I've been playing around with this since the Creator pack launched and I've finally found a way to completely hide it from view. Have a look at these pics, ignore the right side, that went wrong. On the left, you can see how the strip of material is positioned. All of this was done with small grid ON. http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr285/grantosuk/IMG_0128.jpg You need the black section to be sticking out, like so http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr285/grantosuk/IMG_0129-1.jpg This works 100% of the time for me. If you need a bigger catchment area just copy and add another on top. I think this works because Sackboy just touches the bit of black sticking out thus cancelling the jetpack or paintinator. It also works for collecting the items

Can't you just shrink it? Or can you flip it and have the X underground and only touch the black? **** need a ps3 to test ideas!!! RAwr!!?!2

Shrinking it reduces the area that Sackboy can touch it, I emitted a tiny version and the activation area was pitiful. Me and a few others tried many solutions, this was the best we came up with.

In my current project, I've hidden one of these by turning it to gas, and putting invisible dark matter either side to make sure you don't actually touch it and die. It's at the end of the undewater section, so it's behind glass which obviously hides the gas. All you can see is the beam of light, which is at least better than a ranom spinning red cross.

i published a non-level called "my gallery" to show you some experiments on this. I used emit to make a huge x and direct the player through the gap between the x and the base. also made a button that gives you a tetherless jet pack of the non-MGS flavor.

You can place Decorations on it. I got 2 saved with decorations on my Free Items level.
