I have no idea whether this will be at all possible. I'll have to wait and see how the layer thing works etc. This basic idea for this level is you climb inside the space ship, take a lift to the top of the craft, and then it 'takes off'. (as you can see thats done by having wheels that are attached to the ship that climb the side panels.) You then guide your ship right or left by pressing down on either the right or left red buttons in the cockpit. You then get to the sun, which you must battle in order to progress, or win the level (Im undecided yet, as in all honesty im not sure how I can end this level. Perhaps somehow 'land' on another planet, so the Sackboys can get out, and pass through the finish) As you can see you 'Boss' battle with the sun is pretty much how you defeat one of the actual littleBigPlanet boses (the one at the end of the scrapyard level i think it is?) So, i may change how you defeat it. If i can come up with a fresh idea. I want the ship to be able to fire projectiles as well, so that will really effect how the level plays out. Nice! I haven't seen many vertical levels yet (other than Linque's Cruel Contraptions). Can you explain the boss battle with the Sun? How do you defeat it? What are those three buttons on the Sun for? Adding to the Idea Bank, give me a sec.

Right now to defeat the sun you have to simply position the space craft under the projectiles the sun fires at you and deflect them back trying the hit the buttons (the front of the space craft opens up to produce a flat surface when you reach that point so you can deflect the fireballs back). Once all buttons are hit the sun dies. (which now i say that, im not sure i want to blow up the sun, but still, it is just a game haha) So, the basic idea is very similar to the boss battle in one of the official videos. Hope that makes things a little clearer. Thanks for adding it to the Idea Bank as well!

Hope that makes things a little clearer. Yeah, it really does, thanks. BTW, shouldn't the 'projectiles' be asteroids or comets? Unless you want the sun to be spitting giant balls of fire which would be awesome too. Even if you use the giant balls of fire idea, there should still be asteroids & comets you have to avoid on your journey upwards. :arg:

Even if you use the giant balls of fire idea, there should still be asteroids & comets you have to avoid on your journey upwards. :arg: I was deffinitly thinking fireballs. But asteroids, would be fantastic to avoid as you make your way through the level and such. I would love to be able to have it so your spaceship has like 5 hits before it is destroyed. So bits fall of etc. The the picture i made is more a rouch idea then anything. I mean look at the Spaceship, it looks like clock tower or something! haha I would also like the level to be much longer. So get the other planets in there, and maybe a crafty Alien spacecraft! I love trying to think of ideas at the moment, but not having my hands on the tools is really frustrating. I really want to just muck about and see whats possible. Ah well, only a few months!

I like the design and it is one of the few ideas going vertical which is cool. the control idea is nice too.

That is a really great idea. Not to undermine anyone else, but definitely one of the more creative ideas I've seen so far, and one that actually looks fun to play. Thanks man! I wonder how high we can allow the things to go!? I hoping really high! In one of the interviews (or it may have been a video) im sure it was said that the level can be the equivalent of 100m long. So hopefully it can be this tall as well.

Cool. I had something like this in mind already... But different. If it works out, it'll be a really cool idea. Probably limited to 2-3 players, though.

I actually see it as a great single player level, but not really any more than one person. Unless you can get multiple people to pilot, one person would do all the work, while the rest just kind of stood there.

I don't feel like saying much...keeping my idea to myself. ;D Bwahah.
