of joy out of seeing those creatores squirm. | 2009-05-30 02:28:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
I think MM purposely puts these kinds of levels in Cool levels, first wexfordian's "In the mind of a 'H4H'er", it was on page 1, and now this? MM, we get the point I played this yesterday, and the only level that I've actually burst out laughing, I loved the character design of Dr. Heartforhart (strangely, I love the look of him, and the rocket cheetah stickered with the kitty stickaz) and I knew you weren't able to resist the Rocket Cheetahs :U. I didn't really find anything game-breaking, although I accidentally brought the lightsaber to the switch which enables Cool Levels, and I died a few several times there (maybe, make it dissolve or something?) 5 star'd and hearted, tagged 'Brilliant!" (Couldn't find Hoists! After 3 minutes of tapping square, I had to give up ) | 2009-05-30 02:56:00 Author: AwesomePossum Posts: 446 |
Yeah, I do occasionally check out the levels of people who leave mean comments on my levels, and that's how I found krdlink, who was actually the inspiration for this level. He told me the fall of winter "needed work" and I checked out his levels to see what sort of inspiration his creations could offer me. Ccubbage, you're completely right, though. I'm getting all sorts of comments saying stuff like "whaaa? A good level on cool levels?!" ... and then I get the "this was a waste of time" comment or "H4H" comment, and then I get stuff like "YES! I totally agree with everything and would like to subscribe to your newsletter!" (well, maybe not in those words) I scrolled down a few comments and also found some sad stories about people who made levels... like legitimately made levels and got no plays. The one guy in particular... I think his psn was john1029 or something like that... he made a legitimate level that got like ten plays and four hearts or something like that, and that was it. And the sad thing: The level was NOT BAD! It had a boss, it had some really adorable characters, and it had a neat sticker switch thing. A lot of work went into his level! In other words, his level was NOT carp! It's just so darned sad! aaaanyway... possum, I forgive you for not tagging it hoists... Hoists is really hard to find sometimes, but I think "Gas" is harder to find! | 2009-05-30 05:05:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
what? your saying people dont know how to spell when they're ranting?!?!?!?! pretty much proves me point, they make carelessly "carp" levels, then carelessly send messages to cool levels... if THEY care THAT little, why do they play at all? :| btw, gratz on front page of cool levels | 2009-05-30 14:37:00 Author: johnrulz77 Posts: 835 |

I played this level again this morning (played it the other night when I was in no mood for being patient and died too easily, so I didn't retry... but anyway... replayed it today...), and I had a blast! As said repeatedly above, all three of the H4H sections were well done, and the hub was brilliant. The house was a riot, and entering the TV was solid genius! I almost ran out of lives on the final boos, but I made it! The graveyard was ironic and sad, yet funny and cool with the self-referencing tombstones (now THAT's a hard thing to pull off - LOL). Loved it! Hearted, 5 stars, and tagged HOISTS (as instructed). Congrats on the success and welcome back to the Cool Pages xkappax! BTW - When I played it, it was on Page 1 !! | 2009-05-31 01:16:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
It's taken me a half-hour or so, but I've finally read all the comments in this topic. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your kind words. | 2009-05-31 12:40:00 Author: Unknown User |
I first completed this a few days ago, and now I'm going to leave feedback. It was an AWESOME and HILARIOUS level. That and it also feels like multiple levels, which is also good! I'll go to the pros and cons: Pros: + The house at the start is cute and great + Going into the TV is GENIUS! + The hub part is very well designed + The beast of legend is a funny idea and so is "dr heart for hart" + The "Unamed Level" part is really funny, especially the monkey + The "h4h" level part had some nice stuff and a funny mid-boss + The prize "hazards" in the third part is absolute genius. I was trying my best to dodge them + That part where you see the rocket cheetah go past you in "your" level was hilarious + A simple yet nice boss. Cons: - None that I can really think of at the moment. Overall you lot have made a really great and funny level, and a nice tribute to all those great masterpieces that get buried deep down in Cool Levels. 5 stars and a heart to this! | 2009-05-31 17:04:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |
