So I miss my little kid getting shot in the face avatar already, and the text is a bit hard to read - yesterday I was in love with this new combo - but today, I want other opinions... The white text is easier to read but the black text looks sleeker. Maybe if you merged the two?

I like the black text better; when you changed the white text's transparency, it made the picture look worse. If you just made another layer for the text that would be better. (I'm probably the first one to notice that XD

Yeah that's easily readable at that size but I think your sig as it is has too much going on round the edges of the letters so it's unclear.
