i was in the middle of making a level. i had a good bit of it done, my first working tank, and a decent story (at least i thought, tho it was a bit cliche ) so every once in a while, id save it, just in case. but then i was messaging a friend, and decided to take a look at the trophies he collected. i selected Rag Doll Kungfu, for who knows what reason, and then BAM. "an error has occured". it wouldnt let me back out of that screen either. i sat there for maybe 5 minutes trying to figure out what to do. i tried everything, til i got sick of it and flipped the power slip out of anger : i think thats what did it. after that i turned on LBP again. heres the worst part... my level? gone my saved tank object? gone my newly saved costumes? gone that whole time i played got erased >:[ is there anything i can possibly do to get my memory back? i worked pretty hard on that level for a good 45 minutes or so. i would really appreciate any advice.

It sounds like it reverted to the previous save game data (before you turned on the game the last time.) It's the same kind of thing that happens when your profile is too full. The game starts up with the last set of good data is has. I don't think there's a way to recover anything you lost because you couldn't have backed up the data without shutting down the game and if you'd done that - the info would have been there when you restarted the game. Sorry - but I think it's gone for good. I had a level corrupt by going into my message section once. It's sort of like playing Russian Roulette when you pop over to answer a message. I usually make sure I'm in my pod before hopping over to chat now.

And also, every so often return to your pod, and publish the level as 'locked', so nobody can play it but you. And then the data is online, so if someting like that happens, you can go online and copy the level back to My Moon. Hope this helps, as the same thing happened to me a few times. Remembe to back up your saved data in a dlashdrive everynow and then just in case something happens to your data, this way you can just delete the "corrupted data" and replace it with the one in your flashdrive, sure yo might loose one or 2 things, but at least you won't have to restart from the begining.