I loved this level. Very addicting and great fun to play. Keep them coming | 2009-05-31 17:08:00 Author: FatFaceJoe Posts: 19 |
We're on page 1 right now, and our 7 days are almost up. As Bart Simpson once said "aaah, the ironing is delicious" ... It is ironic though, isn't it? And what's more ironic is that now that it's on page 1, the H4H comments have started rolling in. ^_^ And I just got a comment from a guy telling me to stop making fun of "bad" levels. But I stress that this level makes fun of the system that is cool levels and not the levels on it. I applaud any level that has any sort of effort put into it, whether it's made out of sponge and dark matter or not. It's the H4H garbage that I really can't stand. >_< | 2009-05-31 17:40:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

You all pulled it off nicely! The entry in through the TV was a great touch. Even with the tongue and cheek "into the machine of LBP" and the poking fun at HFH etc.. it was really a fun platformer. The added humor was like tasty fun sauce while you played. The only minor thing was a bit confused after I finally returned to the pod completing the sections. I wasn't exactly sure if I was done and where to go, but still managed to quickly figure out I was being silly and completed the level. Oh and uhhh.. HFH please!?? ...just kidding!!! | 2009-05-31 18:02:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Only if H4H stands for Hamster 4 Hamster. Or like... Hoagie for Hoagie. Because I'm really hungry right now. ^_^ Thanks for the kind words, though, seriously! | 2009-05-31 18:07:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

Hi, xkappax, you probably don't remember me, but i'm thanking you for reccomending me to join lbp central! I agree with your level's message, and i'm not just whining about my problems here, but I really am an amazing vehicle creator, specifically tanks, and other war vehicles. I hope by getting involved here, I'll get the amount of plays I deserve for working so hard on my levels. | 2009-05-31 21:50:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |
Of course I remember you! ^_^ And I'm very glad you joined. You certainly came to the right place if you want to get a good amount of plays for your hard work! And thanks for the kind words about the level! | 2009-05-31 23:27:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Congratulations on getting to page one! I just played it, really fun! Funny and very original. Not much to say other than what has already been said. Great job! | 2009-05-31 23:35:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
Incredible level. I love the way this level makes fun of the heart system, and (indirectly) to the h4h levels. Congratulations on making your way to the 1st page! Here's a small review: Nice house there, I love the cat in the beginning. Oh, I'm going down this hallway and I see a drunk guy sleeping there. Haha, he just groaned! Oh, I see I have to get in the tv. That's cool! Oh, so I have to grab something in my pod there... Hey, the door opened! Cool! Wow, nice hub. Oooh, a legendary rocket cheetah! Everyone loves those! Oh no, it's Dr. H4H!! The source of all evil h4h levels! Haha, love that speaker on his face. I see all sorts of faces made out of dark matter... They're pretty well made. Oh, look, a level on the Levels page exploded. I see hearts everywhere!!! WHAT IS THIS INSANITY!!?? Oh, so I have to grab that sponge. Paininator. Yay!! What to do now... Oh, look at that, shooting the wall got it raised! ARGH! I died!! And I died AGAIN!! Ok, so I got past the walls. Cool. (blankness from my memory) Oh! Another level got blown up from the machine! (more blankness) OH NO!! What happened to the rocket cheetah!??!? Oh dear... Dr. Evil4Evil posessed it!! NO!! I have to kill it now... AAUWUWAARUWAAAUWR (generic Dr. H4H death scream) That's sad... seems like those levels got doomed to never be on the 1st page. I felt sad for the authors. Overall, this is a really, really nice level. Incredible, and the details on some parts is great, while the first level of Dr. H4H is just simply hilarious. I laughed several times. This is a recommendation for every sackboy player! :hero: | 2009-06-01 13:46:00 Author: Recurracy Posts: 166 |
