Feedback for Feedback update

Archive: 9 posts

I've tweaked the way Feedback for Feedback works to make it a lot more intuitive. Instead of the "Prefix" option (which was very mysterious for users who had never used F4F), I've changed it to show "Use F4F?", along with a link to the explanation thread and a tooltip if you hover over the link. The options in the dropdown box have been changed as well. I've included screenshots of the changes, but you're free to try them on your own if you'd like - the changes are live for everyone.

EDIT: I forgot about the mobile users! Sorry - I've included attachments instead of spoiler tags.

Very nicely done CC. I think that the reason a lot of people don't do F4F is because they can't find it - this should help a lot
Another good update

Nice feature, I'm sure this will help a lot. Heads up on a minor point: it seems to be prefixing html title fields with "yes", rather than F4F, when you view the thread (i.e the "F4F: laser levels" thread says "yes laser levels" in the title bar)2009-05-06 09:30:00

Fixed. Thanks!

Interesting bug find, rtm

Very nice addition CC, but just one thing: YOU HAVE OVER 2500 PMS?! Ouch.

This should clear up a bit of confusion amongst new members.

PS: Is that Weebl or something as another application at the bottom?

Just some related comments....

- I suggest people link their F4F levels thread in their signature. Too many people not doing it.

- "I played you level, it was cool. I didn't like the bridge part though". This is not worthy feedback. I'm sure you can write a bit more about the level and describe your "why you like or don't" a bit more than that. It incitate people at returning the feedback to YOUR levels instead of others.

Yeah, I have quite a bit of PMs - I clear them out every couple of months, but I haven't done so since February or so.

And, no, that's Digsby (a multi-protocol IM client) running on Windows 7 (upcoming Windows operating system - version RC1). It's so I can sign into gmail, AIM, and MSN simultaneously - lets me act on site issues quicker basically.

Is this for the thread that explains Feedback for Feedback? Well, I'll be happy to add the first one, but the second one is up to you guys to report. It's not valid Feedback and would be considered abuse of the system, but you have to let us know about it first before we can do anything - sadly, we can't check every thread.

Of course my second advice is just an ethical one. It cannot be a rule since "worthy feedback" is a perception question. In short, I'm advising to give the best feedback you can. I always try to return the detailed feedback first and especially to the person in question (unless of course he doesn't have a F4F thread).
