Medium Pack Suggestions?

Archive: 42 posts

Mine would be a Ratchet and Clack pack. (Make it happen...)
If it was not game-related, I'd like them to release things that didn't make the cut for the full game. (Seaside background, creator zones and such)

What would you suggest for a medium pack to Mm? Remember, just loads of content and a level to show it all off in.
(I think this is a really good idea, btw )

I'd rather have a large pack of LBP DLC, than a medium pack.
but if it has to, I would lIKE to see samurai/ninja based pack.

I agree with oldage. With all the things in this medium pack, I want to see what exactly a large pack is. It must come with many more materials, songs, backgrounds, etc. and that would be really cool!2009-05-19 18:22:00

Well the MGS pack was a large pack.

It was considered a large pack? Then yes, we should definitely get more of those!2009-05-19 18:27:00

I would really love another large pack too, but it would be easier for Mm to churn out a medium pack, so they will become more frequent.

I would like a circus one too!

Yeah LARGE pack please MM.

Although the Monsters medium pack does look pretty good I'll reserve judgement until I've actually seen what's in it first hand and just hope the stickers are a darn site better than the Egyptian and Norse ones were. I'm more interested in the other stuff really though.Things like music, background, sounds, objects and decorations.

I would really like some string or rope decoration that can be hung loosely and set to any length.

As for another pack whether it's medium or large I'd like to see a Wild West themed pack with real guns to kill enemies with to make a change from the paintinator all the time.

The Wild West sounds like a good idea.

The stickers coming out of the "small packs" are pretty... useless.
The Killzone ones were very useful for my current level, and the rag doll kung fu ones i used for my japanese level, but the rest haven't really any use apart from the pod.

i think so too, they wouldn't put killing people as an element of gameplay in a 7+ game aimed at families...

How about a space themed pack with a cool stars/planets background, some weird new metal and rock materials and alien/robot costumes

i was going to say a medieval pack too, but i've heard there's the "history pack" being released in future

Space...the final frontier...

Watched it yesterday...first Star Trek movie/tv show I've watched...pretty good!

But a space theme would be great, already have the astronaut! We need a background for him, and some gear, like an official rocket!

Who said anything about killing people. I'm talking about killing enemies in exactly the same way you do with the paintinator but with a weapon that fits the theme of the level because unless it's an mgs level the paintinator is just out of place and ruins the whole feel of the level theme.

For instance what if you made a level with the new monster pack. You want to kill dracula with a wooden stake or wolfman with a silver bullet. How stupid would it look to simply pull out the paintinator again.

Yeah the paintinator was great for the first few weeks but I'm sick of the sight of it now. I want weapons that are more fitting for the level.

variations of the paintinator wouldn't be too bad, like maybe one without a tank thing at the top or one that looks a bit narrower - only small changes

i really can't see any other guns making it into LBP, they just wouldn't fit

I agree, the paintinator is most likely the only weapon like it that we'll be seeing, the (most likely foam) sword idea i came up with a while ago and i still think it would be great for the eventual FF pack. I want to see more power ups such as, jump boots, gravity boots (a la ratchet and clank), These both would go well with a futuristic theme.2009-05-20 03:49:00

Something based off this background that was removed from the game.

Backrounds:
A Ocean backround
A Space backround
A Underground backround

Hazards/Non-hazardy good things:
Wind
Water

If a large pack could carry that and maybe one new char enhancement i would buy that for 8-10 bucks! (of course levels including them....

First of all, that background looks pretty useful!
And seconly.... Did you see how much that slap sen that other one flying?!
I wish were able to send others flying like that... >_>
lol, imagine...
Player a: I can't reach that part of the level, its too far
Player b: *WHAM!*
Player a: Thanks!

This post gave me an idea 4 a mini-(or normal)enhancement!
The Power Glove!
It would make slapping 15X easier and make the character go a whole lot more then the average slap!
also you would be able to push much heavier objects.....
You could tweak its power w/ the tweak option

lol your wish came true then, seems there is a R&C pack coming.

Space/Future pack would be nice for sure.
Prehistoric pack
Greek Mythology pack (or does god of war count?....barely)

Artist pack? More colors and patterns. Artsy looking stickers good for detailing. Hand drawn looking stickers. Maybe some LBP renditions of classic paintings and styles.

The idea of 'wind' sounds goooood.

I don't like Game themed packs so much. It means they can't burst out using all the cool things they can think of.

I think a superhero pack would be fun. Seeing copyright avoiding things are very funny but still cool

Any pack that comes with new decorations I'll be happy with!

I would have put B-movie/sci-fi but the monsters pack covers alot of that, so looking forward to some really good 1950's inspired "Creature From the Black Lagoon'-esque levels.

Some naturalistic scenic stuff would be good, so maybe a National Geographic Pack. Some more natural looking materials (we're pretty covered for stone & wood!) and some fur materials to help out where creature creation is concerned. A few more scenic decorations and stickers would be great, such as moss, mould, a few more foliages.

A fantasy pack, with Wizards and Dragon inspired stuff. Thinking about it I wonder if we'll ever get Special FX....? A single puff of smoke, a glitter light you can attach to draw attention to something or lightening/spell type effects. They could have plenty of uses too.

A huge sound pack with lots of sound effects and musics. (since it doesn't add any gameplay I guess it should be medium)2009-05-22 23:13:00

Space, Pirate, and Ninja packs are the ones I like. We could have possibly have a/some new background(s) like another, desolate planet, or a ship harbor or body of water (since we're a small toy of some sort, a lake?). We could get Rock and Alien like materials, some new lights, undoubtably some new costumes. Hopfully we'll get some gelatin material from the Ghostbusters pack!2009-07-10 00:19:00

Ya MM had the idea of water and were thinking of putting it in the game but ultimately decided not to. I don't know if more time to work on it means it may happen but I just don't think its likely. Guns ie: wild west could be a possibility but they would have to be dart or something along those lines, hopefully with a straighter shot and the ability to teak damage or fire rate. Ratchet and clank sounds nice and some more backgrounds would be good overall.2009-07-10 23:37:00
