| I thought it would be cool to maybe have LBP themed smilies to make our board more unique, so I tried to create a pixel version of sackboy's head. | Well I already put my work into this before I came across this topic...so here is the one I made. http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x3/lbp_global/assets/sackboy_smiley.png I thought I had to keep it in the same size dimensions as the original smilies...because I've never worked on customizing vbulletins before. I like how this little guy turned out. I beefed him up with a little anti-aliasing and I had to tweak the colors a lot. | Yeah it still needs a lot of work...I did have a lot of problems trying to get the stitching to look right as well. | Thanks! ^^ You definitely had the right idea Pinocchio by staying to the square-ish face of the sackboy. You've already got a great start too. I would definitely keep going! @ ants Sorry I don't want you to think that we are ignoring you or anything. So in answer to your question I made my sackboy "sprite" in MS Paint also. You can make your own very easily by simply opening up Paint, selecting either the pencil tool or the paint brush tool (at smallest size to work in pixels) and start creating. Here is an example for you. It's Pyriamid Head! http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/6330/phlineartmc3.png The small version is what you actually work with...and the bigger version was a zoomed in look of the pixel outline. This is unfinished and I don't know if I am ever going to finish it, but thats just how you start out. I would probably start by working off of some edit sprites. Like Mario from Super Mario World.
