For the love of God WHY!? Just censor the word or make players be able to good grief it! And how the hell do H4H get on cool pages? It's beyond my understanding...

the H4H'ers would just find another set of words to do the same thing. Also - MM wants people to play their game. I don't think they're too worried about the H4H culture because it keeps some players playing the game. I don't see them regulating/censoring anything like H4H anytime soon.

If they censorsed H4H then we could never play "Inside the Mind of a *****" But Morgana is right, H4H is just another set of levels. Delete comments like that on your levels and steer clear of the levels is all I can say

Because it wouldn't make any difference. Like Morgana said, they'd always find a way around it. And if they made it blatently obvious like "hearting somebody's level just to receive a heart on yours in return is banned" it would just make more people aware of it that hadn't considered it before..

Yes... but they could have a secret algorithm that automatically stymied those levels progress on cool pages.... So, in other words, if "H4H" appears in the title it only sets on cool pages about 1/3 of the time as other levels after republishing. Or only half the plays and hearts were counted.... or it always lowered their heart rating by 1. The key is to make it secretly happen so they don't change their behavior. And I definately don't think the argument is we would not have been able to play "The mind of a h4h'r" (last time I checked I had the high score on this level, by the way) - I'm sure if the H4H problem didn't exist Wex would have designed a different super amazing level.

Guys, do not fall into the ugly thing called over-ruling. Mm did not ask for H4H ... the community did and quite a lot. So why should Mm go against it if a mayority (and yes, it is a mayority) wants it? You can't FORCE anyone to have a specific taste or sense for quality, those things evolve or they don't. Like a government Mm is not allowed to force those things uppon "their people" they have to get it for themselfs. How would you like it, if someone told you, the level you made is found "stupid" by "the government" and therefor valued differently then others? Is that fair? No it's not. As long as enough player condone H4H, there will be H4h. It is their right to choose and it is our right to find it stupid but that is where it ends.

If Mm banned h4h, the game just wouldn't be the same anymore. Sure, h4her's begging for hearts is and always will be annoying, but if Mm banned h4h, a LOT of the LBP community would probably leave. They're playing it for the trophy, and they've found a way to easily get that trophy. If h4h suddenly were banned they would have to make GOOD levels to get hearts, and they simply can't do that. And I think LBP would be much emptier if most of the community left. Plus, many would probably just make their way around the system.

Well, if I was going to get all technical, H4H is't breaking any of LBP's rules. It might be annoying but: 1. The phrase 'H4H' doesn't offend anyone, and 2. The only thing MM said about hearting was if you liked a level, then you can heart it; there weren't really any don'ts. But anyway, in the begining of LBP (lol, it's not that old but whatever), the comments were constructive towards finding all the items, that wasn't bad at all (I wanted to get all the items for create mode, it seemed like a good goal to aim for). Once the major trophy hunters got that trophy, they moved on to the create trophy and share trophy (H4H was born:kz. I remember there were a few H4H haters at first but that stopped after a while and more and more people started H4Hing. Now I'm not saying that trophy hunting is bad, but this is the kind of trophy hunting that spoils the point in a game, a fun challenge.

There's no point, Media Molecule relies on H4H so that people can play the game. Without it, most of the LBP community would crumble, which may be great for us (for a while) but incredibly bad for MM.

As long as enough player condone H4H, there will be H4h. It is their right to choose and it is our right to find it stupid but that is where it ends. Absolutely true. The truth is, the game belongs to more than just mature people. It's a game for everyone. I've never really advocated banning it, just finding ways to steer the right people to the right game.... HOWEVER, that being said.... MM should do something about these players going beyond peaceful coexistance, such as attempting to sabotage others ratings by maliceous low-rating of levels in order to promote their H4H levels, or posting 10 H4H levels in huge blocks and gumming up the cool pages, which prevents decent levels from being seen. I've seen this in action... this would be easily fixed by not allowing a player to rate a level unless they've played it, and automatically detecting these kinds of abusive block-posting. So, in other words, willfull abuse of their rights - you have the right to like levels you want, and play levels you want.... but you don't have the right to ruin other people's fun. (and I am not advocating players do anything about it... I think MM would need to add anti-abuse features)

Great for us until revenue drops off on DLC purchases and therefore development and expansion becomes financially unviable... then the buggy game never gets any bug fixes and everyone gets fed up and leaves. Agreed with CCubbage that subtle biassing against H4H levels in the cool pages could be achieved, without preventing people trophy hunting.

I have no problem with them other than that they take up a few available spaces which are sorely needed by anyone trying to get their littlebigmasterpiece up on the Cools. If i was in MM, I'd do a quick fix and bung up a separate 'Trophy Challenge' (or whatever) planet where anyone who wants hearts can just go and put up a level there along with other players looking for exactly the same thing. It'd make a mockery of the trophies, but i think the community side of things would benefit which is a trade-off I'm happy with. I don't think banning anyone from putting up a level is a good thing, regardless of its content.
