Dante Alighieri's Inferno

Archive: 10 posts

I dunno if this idea is going to take off right away, but I just wanted to put it out there. I'm finishing up the materials and objects in my older PSN profile (from my psp) to start up my own full series based on Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy", focusing on The Inferno. If anyone has read these before, you can imagine the amount of potential I've got here.

So what I need from you guys is ideas. Creatures I can put in. Important things I should not forget to add from the story. Anything. I'm gonna do my best to put together my best levels yet! I will start putting them up in the Level Feedback forum as they're done, so keep an eye out for them. SO... In the meantime. Ideas?!

Well, it's easy to find it online. I'm readin it right now for reference. Takin a break after I set up a teleporter for once you drop into the inferno.

I'm so disappointed. I had to get a new ps3 (mine broked) and I can't get most of my old DLC because my friend who let me get them off of his PSN account is apparently activated on 5 ps3's already, so I can't download them. :[[ T_T

You might want to watch that there, LBPC is rather anti game sharing. Just FYI. Bummer about the DLC though.2009-05-07 05:05:00

By enemies you could surely use the souls and/or demos, as well as enemies based on the 7 sins, just like in Devil May Cry which is root-based on Dante's inferno as well.
So if you've played Devil May Cry you can find many things that can be used in a "Dante's Infero" level.

True, but at the same time, I don't want people looking at my level and automatically thinking "Oh this is based on Devil May Cry!" because as good a game as DMC is, to mistake it for the divine comedy is just... Painful. That's like listening to... -tries to think of an example-

That's like listening to Dio's Holy Diver, and then someone coming up and being like "Hey, isn't that Killswitch Engage's song? Is this a cover or something?"

If anyone understands what I'm talkin about.

River styx? That was one of the parts, between 2nd and 3rd circle or something? Have the boat sail along a firey river with a grim reaper in it. 2009-05-08 18:07:00

I believe Styx was the fifth circle. A boiling river of blood, in which the wrathful tear each other piecemeal, while the gloomy sit in the muck.2009-05-10 06:06:00

Limbo is a peaceful green place where the virtuous non-believers and unbaptized go. There they live normal lives for all eternity; their only punishment is that they can never see the face of god, though they long to.2009-05-11 10:10:00
