Hello LBCentral!

Quick introduction to all on LBCentral!
I'm a professional comic book creator living in the UK and I've been addicted to LBP from the start! My intention is to render my ongoing series, 'Monkey Nuts', in episodic stages, retelling, expanding and adding to the stories I've created with original artwork from my brother and TONS of imaginative puzzles!
My psn is mrbobbyboy so you guys feel free to go ahead and add me - always up for some quality co-op!

I'm in Bristol, down in the sleepy West Country - it's so **** chilled here I love it! Yeah, there's a wealth of amazing ideas on this site. The LBP community is growing and growing!

Welcome to the forums mate,
Just thought when you said you were a comic book writer that people will probably just make levels that look like a comic book and you walk through the boxes to tell the story. That would be quite cool.
Just asking if you don't mind if i add you to our TIME ZONES thread, where i'm collecting everyone's time zones and PSN so it'll be easier to see who you are more likely to hook up with in the game https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=1089&highlight=time+zone

Hey Dorien,
Thanks so much for the add on that thread - yeah, that was something I was wondering about. I work from home so I'll probably doing my level design on my lunchbreak and my level playing at night ... guess that means I'll be good to hook up with most players at some point!

Comics are rare in England... Is it an actual comic or an internet one, like that ninja doctor guy

Yeah, I write for two titles.
'The DFC' (www.thedfc.co.uk) - two stories, 'Monkey Nuts' and 'The Strange, Strange World of Weird!' - weekly subscription only.
'Transformers Animated' - launching in the UK in October, available from all good newsagents!
You're right though, comics in the UK are raaaaaaaaaaaaaare!

Having a look at that website now, but I actualy live in a newsagents..

I think i'm right in saying its his brother that does the illustrations, and they are proffessionals, and he has mentioned to me before that his brother never has time for anything (Which is understandable)... Basicaly he has got a job to do, but I can't answer for him (Which I already seem to have done )		2008-09-01 12:02:00

Well it all depends on the job - rates differ from title to title. I don't really want to talk about the money (I'm quite ENGLISH in that manner!) but needless to say, as a writer, I need to be producing strips for about 3-4 different titles in order to be able to make an okay wage. Nothing great, but I can live off it, and that's good enough for me!!!
The money will always come second to me, it's not why my brother and I create. We'd been doing this for five years (producing a 24 page black and white bi-monthly indy title) before we landed our first pro job. It takes a lot of time to get into the industry, even at the lowest level, which is why you have to love what you do more than a big paypacket!		2008-09-01 15:22:00
