The first in a new kind of content pack! That means the next several months will have packs like these! Holy cow!

Also, it says that this is a 'Medium' pack! That must mean that there's a LARGE pack! OMG!

It's just like the MGS kit isn't it? One create oriented pack and one for costumes. I actually prefer them split this way. I don't have the MGS costumes but I love the stuff in the kit for MGS.2009-05-18 19:52:00

The MGS pack was also full fledged levels + a hugfely impacting power up for Sackboy. It doesn't really compare. The Monster kit in interesting regardless. I just think that the Monster kit should have included everything.

Meh... I liked the video, but I think the costumes coulda turned out waay better... Frankly.. Sackula shoulda been cooler looking, doesn't live up to his name ^^

Those new materials/stickers/tools are awesome though. I mean, 96 stickers! That IS a lotta stickers for just the monster pack. The fish scale and reptile skin materials sound great, I bet they have some cool shine graphics on 'em.

MM says "It also includes a gallery level showing off the contents of the kit." So there's some sort of level in there - don't know if it's the one in the trailer or not. I'd like to think it is.

Yeah here`s hoping it`s the level they just showed rather than just a room with the stuff in it.

Either way that`s awesome. A definite purchase for me. As soon as I saw the speaker in there I nearly flipped.

I'm considering having a contest based on this pack after enough time has passed (to give you guys time to get your hands on it and to actually learn how to use the new stuff), but I don't want to do it if most of you won't be picking this up. So:

Let me know in a reply to this thread if you are certain you'll buy this pack soon after its release.

Thanks!

I will definitely be buying this one.

Also - I paused the video and it looks as though the "gallery level" is where you pickup the stickers and decorations so I'm pretty sure it's the level that they mentioned in the description of the pack. Can't wait... three more days!

Now that I think about it, we can do a contest centered around a horror theme without actually requiring the new pack, while still allowing it if you have purchased it. I'm not sure on the details yet (it's still just a thought in my head) but I'd love to do something for this content. I'll plan over the next week or so and get something out for you guys to have fun with. 2009-05-19 06:28:00

Don't you have prepaid VISA cards or other brand of prepaid credit cards in your country?

I know that in Canada you can use a Sears Prepaid credit card. It's sold pretty much anywhere you can buy cards and phone cards. (gaz stations, drug marts, sears itself, etc)

Yeah I'll be getting this one for sure as it includes more useful stuff like music, sounds, objects, and that background

I'm just worried as Matt says that as soon as i get it the 'your profile cannot be saved' message will come up again straight away.

You'd think MM would get that sorted first before chucking nearly 100 new stickers at us

MM stuff doesn't have an effect on that, so you can download as many stickers as you want.

Or so I've read somewhere, some time ago.

But man this looks so cool I want it so much! I hope that trailer music is the track we get.

Yikes... good luck on the move! I seriously hate moving...

I'm sure in the meantime, everyone here will do there best to not use up all the spooky goodness of the new DLC before you have a chance to check it out.

Guys, the stores ALWAYS update at the same time. I wonder why there are questions every day.

- Japan updates first.

- Europe should be in an hour or two from now.

- US is around 5pm Eastern Times NY (this means in 7 hours from now)

Sometimes they are late with the US store and it updates around 8pm. This doesn't change that its update time is 5pm. Also, they are late maybe once in a couple of months...

I`ll let you know when it`s up (or someone equally as sad as me will).

I`m actually sitting here checking the store every 30 seconds wondering, as a 27 year old man, what the hell I`m doing getting so excited about a bunch of stickers and a new music track for a video game.

Maybe should post that in the 'Addicted to LBP' thread.

Bought it, along with the werewolf and zombie costume.

The level itself is a ghost train ride where you get about 100 stickers and decs along with an interactive music, Audio object and a background(which adds a slight echo)

Very good overall. Fun.

Tooooo maaaany stickers.

