Tye Dye!
Archive: 74 posts
Hello everyone! I'd like to tell you all about my 12th level Tye Dye! It's a simple story all about color. I feel like I've created a level that appeals to the broad audience. I've taken a lot of influence from my Starstruck series and made a fun, addictive high score challenge that rewards exploration and quick fingers. The level is a bubble burner with a focus on creating combos and freestyle platforming. Check out the contest here - it starts tonight and may have even more XP added by the finish. Tye Dye! community contest (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=10510) http://www.epicureme.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/IM000427.JPG.w300h225.jpg I have hidden 18 prizes in the level. If you are a sticker junkie you may or may not know about the hidden stickers in the story mode of the game. These are stickers that you never receive as prizes. They are custom cut and quite nice additions to use in your levels. I have assembled a collection of them and spread them throughout the level. You collect them as objects, just use your sticker tool in the editor to remove them and make copies. http://www.epicureme.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/DSC01566.JPG.w300h225.jpg http://www.epicureme.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/DSC01579.JPG.w300h225.jpg http://www.epicureme.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/DSC01569.JPG.w300h225.jpg http://www.epicureme.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/DSC01576.JPG.w300h225.jpg Like I said, I tried to make a level that appeals to the broad audience. It's pretty for the tourists. Challenging for the gamers. Easy for the kids. Full of prizes for the collectors and it has tons of replay ability. I think it's the most fun played solo, but you can get through it easy enough with more. I hope you all enjoy. For the contest entrants, I will post a video later in the week of a 100k+run. Thanks to misterwonderloo for the awesome font & Drunken_Fist Lee for inspiring the ending of my level. | 2009-04-23 21:02:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |

Ahhh, because, clearly, dawesbr - experience foresting git - has indicated Jaeyden's killer level must now, obviously, perform quite relatively superbly, this unusual variation will eXcel, yehuh? (Zany ) In case you are wondering, I was trying to say that, because I had earlier said this level was great, it will be great, as I said so. Anywho, nice offering. Will play, if I have time! | 2009-04-23 21:12:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
As expected, this looks awesome, just let us know when you've published it!! | 2009-04-23 21:27:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
Looks great Jaeyden, can't wait to play it | 2009-04-23 23:03:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
Well I was your Third play Jaeyden, your second heart and your first rating (5*). That was awesome. Wonderfully coloured and stickered. I liked the way you strang together the points to get good multipliers. Its late here and I'm tired so I'll leave you better feedback tomorrow. But for now it was wonderful, well done. | 2009-04-23 23:36:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
just played it through for the first time and this is amazing! the colours and effects are awesome, and i love how you can string together combos now i just need to try again to get a higher score ^^ | 2009-04-23 23:40:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
I had a quick run through your latest level. Played it, loved it...nuff said. Amazing use of stickers and effects in this one!! I didn't try for a high score this time, I will play it again tomorrow when I can keep my eyes open without the aid of toothpicks. | 2009-04-23 23:45:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
MAN this is a fun level. Tons of stuff to do, lots of variation, a ton of strategy.... you're a genious! I'm going back in a bit later to play some more, but wow - GREAT level. | 2009-04-24 00:48:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
lovin it at the moment, only 150 points from 75,000 just a few problems with it though, - theres a few places that you can die unexpectedly, such as the flying yellow balls. It feels kind of unfair for me dieing like that when i've just been so close to getting 75k - another bit that seems a bit luck based is the platforms that move backwards and forwards towards the end, sometimes you'll be able to jump on and continue your combo and other times you'll have to wait for it to come closer and i don't like how you can't backtrack on some parts, it's nothing big but i found it frustrating when i miss a few bubbles and aren't able to go back for them other than those there's 100 positive things i could say visuals and sticker use are brilliant, the challenges are fun and well designed, i LOVE stringing together huge combos - especially the first string of them that lets you get at least 18x definatly one of my favourite levels (if not my favourite) | 2009-04-24 00:59:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
