Sticker key concept
Archive: 12 posts
I posted this in the littlebigmoon thread a while back. So basically you create a sticker and put it in an egg as a reward. Then later you have to use it in a "sticker switch" to unlock a door for instance or to reward another goody. So for all you people looking for a way to make people find keys to unlock passages like in a dungeon or whatever here you go! Basic concept, but I think it will work. | 2008-08-29 03:49:00 Author: sackninja Posts: 37 |

Wow, I have never thought about that before, talking about thinking outside the egg. :arg: | 2008-08-29 03:53:00 Author: Unknown User |
That is really, really clever. I hope stickers that you collect are instantly added for use into your popit; that way this idea would be possible. | 2008-08-29 04:37:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
yeah I was thinking the same idea, I was actually thinking about giving out a sticker at the end of my levels that will be used as a puzzle in a final level in my story I am making. | 2008-08-29 05:21:00 Author: Darth_Spartan Posts: 813 |

But aren't there the magnetical switches for the key/door thing? The stickers would work, but I think you get stuff you collect as a reward at the -end- of a level, or not? To have a sticker as a reward at the end of one level to open a door in another should work though. I only heard that you can give a key as a reward at the end of a level to gain access to the next level. The stickers could be used to open a door in mid-level though, so it's not a waisted idea. | 2008-08-29 15:59:00 Author: Shiwayari Posts: 167 |

You can give out rewards through the level, on of the things is stickers. Stickers can be used to create a trigger also or bring something to life. So you can give out the stickers in your levels and than have some type of trigger I am guessing that if you fit them up correctly they will open up a door or bring something to life. We shall see I guess how this works. | 2008-08-29 16:14:00 Author: Darth_Spartan Posts: 813 |
If you mean the glass bubbles by "rewards through the level" (I don't mean the points which used to be fluff, but the ones with stuff inside) then I think that the stuff inside the glass bubbles you collect through the level will only be usable after the level is finished. That's how it used to be and as they just "fixed" those glass bubbles in later, I think it was just to be able to hide them and the "reward at the end" was kept. Just my opinion though, never read anything about it. Or was there actually some news that I missed? | 2008-08-29 18:39:00 Author: Shiwayari Posts: 167 |

I am not sure where I read this but you can create things in your level and give those as rewards, and also keys. So my understanding was yes you should be able to create a sticker and give it out as a reward at the end of the level. | 2008-08-29 18:42:00 Author: Darth_Spartan Posts: 813 |
Ah.. so that's what you meant. Well yeah your right, I read that too. My first post was a reply to ConfusedCartmans post where he said he hoped for rewards being instantly useable as soon as you collect the bubble. And I was just saying that the magnetic switches can be used for that, because just as you said, I think that you get what you collected at the ->end<- of the level. So the stickers you collect will not be usable in the same playthrough, but in the next or in another level. There, they can be used to activate triggers then. | 2008-08-29 19:05:00 Author: Shiwayari Posts: 167 |
Yah i think these "rewards" are instantly added to the pop-it. I'm pretty sure?? | 2008-08-29 20:01:00 Author: LittleBigMan Posts: 326 |
Well all i said is just me speculating while trying to follow some logic, so I'm not "sure" at all, I just can't see it being otherwise. And I thought there is no news on this topic (or is there?) so how you are pretty sure? | 2008-08-29 20:48:00 Author: Shiwayari Posts: 167 |