And with that, our seven days are up! I want to thank all of you for playing, hearting, enjoying and "hoisting" our level! ^_^ Last I checked it had 18,000 some plays, and that to me is AWESOME! Thank you all! | 2009-06-02 03:11:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
18,000 is awesome! Congrats! My best to date (and that was with less than one full day on page 1) was just under 4,000. Good job Team 7 !! Oh, and BTW - you should edit it now and add 7 Days to the graveyard. | 2009-06-02 05:15:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Nicely done guys! btw - that's one of the first "stream of consciousness" style posts of a level review I've seen..... it's strangely intriguing. | 2009-06-02 05:17:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

pretty funny. the crudely made stairs were a good start, but those stupid sled dogs just slayed me. What makes it even better is the number of "play me levels" comments on it. Some people just won't learn | 2009-06-05 05:35:00 Author: ZipCity Posts: 208 |
What makes it even better is the number of "play me levels" comments on it. Some people just won't learn Well, that's also because most of those posters havent actually played the level. They just Spam every level that's on the cool pages. | 2009-06-05 10:12:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
Hilarious level! I loved every minute of it! | 2009-06-06 15:50:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
Well, that's also because most of those posters havent actually played the level. They just Spam every level that's on the cool pages. That Ozzy Ozwald dude needs to go away. Every level and every page. Mm really needs to give us a 'block user' option to stop the spam, which is the next LBP fad to get out of hand. On topic? Still a great level!! | 2009-06-07 22:12:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
Who's Ozzy Ozwald. I don't think I've had the pleasure of noticing him. Is he a spammer? | 2009-06-07 22:35:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Big time. Check out a few levels on cool pages. I rarely go on them, but looking through the comments of AAAlone`s 'Moving Parts', which had obviously spent a bit of time on there, I saw 'PLAY MY CAR GARAGE LEVEL' a million times. | 2009-06-07 22:39:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
So, did you play his CAR GARAGE LEVEL? | 2009-06-07 23:56:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Yeah it was brilliant. Had cars in it. | 2009-06-07 23:58:00 Author: Matt 82 Posts: 1096 |
Some dude on the LBP GameFaqs page is complaining that you guys used one of his objects in your "making fun of object giveaway levels". LOL | 2009-06-10 04:13:00 Author: ZipCity Posts: 208 |
Well someone doesn't know how to avoid prize bubbles. xD But that Ozzy character... :shakefist: 'play my 110m hurdlz lvl' over and over is not cool L V L IS NOT A WOOOOORRRRD I commented on all of his levels with something to the effect of 'Stop spamming my levels immediately' ... and it worked O..o 'Course, that was my last day on Cool Levels, so maybe it was just coincidence. | 2009-06-10 04:59:00 Author: Loius Posts: 342 |
Congrats on your well-deserved crown! I don't know if only xkappax got one, but I saw that he has one in the picture he uploaded in the level. Well done! | 2009-06-10 18:29:00 Author: Recurracy Posts: 166 |
Thanks, but we didn't get a crown for that level, unfortunately. I got it for the LittleBigKitsune animation that I did a few months ago (the link's in my sig if you haven't seen it) ... I wish they did give crowns for levels. The guys who worked on the level with me all ABSOLUTELY deserve crowns! oh, and ... xkappax is a she. Well, at least the last time I checked I was. | 2009-06-10 18:37:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
YouTube - 7days by xkappax(PSN) You have been SackCast-ed! Sorry for the small video and low-ish quality. Our resident filmer Moley had some trouble/miscommunication . The video was edited by Oli, and the music is by me (since it was filmed without the music for some reason ) Great level! Can't wait to see what you come up with next | 2009-06-10 19:36:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |
Thanks for the sackcast thing. Just one thing I want to make perfectly clear is that this level wasn't just made by me, it was made by 3 other creators, (GruntosUK, HardSync, and Catiers) so if you guys could give them credit for the level, too, that would be awesome. It was truly a group effort on all of our parts that took us 2 months to complete! Thanks again for the video! | 2009-06-11 02:24:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