The one level is called ghost train. You ride it through collecting prizes and there are sticker challenges where you have to "eyeball the monsters". There are cool effects and prizes. 100+ prizes. Aceable and 100%able.

It's keeeeeeeeeeeeeewl. I love the look of the level and the music reminds me of some sort of russian waltz...best description I can give. You can now use the rusty nail decorations to put a nail through sackboys head. There's two decorations. One is the top of the nail and the other is the spiky end. Create frankensack if you like.2009-05-21 18:00:00

Not that fussed with the new materials and objects, though they'll probably find potential uses somewhere along the way. The stickers and decorations are pretty much all excellent, very handy for creating characters, there's eyes a plenty. : ) The new background is also great, especially at ground level, its very atmospheric. I'd forgotten how much a background can completely change the vibe of a level, hopefully theres plenty more on the way!

edit- forgot about the sound fx, there's some good stuff. : )

All in all a great pack.

There's some pretty cool sounds in this pack, too, like a buzzing chainsaw, and some great knocking/footstep sounds. They could be useful, even for non-monster themed levels.

Also, the music is interactive

Got it about an hour ago. Pretty good stuff this time and a fun ghost train level to get them in.

The new reptile skin material has come in handy already. I have a snake in the new Arabian level I'm working on so have just changed that material which looks much better and applied the forked tongue decoration.

I'm sure there's a lot more useful stuff in there too.

Nice one MM.

It's out. On LBP go to LittleBigStore.

Ticked off right now, I've been waiting all week for it, now it turns out I can't add exact funds to my wallet to get it, and my card has less than $5 on it.

Is the chainsaw sound effect messed up? When I slow down the effect it actual sounds like it speeds up like the fast side. Maybe I'm crazy though...2009-05-22 00:52:00

Several of the older sound fx do this (cars and trucks if I remember). I wouldn't be surprised but I haven't finished downloading the pack yet.

The level was actually kind of fun. The sticker part was a little challenging at first. Can't wait to try to throw some of this stuff into my first level 2009-05-22 02:03:00

Wow, this pack is extremely awesome! All the sounds, stickers, decorations, the background, music, costumes and whatever else I'm missing is just nuts! My favorite decoration are the bat wings since I missed the V-day pack ( .) I would love to see the levels/costumes people make with this pack. For right now, my costume is a reset Sackboy with 4 extra Sackboy arms coming out of his back .2009-05-22 04:01:00

Believe it or not, this is the first DLC pack I bought! And it was definitely worth it. For four bucks everyone should pick this up even if they don't get the costumes!

I love the sackboy arms! As soon as I got it I stuck it out of the ground like a left 4 dead kinda thing . Now I have two arms sticking out of the ground in my pod as if a giant sackboy was buried there. It's really awesome

I also really like the new sound effects, and of course the interactive track! Epic
Background is really nice too.

GO MM!!! ;D

LOL - I used the arms in my pod too - I have them set up from either side to look like they are holding the controller.

Well they do give their updates cheese names, maybe it has to do with the cheesy music?

lol, but seriously (kinda...) how can you not like cheesy music for this game? fits perfectly!

I have to agree. Cheesy music fits so well with this game. I actually like the cheesy song that came with the Monster Kit. It also came with a cool sticker on the radio .

Merged threads, we don't need multiple threads for the same topic, if you see the topic already exists please make your post in that one rather than creating a new thread, it stops it getting cluttered up and fracturing the conversation amongst multiple threads.

Thank You

That's the cool thing about the interactive tracks, you can make it sound different. Just take away the "cheesy" part

My favorite part of all is that the background IS A CRYSTAL CAVE!!!!!!!!! Who saw that coming! My even MORE favorite part is that the "heart of the crystal cave" in my level coincidentally lies right where the crystals are in the background!!!!!! I don't think I can pass this opportunity by!2009-05-22 12:30:00

there is water in the foreground...nothing is there on the other backgrounds...the water looks dull tho.
