Plot/Story - Well, there really is no story or plot to this...
You are a bubble hunter, and you have been told that beyond The Waterfall is bubbles galore. But what dangers are you going to encounter... you shall find out!

Further Comments - Well, I must admit, at times it does feel really random in terms what theme it is or lighting and whatnot. I sort of wanted to make it interesting all the way through the level, changing it all the time, so you don't know what to expect...

This is my first real level, so please enjoy...

Thoughts as they happen.

- Nice intro sign.
- Not a huge fan of levels that mainly use the floor of the level, but since it`s just the start it`s not a big deal.
- Everything is made from hassan fabric. As a result it looks rather bland. Vary it up a bit.
- The waterfall itself is lovely and well made.
- However, it is not enjoyable. It`s a long uninteresting slog to the top. At the point where you emerge from behind the waterfall i got hit by that bug and died. I got sent way back down the waterfall really had no interest in going all the way back up again. I will return at some point and finish it to give you all my thoughts. but from what I`ve seen so far, a few more set pieces need to be added to liven things up.

Beautifully made. The waterfall itself provided some interest when going inside it, etc. Although I was a little confused during the level (by the story, but that's my fault), but other than that, it was very well done!

Cog was the host, so he did the ranking for me.

It's a great concept for a level and this one is long. Tons of platforming challenges and some interesting areas that are not your average platform style play. I had a lot of fun playing it.

I thought your waterfall area was nicely done and You have an interesting kind of design style. It's a little abstract and geometric but very unique. I thought the "god" section was beautiful and a great part of the story.

You've sort of got four or five levels worth of styles wrapped up in this one level. It wasn't a bad thing but I think that it doesn't help the loose story to have so many different types of environments. Just an opinion and I wouldn't suggest changing them to all one style either - it sort of works visually even though it doesn't really get explained by the story.

As a first level it's REALLY impressive. I'm looking forward to more stuff from you. I'm really glad I played it - gave it 5 stars and hearted it. There's just something fun about this level! Thanks for sharing it.

I don't think the story part is really your fault, as there really isn't one... LOL! It's a very random level, I must admit, but I guess it's good to have some sort of objective, and I guess the objective is really random aswell in itself... Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback... I actually thought the God section in my level, was very random although, it sort of explains why everything is alittle randomly themed, once you get taken up into the sky... Suppose to be all randomly magical I guess...

That was me being lazy tell you the truth, just building as I go along and didn't have any plan for any of it... Just built bit by bit, randomly... And at the end it doesn't even make sense, but I'm glad you still found it fun... LOL!

I must admit, because of the changing of themes it does sort of help the player, to not get bored, and feel like they are playing a different level from what they started off with... Wasn't aiming for that effect, but I guess I am now... LOL! Like I said very random...

Thanks man, I look foward to your reply... And yep, I've fixed the pictures into spoiler tags, except now once you click on it to see the pictures, they are the original size... Bloody massive! LOL!...

Hey mate, thanks for the comments...
I hope you do play it again, and try to play it all the way to the end, cause in my opinion it is quite boring till you get past The Waterfall, as it picks up in pace alot, and I think it gets alot better from then on in... But yes I do agree with you, but once you've played all of it, I hope you will change your mind in terms of wanting me to liven things up abit... As it really does come to life once you've past that part... Hopefully you won't be dissapointed once you've completed it, as it's not so boring, as a whole... I hope anyways...

Just played it and enjoyed it a lot. My favourite part was the waterfall section as it was beautifully designed and looked very realistic.

I can't add much to what everyone else has said except to sympathise with Matt. I too fell to the floor several times and found that a bit annoying. It would be better to seal off the edges to prevent falling completely to the bottom. It didn't stop me from trying again though because i'm a sucker for great design and was eager to see more.

Overall I thought it was a great level and would love to see you make another level with more of the waterfall style design throughout and without your 'trademark' lasers. As good as they are they aren't really necessary or suited to some levels.

Although, the lasers weren't really nescessary at the end, I shouldn't have really bothered with them, but yeah your right though, doesn't really suit it, but then again, everything else is randomly themed... I may get rid of them though, and just put some spotties in there, just so it brightens it up a bit more...

Oh and as for the waterfall, and the falling... I don't think I wanna change it or make it easier for people as I find it really easy now... LOL! Suppose it's the amount of times I've played it... But yeah, can't make it all too easy...

