LBP Zombie Survival: The Rooftops

Archive: 4 posts

Can you survive the carnage? Play this unique blend of COD's Nazi Zombies and Left 4 Dead, LBP style! Can you survive the endless horde of Zombies, no you can't but you can try to get the high score!

In this level you'll need to respond to the message coming through the radio, usually on Left 4 Dead you'll let the infected know were you are but you'll have a rescue helicopter coming for you, on this you'll let the zombies/infected know where you are and get a nice little message from the recuers, "Your on your own". But unlike Left 4 Dead when you die you'll respawn in a nice happy place where the zombies/infected aren't around but you'll be at the end of the level, and whys it like COD's Nazi Zombies? Well its an endless horde of zombies/infected.

I'm hoping to get a good amount of plays and hearts, if I do i'll proberly do another level were you get owned, .

What`s your PSN name? Easier to look up than the title.

EDIT**

Ok, I`ve played it now. Initial thoughts:

Pros:

It`s got a decent look to it. Atmosphere is ok too. I`d add in a little more fog and some music to highten the tension though.

Cons:

It really isn`t obvious what you`ve to do at the start. I initially thought you`d maybe saved it after deleting the switch that got it all started or something. Just make the zombies attack early. Either that or make the radio more obvious or something. It was my third playthrough before I noticed it so the first two times I just wandered about.

Due to the design, you can`t get back and forth between the buildings so if you miss the radio the game`s over before it starts.

I just stood on the one spot on a ledge and waited for them to roll up beside me and I killed their brains with out even moving an inch as they were perfect height for me to bounce on. I literally just left my character there, went and made myself some lunch and ate it before coming back to it. I`m also writing this out as my Sackboy stands and waits for a zombie to run into his feet every ten seconds.

I would recommend making the brains invulnerable so you have to shoot them a few times to get the kill rather than bounce on your head. Motivate players to move somewhere by maybe destroying the gun after they pick it up once or twice. Or maybe turn it into a race across the rooftops chased by zombies without the gun.

Take out the ledges as all it does is give players a safe haven and blocks the zombies.

Thanks, I noticed how bad my level was compared to my inspiration level after I played my inspiration level again, so I've added music and i'm gonna change it so there are no 'safe havens' and i've also made and published another level, LBP Zombie Survival: The Wastelands2009-04-27 07:50:00