This level is a mind trip! The visual effects that you put into your levels are crazy and you upped the ante here. The gameplay is fun, with a lot of point bubbles to go after and a lot of fun platforming elements. Early on in the level, I did have some confusion about where to go, but I quickly realized that this level isn't really about going from point A to B in a linear fashion. Instead, it's a big playground with a bunch of stuff to do. Overall, I think you succeeded in goals. This level appeals to casual and the hardcore gamer. Well done! | 2009-04-24 02:31:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
Simply amazing!!! This is probably the best looking level I've seen so far. The effects are brilliant, and the gameplay is great. Very replayable too. I dont think you should change a thing. Awesome job!!! f4f:teleport to ????? | 2009-04-24 02:42:00 Author: smasher Posts: 641 |
Okay, Jaeyden, you know how I feel about the level. It's fun, addictive, beautiful. It's the first level in LBP to me, that actually makes me want to replay, after replay, after replay, just for a higher score. The level is incredibly fun. The colours hypnotised me. I was just drawn in to the world of your level. The gameplay and visuals remind me slightly of Sonic games (the old, good ones ). The level doesn't have one clear path, and most things seem to be too big for sackboy. I often complain about creators that try to make a level "Epic" by just making things huge. You are one of the only creators, like Donkeyshow, that's able to make these levels WITHOUT it feeling clunky, and boring. The level is incredibly easy, but can make you want to break your controller in fustration, when you screw up that combo, or die to one of the very few dangers in the level. The levels path is interweaving, and you can get massive combos everywhere, all of which are perfectly placed. I look foward to your 100k+ vid, to help me get a high score. I'm currently sitting at 4th place with about 47-48k. From the start I've got a 13x combo, and I know I could extend that with practice. I know, I'm rambling. The level has hypnotised me again. After playing it 30 odd times (sorry! :blush and still being miles off of the lead, I figured I needed a break, and to start using the create pack 1 to get ready to launch my own big project (cool levels, we're coming!) but the level was hard to leave. Easily, EASILY, 5 stars and a heart. This would have to be in my LBP all time top 5, along with Geosautus' Tales of the Magnificent Ruby, Mrsupercomputers Basilisk Bog, Shifty_Geezers level (name eludes me, thanks for the reccomendation!) and Sickviconivys (spelling?) Trials of the Seasons part 1. I really would. This level is AWESOME!! | 2009-04-24 04:55:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
Ok I really don't feel original with my next comment but just to tell you that this level is so excellent! You nailed some trippy visuals and use some very well forgotten stickers there and put them to good use. I didn't collect all the prizes and I wonder what they are for? Also, I cannot imagine ever scoring 75k in my wildest dream. The kind of practice that it would ask me is beyond the time I want to put playing the game... instead of creating! . | 2009-04-24 06:01:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
- theres a few places that you can die unexpectedly, such as the flying yellow balls. It feels kind of unfair for me dieing like that when i've just been so close to getting 75k Yeah dexiro, I agree. It happens now and then in a few spots in the level. I'll try to tweak that part up a bit. - another bit that seems a bit luck based is the platforms that move backwards and forwards towards the end, sometimes you'll be able to jump on and continue your combo and other times you'll have to wait for it to come closer This part is tricky. All I can say right now, with out giving anything away is to keep at it. There is a strategy with the moving platforms. Thanks for the plays and feedback so far everyone. Ranger, the prizes are stickers from the story mode that you can't get. Check them out, they're pretty great stickers and two decorations. | 2009-04-24 06:47:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Ok, I have some serious feedback... for real! Don't have bubbles hanging by a bubble! In a lot of instances... you come across like 20 bubbles, and you get all excited and you make a perfect jump at them, then when you hit the first bubble, the rest fall to the ground! It is a pain in the butt, but they should be each individually held up. I would have gotten 75K by now if they were. Other than that, this is the most beautiful, most addictive, MOST replay worthy level ever. Bar none. Great job. And to think I was happy with like 2 minutes on cool levels page 2, this level is going to be on page 1 for a LONG time - well as long as the new system allows. | 2009-04-24 06:50:00 Author: LuckyShot Posts: 713 |
Lol, if Mm has any sense they will bend the rules just for this level!and mine... | 2009-04-24 07:24:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
Is there a spot in particular luckyshot? I'll be happy to evaluate it. I'll say this, there are a few spots where it is imperative that you let some bubbles fall to keep your combo going. | 2009-04-24 08:00:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Lol. I remember one instance of doing just that.... | 2009-04-24 08:05:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
