Does anyone know who will be able to download the beta release for LBP. I think that there is one out for Warhawk at the moment but i dont think that i can download it in Australia which to be honest really sucks cos that basically means that i probably wont be able to get the beta release for LBP. I am going to have to wait for it to come out on Blue Ray Disc. Also i wanted to open this thread for info regarding the date when the beta will be released and i know its going to be the end of this year so dont bother posting that. I mean when you find out maybe a set date or something then post it here. Also any information regarding the Beta release feel free to post it up here for people to see. Another thing, and i am guilty of this as well, can we please keep this thread on topic. I have noticed a growing trend for people to go on about things that do not relate to the thread at all. Again i am guilty of this as well but i am asking for people to try and keep this one on topic. I will try my hardest to stay on topic from now on. Thankyou.

no need to sound so formal my friend Warhawk beta ended 3 weeks ago, it was only availalble to few PSN accounts that were chosen for the beta, not because your in AUS LittleBigPlanet beta: fall 2007 official release date: Q1 2008 (sometime in jan-mar)

I hope it comes out around or after Christmas, thats probably when I'll be getting my PS3. I don't see why they wouldn't allow it to be downloadable for everyone.

Yeah, I think the beta will be more open. Maybe not the first little bit. Sometimes they start with a smaller limited group, and then expand it to a public beta. Then again, the Warhawk beta was closed, and I'm not sure there will be a more open beta. I'm kind of wondering how Sony betas work though. I got into the Warhawk beta, and not Home. I'm hoping that because I got into the Warhawk beta, that this doesn't ruin the chances of me getting into the other one. LBP

Their are sign ups from the companies website for beta, and sony just chooses random PSNs. I hope it comes out around or after Christmas, thats probably when I'll be getting my PS3. Because, game devs have a budget they need to keep, the more people that play the beta, the more bandwit will be eaten from servers. So they need to limit the people since they can't just blow $100,000 to keep the servers strong enough for every people to play

Well that sucks cos i aint been able to use the home beta so i guess i wont get to use the LBP beta. Oh man that was really bad news, now i gotta wait even longer to have a go at the game. I really hope they make it more available especially to us in down under.

Home is closed beta (thats why you didnt get in : see first reply in this thread for more info) Home "open" beta will invite 50,000 random psn users. so yea, we might have a chance yet

it would be neat if they included the beta, when heavenly sword comes out. i doubt they do that but it would be great. our luck will get a limited run like warhawk.

I couldn't help but notice that on the front page of this website it says they are going to be releasing a public beta in a few months. Now... What do you think they mean by "Public". Does this mean everyone will be able to use the beta or do you still think that it will be left as a closed beta to the GAP members. I guess the real question is wether the source is quoting actual words or they added that bit in themselves. So there stands another question. Has anyone seen or heard the media molecule guys state that the beta will be a public beta?

GAP only makes your chances a little higher for betas, people that get in are still randaom. since they said Home will contain the LBP beta on the stage demo, Im guessing "public" beta in LBP is the same as "open" for Home. confused? Home "open" beta is only 50k random PSNs, so yea..not really an open beta. So Im guessing LBP "public" beta means the same : sounds free for all but limited

look at the number of owners of XBOX 360's and WII's. there are much more owners of that consoles than ps3

sony is just so stupid to make the price that high... if you sell about 2 million PS3's with a low price... about 100 - 200... you earn more money than you do now.. and when this comes out... the price must've dropped a bit, so thats the time i'll buy one

yea we all know 360 is 2:1 (year advantage) amd Wii 4:1 (cheapest console) to the point, even if we are losing the console war, 50k is a pretty slim chance of getting in. even in "ps3 standards" lol if you think 50k is low, try the MGS beta 3k.... sony is just so stupid to make the price that high... if you sell about 2 million PS3's with a low price... about 100 - 200... you earn more money than you do now.. and when this comes out... the price must've dropped a bit, so thats the time i'll buy one Sony is losing 200-300 per console in the 600 price tag already....their doing the best they can to keep it low, just trust Sony. They won each console generation since PS1.

i think instead of a beta there will just be a non-exclusive demo widely available for download on the psn. but thats just me cus they keep saying demo demo demo.

I think at the beginning it will be a small amount of people into the Beta but will gradually increase until the game comes out.
