Complicated objects capture glitch.

Archive: 8 posts

I have found yet another glitch or bug or whatever it is.

Turns out that if you capture something with an object that "its too comlpicated", whenever you try place it, you won't be able to no matte what...
So yeah, if you're making complicated shapes, make sure to simplify them a bit nefore capturing them, or you might end up losing them

Another new bug i've noticed a lot since CY is that items in your goodies bag are now invisible and some are getting the 'Red blob of Death' under them which means you can never use them again. It's happening with objects, costumes and stickers alike.

Also I have lost about 20 objects and stickers because of the 'Red blob of Death' recently. This was present before CY but it just seems to be happening much more since.

I've also noticed that when capturing an object you've made very often it doesn't show any stickers that are on it in the popit menu although they are still there when you place it in the level. I usually just keep capturing it several times until it eventually captures it properly and shows the stickers then delete the ones that haven't. It's just an annoyance more than anything.

I've lost half of my costumes and items since Cornish Yarg because of that.
I am hoping this only affects pre-Yarg items though!!

Wow. I've never seen this object/costume bugs. I guess i'm lucky.

What is really worrying to me is how every version of LBP seem to be all over the place (generally speaking). I mean, wtf, we alll have different bugs...

That would be pretty typical with a software that isn't all that stable, bad coding. How am I not surprised...

lol, yes indeed, but it has happened with a couple of other objects as well now too, that's why i mentioned it until now.

@Mistervista: The "Red Blob of death" as you call it isjust a red spot with an exclamation sign that is to tell you that whatever you selected is corrupted, and its not a glitch but rather to prevent you from using it, for if you did your whole profile would probably get corrupted, so in a sort of way its a good thing.
Mostly just happens with really old stuff tho.
And the items invisible in your popit, define it a bit better, because i've seen stuff ike that, if its the "manus" in the popit, then just reset your pod and it should be fine.
If its the objects and other actual items, then its probably just loading it.
This mostly happens if you're playing with someone with slow internet connection or a scratched/dirty disk.

And when you capture an object and the stickers won't show, its just some minor proble, but the object doesn't actually lose the stickers, it just won't show them, so capturing it once its enough.
Hope that help

Now back on THIS thread's problem.
This really sucks, because for the auto-fill glitch i'm having to decompose, capture, and rebuild my level in another slot in my moon. And it just so happens that one of the parts (as a single piece) is too complicated
And its quite necessary to put together 2 parts of my level.
So yeah it really sucks since it seems i have to rebuild it...