I played this level pretty early in it's life and loved it - can't add any more love than what's posted already. Just letting you know I think this is a homerun level - no doubt! | 2009-04-24 08:09:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Ranger, the prizes are stickers from the story mode that you can't get. Check them out, they're pretty great stickers and two decorations. wut? Can you explain a bit? It's stickers that are in the Media Molecule levels but never given in prize or it's the prize that most people are missing? . | 2009-04-24 11:59:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
It's stickers that are in the Media Molecule levels but never given in prize It's this. There are stickers in the story levels that you can find, pick up with your sticker tool, stick to your sack-boy, and return to your pod with. The only way to keep them is to place them on an object and capture them. You can go find them yourself in story mode, or you can get them in my level. Which ever you prefer. They all have custom shapes, two of them are decorations and they're actually really cool stickers..for the most part. There are probably more in story mode that I missed. In all I think I have about 23 stickers in the level. To use them, check your community objects. Drop the object into your level and use the sticker tool to remove the sticker and place it. I am particularly fond of the R1 button sticker, seems like it could be used a lot. I love the flower decoration, if you couldn't tell from how much I use it in the level. | 2009-04-24 12:56:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Nice, this level is very trippy and visually stunning, that it's actually worth replaying over and over, not just to get a high score with bubble collecting, but just to enjoy the awesome colours and effects you've used... I really enjoyed it, and thought it had a great layout, in terms of not being a linear experience, which in turn will make it difficult for the high scorers to get to the top of the ladder, which in turn again, will get players replaying the level over and over to work out the best route for those high combos... Great work mate, 5stars and hearts all round... | 2009-04-24 13:37:00 Author: BalaBombz Posts: 50 |

Hey - checked out the version you published last night and just wanted to mention that I like your newer ending solution better than the pre Yarg glitch version. Both were pretty but something about the version you went with in the end looks better to me. Beautiful work! | 2009-04-24 17:59:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Ok, I played it and.... the pictures REALLY don't do this quirky well designed level justice. It is just as Jaeden describes - a free-roaming, exploration level. Just beautiful (if a bit crazy) to look at and the prizesbeing given away are worth playing the level for! Pros: +Funky art style +The checkpoints! +Lots of lovely platforming +Scoreboard +Pretty much everything! +The collectables - lovely stickers +Great ideas +Fun to play +So much replayability +Getting a huge score bubble combo! Cons: -Not getting being able to find my way to some places I hearted and gave it 5 stars because it was a huge really well designed level with some of the best collectables around! | 2009-04-24 19:53:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Hey - checked out the version you published last night and just wanted to mention that I like your newer ending solution better than the pre Yarg glitch version. Both were pretty but something about the version you went with in the end looks better to me. Beautiful work! Thanks. I do to. This level was very much, glitch inspired. I actually started building it because I was playing around with an interesting glitch in the global settings. I'm uplaoding a video to youtube right now that shows how the level started with the background glitch. But you can force a really cool two tone tye dye pattern background with the islands background and the pop-it Global settings fog/colour corretion. So I named it Tye Dye! and started building. I finished the map about 3 weeks ago, then DrunkenFist_Lee showed me the trippy glitch and after screwing around with it, I thought it would make a cool ending. I loved it when I finally got it to look like when you saw it, and I was floored when I loaded the level up after Yarg and it was gone. Glad I figured it out though. Everyone should know that DrunkenFist_Lee had an awesome new level that looked amazing with his glitch and he's pretty much having to rebuild it now. I know it will still be awesome, but play his stuff if you can. He's really got some talent. | 2009-04-24 20:26:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
First off I really like your icon. How did you make it? Nice looking level. The spinning checkpoints are really good. Especially when they shoot you out. I could quite figure this level out at first no path to follow. It's like a big pinball machine with sackboy as the ball I like it. Really colourful. Collecting points bubbles is very addictive. Good fun. I finished behind Mrsupercomputer and Coxy224, which I thought was quite flukey. 4* hearted Beautiful. | 2009-04-24 21:22:00 Author: bindibaji Posts: 119 |
Wait, what? The trippy glitch is gone? I found this on like the second day I had the game (waaaaaaaaay back in November). I...I grew up with the trippy glitch Anyway, I'll be sure to check this out tommorrow. | 2009-04-24 21:23:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
