| The main reason I was coming around, looking for active LBP forums is because I need people to help and contribute to a movie I'm directing, "The Idiots of LittleBIGPlanet". It's based off of the "Idiots of GMod" series, where the actors run around and do idiotic things using the GMod engine. So, the idea is just forming in my head, and I'm gonna need quite a few people to help out. I have another friend with a CaptureCard, so getting the footage down will be taken care of, unless someone else here has one as well, that would be even better. Anyways, if you have any good ideas for the script, post them in here. Anyone can submit ideas. I'm open to pretty much anything. Although, if you want to be an actor, you must meet the following requirements: -You must have a PS3 and LBP by January '09. -Must have a good speaking voice, and not be mic-shy. -You must have a mic for the PS3. -MUST HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR  -Finally, you must be fairly decent at LBP, like creating things and such. | I would love to help out, i've got all the requirements and i've got a pretty good headset. (Should be getting the playstation 3 mic when it comes out so hopefully better quality.) Also for ideas how about "How to tell if your a noob on littlebigplanet?" People alreadys have how to tell if your a noob on cod4 and mgs4 etc so i think this would be good. You could have stuff like a person slapping you all the time. Or not co-operating. Meh i'll try and think of better ones. Edit: sorry is this a bump? | I'd like to provide the example of another game: Burnout Paradise. If you are familiar with it, skip the rest of the paragraph. Multiplayer in this game has two distinct facets: Races, and Freeburn. I'll focus on the latter. Freeburn means that each of the max. eight players has free roam of the city, to do whatever they want. However, one big draw are various challenges, which the host can initiate and all the players need to work together to complete them. There are also a number of freeburn games, also initiated by the host, and the host can very quickly start a full-blown race, after which brings the players back to freeburn. In addition to this, the standard-state allows players to compete to get the fastest times racing down roads in the game, or try to get server records for certain things like barrel rolls and drift, or simply cruise around the city with other people and explore, or try to run into other players and crash them. Now, when I'm playing Burnout Paradise, I will frequently open my own freeburn server, and people will join, and I'll do lots of challenges. So my main purpose in it is to get all the challenges done. However, there are always players who...can't get along. Either they're just idiots and run around the city like they don't care, or more often they're idiots who go to wherever the most people are and start crashing into them, disrupting as they can. Since this is not what I had in mind for the server in the first place, what do I do? I go into the player menu, select their name, and kick 'em. So then I've freed up a slot where another player, who will be sociable, can join in, and things will continue as normal. There are also occasionally noobs who really don't know what they're doing, and in that case I'll help nudge them on the right path. So you can apply the same to LBP. From what I've read, while you're online the first person becomes a host, and the others that join are tethered to the host, so if the host exits a level or goes to another one, the others are teleported to the same place. From that, I'm assuming the host will have certain powers to rule over the other players. Don't want that idiot who's messing things up in your group? Kick! This will be very important in LBP, since so much of the game is about co-op and coordinated events. For the person who's not playing along, tough, they've had their chance.
