Should they release a couple of free packs?

Archive: 19 posts

You know, for those who can't get credit cards or find PSN cards or for whatever reason may be? In my opinion, they should. Plus everyone would benefit from it, because nothing puts a better smile on your face than free stuff. They need to release some free packs, and more free costume packs! Or here's an idea, they should release codes at a local store for the same prices on Playstation Store that way we can use the codes to get the level packs we want without the hassle of using a credit card. It could work, right?!2009-05-03 06:31:00

Duh, Free Stuff are always good. Although, they gave us Create Pack 1 for free. I'm pretty sure there's a small fee for Create Pack 2. (somewhat)2009-05-03 09:19:00

Well, they do sell PSN cards for those who can't get credit cards
But it still would be nice to get some free DLC, tho keep in mind making a costume and a whole pack are 2 different things, but making a pack cost more, specially since thay have to get the rights to use the theme of what they're making the pack of. (Unless is original/non-copyrighted stuff)

They do release a few but Sony decide the prices in the end.

They planned to release the Valentines pack for free but Sony came in at the last minute and slapped a 3 euro price tag on it.

Did Sony change the price of the Ragdoll Kung Fu pack, too? On the MM site (http://www.mediamolecule.com/2009/04/08/aprils-dlc-kicks-off-with-rag-doll-kung-fu-costumes/) it says it's only $2.99, although it may have been a typo, considering there is a $5.99 next to it.

Create pack / cornish yarg were free. I have a strong suspicion create pack 2 will be free as well. Everyone gets the big stuff that enhances the game and really makes a difference for free, whilst paying for "luxury" items. This is a good thing.

Back in my day there was no such thing as DLC, think yourselves lucky you get anything!

Exactly.

While free stuff is nice, most of the paid stuff is usually worth it.

As long as we don't have to pay for patches and game updates, I'm happy with paying for some luxury content.
Problem is with Sony and their regional lockdowns :/

I think it would be nice if they released a free set of levels at Christmas or another rare event.2009-05-03 18:13:00

Free costumes did appear regularly since the launch of the game.

Also guys, you don't need a credit card or PSN card to buy stuff, you can also use "pre-paid credit" cards.

Per example, I know that here in Canada the Sears pre-paid cards works in PSN. I'm sure there are other cards that also work but obviously didn't try them.