I just played this level (and posted in the contest), I loved it! Really great idea, thanks for this, seriously! | 2009-04-24 22:29:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
4* hearted Beautiful. WHAT?!?!?!? Sorry, I am either too narrow minded or have cravings for this level, but 4 stars is like an insult! Okay, each to his own.... | 2009-04-25 00:33:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
I absolutely love this level, not only is it incredibly fun to play but it looks stunning as well. The visuals are so unique and distinctive, you absolutely made the style your own. And I didn't know that about the sticker prizes, I'm definitely going to keep replaying until I find the R1 sticker, that sounds really useful. Anyway, thank you for making what I think is the best level created in LBP so far. The only problem is that I absolutely suck at it and can't string together combos. What am I doing wrong? Any hints? | 2009-04-25 05:23:00 Author: CheesyMcFly Posts: 211 |
Can you get the 13x (or higher) combo at the start? Start there and practice until you get it, then proceed lol. Sorry for the worst H2P ratio in LBP history Jaeyden! | 2009-04-25 05:26:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
Can you get the 13x (or higher) combo at the start? Start there and practice until you get it, then proceed lol. Sorry for the worst H2P ratio in LBP history Jaeyden! Haha no, I can't even manage that, but I'm working on it I still feel like I'm missing something though, I'm sure there's a way to zoom around this level really fast but all I can manage is a slow walk from point bubble to point bubble. I'm slowly getting better though. | 2009-04-25 05:41:00 Author: CheesyMcFly Posts: 211 |
Here's that video I uploaded. It's from early on but it might give you a few ideas of some combos to get started with. This is that background you can only force in create mode that I was talking about. I haven't been able to replicate it to a published level. I promise to post a 120k+ run by the end of the contest. Oh yeah sorry bout video quality. My camera sucks. YouTube - MOV01534 | 2009-04-25 06:53:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Woah, nice run, and you missed tons of points too! I can't wait for the 120k run lol. | 2009-04-25 07:11:00 Author: dkjestrup Posts: 672 |
You missed loads! Um, one more thing. The jump just after the flying balls at 3:38? When you jump, you get the first 1/2 of the points, then the rest fall. Anyone beating me yet? | 2009-04-25 08:04:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
I played this level, I liked this level. Here's why: -Looked absoloutely amazing, great use of the GLT -Excellent replay value, so much to explore, and insanely addictive -It was FUN, something that a lot of these colourful visual experiences lack -The first time I've seen the trippy glitch used in a good way that enhances visuals -A couple of those stickers you gave as prizes I've never seen before. Most of them I have, but a couple I haven't. Like that weird face. 5*, Beautiful tag & hearted. | 2009-04-25 14:41:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Pretty well made, except for those bugs i told you about of course XD but other than that, the level was pretty cool, with all the multiple paths and so many combos one can make, this level has a high replay balue. 8/10 Great level man. | 2009-04-25 15:56:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Well, I hope I fixed those spots so you can't fall through anymore. Thanks for finding them. | 2009-04-25 20:20:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
This level's a lot of fun, I could say the same thing as everybody here. Amazing visuals, I love the use of gas and light together. The only thing that bothered me, (and really can't be fixed) is the amount of chance it take to get a high multiplyer at the end. You have to be there at the right time to get the most out of it. The first playthrough I got lucky, but the second time I was having a better run through the level but the timing was off at the end and I ended up with a lower score than the first time. I don't think that can be fixed though, so I have nothing else to add. Great job, 5 stars and hearted. | 2009-04-25 22:22:00 Author: ApellesJr Posts: 282 |
Actually it can. I considered adding some permanent switches to the moving platforms at the end so that its timed more predictably. I might wait until after the contest though, depends on whether the leaders care or not. Let me know guys if you want me to. I'm very, very tight on geometry so adding anything (two switches in this case) requires a bit of editing. I will change it, if the three players at the top of the leaderboard say to. Also, I will say this. There is a way to get the first platform every time. So it might only be the second one I adjust. | 2009-04-25 22:52:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
There is a way to get the first platform every time. So it might only be the second one I adjust. I'm gonna place my bet on the rotating platforms you have to grab, just before the massive jump? | 2009-04-26 15:42:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
So I accidentally got first place. Was Working on a score video and fell onto the scoreboard...sorry Tommy, I got about 6k on you. | 2009-04-26 21:15:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
