I was just over in the beta application thread, and I can't help but notice that a good amount of them just came over from LittleBigWorkshop for the first time, only because they want in on our beta positions. What do you guys think? Good? Bad? Personally, I think our openings should remain our openings, and should go to people who didn't just come to lbpc for a chance to be picked for beta. But that's just me. Feedback? Rants? Comments?

Hmmm.... I'm personally of the opinion that beta is more of a job than a fun thing. As long as whoever takes on the responsibility takes it seriously and are on a bug and fact finding hunt to give good feedback. As long as whoever is picked is qualified and serious, it means when the feature is released everyone else will have a better time.

I'm not saying they wouldn't, but what I am saying is that the people who are suddenly coming here and posting in the application forum are not going to come back here after. Several of them joined *today* and haven't posted anything other than their application. We're supposed to be a community, not a job fair.

I agree with Lols, I think if it's an event for the LBPC community, it should be for the peopl who have been involved in this forum, not suddenly decide to throw their app in. Sure they may be qualified, but so are our active members. I think if its a portion of beta selecting for LBPC only...then it should be exclusive to our current members, and not those just joining to get their foot in the door.

I don't really mind all the sign-and-go applicants, as long as they do a good job testing, so we can ensure that online create mode is the best it can possibly be. I don't think we should be greedy in saying that only long term members should get it, but let me say this, these sign-n-go applicants will most likely have a far lesser chance of getting a beta key.

I think you will find that CC will make sure that people who were members before the announcement will take precedence over anyone joining today just to grab a beta invite, he's not that silly. With that I will close this thread as it is just going to turn into a bash new members thread and DJLols you have posted the same question in the thread in the news section so there is no need for a seprate thread. Closed.
