Wierd Glitch- Walking through walls?

Archive: 11 posts

In my current level, I'm making a mini-boss fight with a giant squid. Yeah, well I put a brain on it and when you defeat it by grabbing it's tentacles, it dies. That's where things get interesting.
After it died everything around it became passable. I mean, it was still there, but you could walk right through walls and such. Even objects sitting above them would fall through to the bottom floor.
Now, I have absolutely NO idea how this happened, but I fixed it now and everything works fine. If I could only remember what I did while creating, it could be extremely useful.

Hmmm... I didn't do any of those, though. There is toxic gas on the boss, but it's not attached to any walls except for dark matter...

The Killian after a long day of moderating becomes are rather more docile creature than when he has just fed.

He still searches around looking for threads and grubs to pass the time until the night when he can retire to his nest and get wasted drinking obscene amounts of alcohol and eating kebabs.

Our cameramen have been following this Killian for a few weeks and here is the first footage of this more fatigued state:
*And we're rolling*
"As you can see over there beyond the OP's secondary post the Killian has left some fresh droppings. Now normally these would be full of vitamins and minerals which would leave the local area, that we experts call a thread, better off than before. However the Killian was too tired and so has simply left a trail of rocks showing the direction of a nearby bush which will have to supply the nutrients that would've otherwise been fulfilled by the droppings; this sign posting is what we call a 'link' or sometimes a 'hyperlink' though they have the same meaning.

Join me next time on Adventures in the Forums when we find the Killian's nest and discover his hidden stash of elbow grease which he uses to keep his environment so clean and friendly.

*And cut!*

Very interesting OP; It may be related to the complexity of the shape and/or devices or it may be what Killian posted.

Wait what? What do you mean Wildlife program?

I've had this happen to me when there was too much stuff in one area. For me it was caused by too many bubbles in an area.2009-05-05 04:53:00

I had this a few months back with explosives. The explosives would be triggered, but then suddenly I would fall through the material to the floor and I could walk through everything...2009-05-05 21:03:00
