Resizing the unresizable

Archive: 17 posts

Hmm, is unresizable even a word? oh well...
Anyways,, another semi-useful thing that i knoew for a while, but just remembered to post it untill now
As the title says, this is how to resize almost anything (exept for checkpoints and a couple other stuff) like lever switches, or those objects which can't be shrunk down for some reason.
Quite simple really, but for some reason, by tilting these objects clock-wise at about 45 degrees - 90 degrees you'll be able to shrink or increase the size of almost anything.
Most useful when you have little room and the lever is just taking most of the space (elevators for example), by using this you can shrink it. Or when they send you an object and its too large and you can't shrink it, do this and it should shrink quite easly.
Hope this helps!

I didn't know people didn't know about that. I've been using it as long as I can remember. Also in case people don't know, to re-size the other stuff (checkpoints, scoreboards) just capture it, place an emitter and choose to emit it. While placing it and its translucent, you can change the size. Repeat the process as needed. Make sure the emitter is set to infinite life span for the object.2009-05-09 07:51:00

rob's right, that's such a better way of doing it.

This technique also works for objects you can't shrink that you've made yourself.

Ito re-size the other stuff (checkpoints, scoreboards) just capture it, place an emitter and choose to emit it.

Didn't that get fixed in yarg?

Silverleon, Nice tip. I can't help but think that you have forgotten more workarounds for this game than most people have ever learned!

Oh and did you guys know you can place a checkpoint o_O

I was like WOWOWOW wow wooowowow! O_O

Sorry that was totally useless >_>

errr.... I'm using this little trick to make stuff invisible because if you want to make an invible wall you don't nesceseraly have to use Dark Matter.

I tried to make an entire level bigger once, by capturing it and placing it in an emitter... it just felt a little cramped, you know?

All I can say is it didn't work out very well.
