Tips for cutting out a sackboy?

Archive: 9 posts

Does anyone have a tip from cutting a sackboy I've taken picture of out of, say cardboard? Any shapes that makes it easier?2009-05-07 17:44:00

I'd use the corner editor tool. Much more precise. Just put the sticker on cardboard then with the corner editor tool add points to the edge and move it till it matches the shape of the sticker. It's how I do the hair and crowns on the fairies in my Chroma Stone levels.2009-05-07 17:49:00

Morgana's tip is probabley the best suggestion, but if you get your sackboy exactly in the center and then place a sackboy-shaped bit of cardboard you should be able to put your sackboy pretty closely on it 2009-05-07 17:51:00

How can you forget the corner edit tool? It's one of the most useful ones. 2009-05-07 18:12:00

Also, try editing it big - x4 size or maybe x8 will help massively. Not uber big though - this will bckfire because when you shrink back down many of your corners will be lost2009-05-07 18:31:00

Exactly how I did my characters. I cut them out at a larger scale then shrank them afterwards.
