| Welcome to the Arabian Nights, challenge edition!. Based on my own original stage (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=11023) I posted here a few weeks ago. This time it's a challenge!. Yes! Play until you die or.. get bored ;P How to find it: PSN ID - Mik2121 Stage Name - Arabian Nights Challenge Location - Around Egypt Some of the stuff it features... Unique Challenge mode (or so I think!) Day to Night cycle! OK for even up to 4 players! Music from the Monster pack Themed photo-booth!! Simple design! I've always wanted to do an egyptian-esque level... Sadly, between my post-apocalyptic landscape work, and my latest creation I just haven't had the time to plan one out... I always wanted to name it Arabian Nights, from the Wario Land level. | Wow! That was awesome and addictive! Man, that was great! I will definitely be going back to it to get the highscore! I noticed all the speech bubbles at the start, lol, you know a lot of languages! The mechanics in this level are probably quite complex, as I never got the same pattern of platforms. As I stated before, this level is really fun, and really makes you want the highscore! Now, how the level changed over time was GREAT! I loved the detailed day night cycle, and when the cannons came in and the lights! That was GREAT! The detail that went into the level was great, but levels like these are always fun to make, because it's a very small area, allowing you to waste all the thermo making it! I did that in my survival challenge 'Bouncing Balls'. There weren't many things that could be fixed/changed but here are some: The icon! That had nothing to do with the level! You need a better, custom made icon! This didn't happen to me, but If someone isn't that good at the level, and is stuck on the left side of the map, then the photo booth pops up, they won't see whats too their right, and then they die! Also, maybe add some more platforms in the future (If you can!) that would make the level much better, and probably never the same! | Nice survival challenge! I'm not usually a huge fan of these but I like how you set this up. I loved the materials you choose, the swingy bits are fun and I liked the lighting and colors you picked. I'm just not terribly good at these so I only got to see a few minutes worth but I think the ramp up was nicely done. I can see the similarity between this level and your other arabian themed level and they look good together. I can see it's a pair. Consider giving a "key" on the regular level to unlock a version of the survival challenge. Might increase the plays on it. I gave it 4 stars! | Thanks Morgana! Too bad apparently people consider it 'BORING' and 'RUBBISH' (2 of the 3 words showing up on the main window) and it only has around 160 plays in the last few weeks.. | Completely amazing challenge level. I do really love the concept of it. This, aside with your Arabian nights level, does really impress me. I can't wait to see your arabian nights level finished, I'm really eager about it! And don't worry about the rubbish on the cool page, seriously. | err... i dunno. If sony keeps its promises to send it back within 15 days after recieve, then the max would be 20th june. Anyway!!!! Are you using a randomizer to emit different sections, or am i just totally misunderstanding the concept? | ...... the problem with this is (about the randomizer) that it's not always the same, therefore the scores won't be fair. Because maybe some parts are easier then others, and if you keep getting the easy ones then it won't be fair. Understand? | I know how the randomizer works, but thanks for the comments. There are also easy ways to prevent this and seeing how you have made an stage like this but more complex, you should already know it, and though I have not implemented them on my stage (didn't consider the difference between the more difficult and easy pieces to be that big), they could be implemented on a different stage easily | 2009-06-16 13:32:00 Author: Mik2121 Posts: 75 |

"Omg i've got an awesome idea" but until i was like building for 5 hours i didn't realize that randomizer causes the result of the game to be, like errr random O-o how many different parts do you have? | I don't remember correctly, but I think it had 8 pieces, one of them being a photo booth so it only shows up once, so I guess you could say 6 parts. I could have made more (not really a big deal) but I wanted to publish it to show it to a friend, and decided to leave it like that. | Just played your level which was very good to be a survival challenge. I first thought the platform should increase in speed over time, but that was until the cannons showed up. | I really liked the look of this level. Beautiful colours and materials. Liked the theme a lot.
