Any rules on emitters?
Can I search for the other bot(s) some way?
What kind of arena?

Whoops, forgot the emitters... Only bombs and unlimited emits, but only if reacting to a switch?

ALL entries are private, but you can make them public...

I mean while the bots are trying to blow each other up, can I use sensors to find the other bot (that has a key on it) or do I have to just mindlessly spam impacts everywhere?2009-05-23 05:43:00

well, you can choose both options.

Like, say, you could make a ramming scoop that wins by pushing opponents into walls and pits, or an axe like creation with a impact bomb that hammers opposing creations within range. You can do what ever you like, as long as it fits the rules.

Edit: Emitters are no longer used, by popular demand.

ATERNATIVE to emitter,

just make a box inside your bot with a door on the front, and a missile inside, when the door opens it triggers the missile to fly out and hit whatever is in front

I'd like to, but there must be a rule of keys on the robots... And a template to see the arena. And dude, why should pistons only be in the box? And what is the box' size? Pistons should be able to go outside the box, just not start outside it.2009-05-24 15:52:00

The box is in a level, one of two I made for this tourney.

Creations have two keys, usually on the frontal area of them.

I've posted the template for the arena in a match example, check it out. (PSN: Ninteen45)

Piston's don't start outside the box at all. Lemmie check the rules...

Well then, I'm in. But you should be able to build your systems outside the arena...2009-05-24 19:59:00

Outside? the "BOX" is a guideline, nothing to do with the arena...2009-05-25 17:07:00

The bot goes in the box. The logic goes wherever you want.

Correct. The logic gates aren't really counted as parts of the bot.2009-05-25 22:28:00

Aww, dude, there isn't even a grid on the box, I can't work without a grid!2009-05-26 15:13:00

Add one. Just don't edit the size of the box.2009-05-26 16:38:00

Dude, it doesn't work that way, the box needs to be inside a grid, otherwise it's hard to fit your robot perfectly inside. I'm not participating in a contest without a gridded template. -.-2009-05-26 17:29:00

um, the level isn't copylocked, you can make it IN the box... And there is a thing called scaling...2009-05-27 18:09:00
