Okay, is it just me, or are fanboy levels becoming really, incredibly annoying? I see endless waves of them, and I cannot believe they are getting to the Cool Pages. I own an Xbox360 as well as a PS3, and I have no problem with either of them. I choose to play the PS3 more due to personal preference, but I don't release levels entitled "10 reasons why the xbox suxx" or "destroy xbox!!". And the comments that people make, like "XBOX gets RROD 99.9% of the time!!" and "PS3 pwns all" just makes me see how much fanboyism is a disease in the LBP community, almost like H4H. Um, no. X-Box is a fine console. Weather or not its better then the Playstation is a just a matter of preference. Don't buy into this stupid console war, it was silly back in the SNES vs Sega Days and its silly now.

I had a Sega 32x. Night Trap was THE BEST GAME EVER . The intellivoice DID come out, and I had it. Didn't improve B17 Bomber. I had the 3DO... Spent a LOT of money on it. I wish there had been more than a couple decent games (although Twisted was a lott of fun... good, cheesy fun) I HAVE an XBox360 and love it. Although I do still like blowing it up in LBP, so theren lies the popularity problem.... they just blow up real good. Hitting the button is fun. One of the first levels I ever played in LBP blew up an XBox360.

I find Mac and PC fanboys much worse than xbox and playstation fanboys. I happen to be a macintosh person, and believe me... I hate to tell people that I am. I immediately get told "What are you stupid? PC's are so much better and you are a horrible person for owning a macintosh and you should feel bad about yourself and probably kill yourself" So yeah, in short... I don't much care for any level that pits one consumer product against another. Although, my coke vs. pepsi level is going to be uber when it's done.

hey xkappax, there are some PS3 VS XBOX levels where they give away the Xbox360's as a prize. I suggest you get one, go to create mode, place a rocket cheetah, stick a bomb to it and drive against the xbox a level like that would be priceless. but heck, there should be some kind of filter in LBP, like a text filter. like I write "H4H" in it, no H4H levels show up anymore (if it has H4H in the title)

I dunno. Both systems have their merits. I've never been a fangirl of anything. I have both an xbox360 and a PS3. Whoever said that it boils down to immaturity was absolutely dead on. Reminds me of the old Atari VS Commodore days. Pretty harmless fun, I'd say. From a reality perspective, I own both systems and they both have completely different strengths, so I have NO idea how anyone can say hey don't like one or the other. XBOX 360 - I use it for the amazing games that come out on XBOX 360 only (such as Halo 3 and Mass Effect), the great XBOX Live titles, and for Netflix Instant streaming. PS3 - I use it for the amazing games that come out on PS3 only (such as LittleBigPlanet, Drakes Fortune, and Ratchet & Clank), playing BluRay, for the great playstation store titles, and PSP downloads and movie rentals. Of course, the reality is that since the release of LittleBigPlanet last year, I (no kidding now) have not played another game. So at least where games are concerned, Sony has me hooked - however, they aren't really making any money from me at this point because I don't buy other games. And every stinkin' time I think I'm totally sick of LittleBigPlanet a whole new wave of great levels come out, and I suddenly get a new idea that starts festering in my brain.

How exactly does the gamership gain if great games are only available to a fracture due to company policy. I cant imagine how Mm would strive with the money they could make from millions more players. There is really no reason for exclusive titles except "better less sales then more money for everyone". It is not all about the games but the money first. Look at EA, pumping out games in row year after year until it's dead, buying the next company, keeping the brand licence, fireing all employees and start over again. Or Microsoft ... best example would be freaking Halo. The marketed it for PC for MONTHS until they shortly before release said "Uh, oh ... now it is XBox exclusive." Yeah, man I felt so warm inside from all the improvements the console war brought me. Fanboyism sucks as bad as console war. Competition does breed innovation and it allows developers to focus their attention on niches instead of mass markets. It's also a fun way to see how developers inspire each other, how each one of their creations are progressively better and better after learning new things from their "opponents" or pushing themselves to get the very most out of their chosen tools. Gaming, much like the arts, is founded in creativity, so the more variations, perspectives and approaches to it, the more ideas are born, and the better the final product at the end of the day. We can only benefit from this type of competition. But back to the topic of the thread, yeah! I hate fanboy levels! Although i am guilty of playing them just for laughs

I personally think fanboyism is good for the industry, just as fans in sports are good. Some have made death threats, which I found hilarious. There's a reviewer at Gamespot.com who has apparently received death threats from loads of fanboys over a poor review for a PS3/Xbox title (I think it was either Too Human or Haze...), and as far as I know he's not the only one. I had three of them myself coming over to me after I said that Halo 3 was overrated.
