Bionic Commando

The multiplayer demo of the new Bionic Commando came out today on Xbox 360. Anyone else play it? Here are my impressions, starting with the bad parts.

- No tutorial? How am I supposed to learn to use the Bionic Arm if I'm getting killed constantly? At least give me a training room.

- The demo level shouldn't have been a night level. I can hardly see anything, which makes it even harder to learn to play.

- The shooting part of the game isn't anything special.

- The character models are a bit bland, but not a big issue.

- You can jump.

Now for the good stuff.

- The Bionic Arm adds quite a bit to the game. It's so satisfying being able to grapple onto someone who is trying to run away, then shooting or zip-kicking them.

- Swinging around with the Bionic Arm works well. The physics work quite nicely for it.

- I like hanging on to the side of a building, then popping up and surprise attacking somebody on top.

I have high hopes for this game. I'm a big Bionic Commando fan. Hopefully the issues will be solved by the time it's released.		2009-04-30 01:33:00

I found it to have a little bump in learning curve, which was the controls.

But after the controls I started having a blast, I was swinging around killing people and it was great. I'm really excited to play the full version.

That makes sense, that way you get the purple matrix and the spencer skins.

Oh cool, there is a Bionic Commando thread! :-) I thought about starting one myself until this thread. ^.^

Bionic Commando is one of my all time favorite games! I just ove that franchise and the new 3D BC is just awesome! The gameplay is so much fun that I'm still playing it! The swing mechanic is the best you could think of and the feeling to be completely free never gets boring! Wouldn't it be so linear it would be just perfect! Too bad that the multiplayer is so bad but I'm playing it anyway.

Are there any other fans besides me? If yes what do you think about the games? Which one is your favorite? Do you play the mutliplayer? What would you like to see in BC2?

Well I liked it. It's a good explanation why his had disappeared and it the story becomes deeper this way. I'm sure we will get to know more of Spencers personality because of this.

Btw that was a spoiler. Could you please write a warning to that post? If there is anyone here who starts to get interested in it and would like to buy it you would ruin it for her/him.		2010-04-08 01:07:00
