Realistic Texture Stickers

Archive: 13 posts

I don't know about you guys, but I'll NEVER use about 80% of the supplied stickers.

My favorites by far are the realistic ones. Cracks, smudges, etc. These are far more versatile than the rest of them. Give us practical stickers, like more colors.

Also, a sticker creating tool would be fantastic. Let us SHAPE our own custom stickers. Just like the shaping tool for materials in create mode. It'd be easy for them to throw in, so why not?

I think the shaping mode is supposed to come in soonish... And true, i probably will never use a lot of the stickers, but occationally they're useful.2009-05-17 07:37:00

I agree with you. I love the cracks and bullet hole type stickers... very useful for adding a little variety to repetative material patterns.2009-05-19 06:22:00

Definitely. I'd like to see things like grunge textures, full colour palette (infact this could just be one tweakable sticker?), much more in the line of different shadings highlights etc.2009-05-19 10:39:00

True but as there not MM stickers they have to be loaded separately, adding to your thermo more than if they were MM ones.

You are probably aware of these... but Lite_Sleeper has a nice color mixing level to create custom colors. Madcows has a nice level with quite a few color stickers as well.

I have had a bit of success in creating a few of my own texture stickers either by taking pics of the game background or similar how some have done costume or text stickers. ..however, I too wish you could trim off or just choose a color in the sticker to make invisible. Sometimes it's hard to blend the texture or color to the surrounding area, especially if applying it to a lighter material or color.

I hardly use those levels if i can help it. Its somewhat of a pain to try and find the exact color that you want fron someone else =/2009-05-19 17:43:00

I'm the same way. I use the realistic stickers more than anyother group really, well maybe with the exception of the colors. I'd love some more cracks and smudges. I'm excited to see what we get in the Monster pack.2009-05-19 18:07:00
