Two concepts!

My first 'real' level. Up until now, I've never saved any of my concepts, and none of them have really been good. But I have started two concepts in earnest, And have been working very hard on them. I hope they haven't been done, or don't get done before I finish.

The first level concept is called 'to the beach!' and is designed to take you through multiple locations, and introducing you to new mechanics in each. Rather then being a single level, it will probably be 3 to 4. The player starts in a suburban sackboy sized home where he really just get's aquanted with the story. All the furniture is bouncy, and there are some fun lighting elemens I worked forever on. Afterwards, the player learns of his desire and hops in a van. The van will take him through the big city, with multiple different levels full of prizzes, buldings that you can interact with, and the constant hazard of traffic, construction materials being raised, and airplanes overhead.

Then, the player will visit a temperate forest location. He will be walking through this portion, and will be faced by multiple falling trees, bug attack, and even an angry bear. At the end of the forest, Sackboy will catch a train, and ride through a long open plan. The main enemy here will be horseriding banditoes, trying to stop your train. Eventually, the train will stop out to a tropical beach, your final destination. Here you'll see a large beach party, and will do a few chores for freinds to get to the conclusion of the level.

Thoughts? Has it been done? Ideas? Critisism?

My second concept is a rather simple one. Down the drain! Sackboy will be in a large, dark house, and will be tasked with finding a clog in the drain, and getting red of it. You'll drop/slide down the drain for as long as possible, and it will be designed as a race, where you fall down, breaking through gross bits of cloggged drain all the way through. At the bottom, you'll hit a sewer, which is designed to be as strange, gross area, where your only light is random colored lights floating in the gross bits of other sewer junk (Which is just large buildups of differnt cork materials, with some gas around it. Eventually, you'll hit a joke race. As soon as it starts, you'll have to get on a very long, slow elevator ride, and you'll come up to the top and the finish just barely before the timmer runs out. You'll eventually come up on a bunch of sewer dwelling characters, who task you with finding and destroying the great monster, the source of the clog. He will be a large serpent type monster, and you'll be given a harpoon gun, which is set up on a winch, and Is something I spent a lot of time setting up. You'll have to time your shot and the harpoon will be set to a pros switch, disolving a barrier in the monsters mouth, then hooking onto a large object. Once you pull it out, the serpent will thank you for saving him from chocking, and leave, letting you continue into the final chamber, and the scoreboard/finish of the level.

As of now, I haven't any screens. But later on I'll put up pictures of a few key moments.