THANKS FOR ALL THE FEEDBACK GUYS... KEEP THEM COMING!!!

Right I`m up the water fall.

- I still think that a checkpoint 3/4 of the way up would be a benefit.
- The God thing is pretty good. It moves well. Though it looks like it has curlers in its hair!
- After the snow monster there`s a blind jump. I'm never keen on them. There is no danger in this case, but it gives the impression you`ve to do something first, like lower a bridge, or in this level, 'call for a god'.
- Catching the logs as they go over the electricity was good.
- I like the look of things here.
- On the glass steps, the camera is going a bit mental
- The part with the slides with the enemies on, the last intersection, the back layer doesn`t stick up very far so jumping doesn`t auto-land you on it, but it`s too hight o just step back. It needs brought up just a little bit.

I`m stuck. It`s at the bit where everything is fiery and you push the something along until its neck extends to push the button. I thingk I may have pushed it a little far as it`s stuck without the button being on. Also, I think this might a puzzle as it seemed that when the button does go down everynow and then (when I grab the top and swing), the columns don`t go up and down but just change. Anyway, I`m looking about for other buttons or switches but can`t see anything. Help me!

Ok I'm a little confused to what you mean... But if your wondering what you need to do, you have to push or pull that large object and position it directly under the button... Once it's positioned correctly it'll light up and the button will move up and down automatically, allowing you to progress through, by dodging the moving columns of course...

Although, I think I may need to fix it cause some times when it lights up it's right on the edge and doesn't press the button, even though the button pushing object is moving up and down... I may need to just adjust the mag key to a more acute angle...

Right, well in that case what has happened is that I`ve been pushing it along and the neck went up to push the button but somewow missed and got jammed so I couldn`t move it. The lights went on at first but went off again so I can only guess that the switch that turns on the lights is different to the one that extends the piston, since the piston stayed up even though the lights had gone off.

Just make a blocker on the ground to stop players pushing it too far.

I played this the other day and have only just remembered to leave feeback
It was a pretty fun level, ut it was just so weird and crazy - not to mention unstructured. But it had some sort of amazing charm to it.

Pros:
+Nice waterfall
+The bit where you "Roar" from the top!
+The quirky-ness of the gameplay
+Some pretty fun platforming

Cons:
-Just too unstructured, the storyline hardly made any sense.

I rated it 4 stars because I enjoyed playing it.... and it was weird!

I don't even know if there was a storyline... And I created it... LOL!

But yeah, understandable... I'm working on a new project at the moment, and I definitely will be paying attention to structure and storyline this time round...

In a way that level felt rushed... I guess it's because I was too excited about publishing a level that actually has some lenght to it... Instead of my other ones, which are mainly just short races...

Anyways, look forward to my next one peeps, it won't be a dissapointment like this one, as I plan to make sure I get a spotlighted level this time round...

I know I can do it, it's just a matter of not rushing and taking my time to use the perfectionist side of me... LOL! If that makes sense...

One more thing, it won't have nothing to do with Bubble Hunter... Seriously what was I thinking... LOL!

checked this out today. At first I thought it was just going to be another boring level, but I was pleasantly surprised because it got really good. I liked the variety, and the platforming is good. I got a kick out of the heads always grunting at me. Also I don't mind about the story as that's usually not too important to me. one part I thought needs a little work is the part where there's a bunch of ramps with enemies. The blue lights you have here totally hide the enemies so when you die because you can't see the enemy it just feels like a cheap death. Other than that I really liked it.2009-05-08 02:48:00

Thanks for the comments man, I haven't touched this level for a while in terms of fixing up the little bits I should fix... But with that one, I'll probably leave that man, I find it really easy to get through... But at times it can be difficult cause of the lighting and slippery surface... I don't think I wanna make it too easy... But then again, it's probably a little too difficult for someone that doesn't know the layout of that section...

What do you suggest I do to make it better? Change light colour or something along those lines...?

Just for future reference, Imageshack has a "resize image" option upon upload. I suggest re-uploading with that feature on (pick a good size, maybe 1024x768 if that's an option) and re-add the images. That way the page doesn't get distorted while it's loading.2009-05-08 04:54:00

It wasn't that it was really hard, but some people might find it cheap because you cant see the enemies. It's the fog setting that hides the enemies. I know if you change that then you might not keep the look you wanted. so if you can find a different color that works that might help, but if you decide not to change it I don't think it's a big deal. I just wanted to point it out.