I just played this, I'll ditto what I said in the contest thread by saying I still had problems with the points above the checkpoint and after the second frog-balls. Also, the points to the far left of the stars (ie, the furthest left of the map, made of glass) are almost impossible to get a combo with all of them Also, the points on the last non-glass platform are impossible to combo between, I've found, no matter the combination of jumping. Incidentally, I could have made first place, if it weren't for someone inviting me to their game while I was pressing jump, meaning I left the level with a 50k+ score before even leaving the star area! RAGE! | 2009-04-26 23:03:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |

Incidentally, I could have made first place, if it weren't for someone inviting me to their game while I was pressing jump, meaning I left the level with a 50k+ score before even leaving the star area! RAGE! Oh man. That is awful. I've never even had 50k at the stars). Not sure which non glass platform you're referring to. Is it the one near the second balls? | 2009-04-27 03:11:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
It's metal. If you run down off of the first checkpoint, jump left onto the blue, then yellow, the NEXT PLATFORM is a black/brown one. It's that one. | 2009-04-27 06:48:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
They are kind of useless for a combo. I've gotten them as the start of a combo down the left side from getting spit out of the checkpoint at the right angle but besides that, I never take that line anyway. | 2009-04-27 09:50:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Hi Jaeyden! I played this last night. Here's my thoughts... PROS: - beautiful, hypnotic visuals - replay value - nice flow and themes - challenging but not frustrating - sense of achievement - FUN! CONS - none I can think of, except trying to work out which way is the best to go (but this is probably another PRO!) OVERALL 5*, Hearted, Tagged with 'Ingenious' Very well done! | 2009-04-27 10:47:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
Finally got round to playing this last night. Stunning looking level. Navigating it was a bit confusing but suited the trippy confusing style of the asthetics. How did you do all the light effects? Is it just gas with lights swirling through it? Without the most visually stunning level I've seen so far. | 2009-04-27 11:34:00 Author: Sosaku Posts: 146 |
Jaeyden, the point is, if the points on the left of that section were oh-so-slightly further right, and the points with a prize bubble on the wall to the left extended out slightly, it would be part of a whole new combo. | 2009-04-27 20:11:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
Yeah, I'll gladly change that up if I have no objections from contest participants. | 2009-04-27 21:28:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Played it a few hours ago. Fun stuff. | 2009-04-27 21:35:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
Played this for the first time earlier and was totally lost lol. I felt like I didn't have a clue where I was and where I should go lol Felt like I needed someone to hold my hand and show me the way  The visuals are great btw way and very hypnotic I only had one go though (as daddy duties called ) Gonna go try and work this out NOW.......... | 2009-04-27 21:37:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |
This level is excellent! It's quite easy to get lost and miss points, but this has great replayability value. Your use of the global settings tool to change the background colour is vary hypnotic. I'm not sure how you got those swirling colours, though. 5 stars / hearted. | 2009-04-27 22:09:00 Author: Entity Posts: 274 |
I should try more of these levels. Been too busy with the story ones to try the community made ones except for a few of course. XD Global lightning will hopefully be used in a lot of levels. Its a great tool. | 2009-04-27 22:24:00 Author: Echonian Posts: 279 |
Thanks for the plays guys! It is a real playground type of level, but I think it's near impossible not to finished it in one way or another. It gets a lot more fun once you know the whole level and start exploring combos and chasing highscores. | 2009-04-27 23:00:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Hey I would hold off on any combo effecting edits until after the competition. I can't even get what dawes is saying, so it would pretty much only help him at this point. And if anything, there should be better spacing after the tear drops jump followed by the long line of bubbles with the fireworks looking effects shooting up as you run by to the moving platforms section - right there after the run it seems like you should be able to continue a combo if you fall down and go left... you even do it in your 75K run video, but the spacing is just too far to keep it going - and if your visual effects were set to the same timing as the moving segments towards the end... like say both were at 10 second cycling times, and 0.0 in sych time - then you would never have to add switches, because people could just start their combos when say a butterfly flies by or a gas lighting effect is fully extended - and use visual markers like that to time it so they run into the moving platform at just the right time. | 2009-04-28 07:08:00 Author: LuckyShot Posts: 713 |
Great level Jaeyden! I think my retinas are bleeding. Have only had the chance to play through once, but definitely plan to return for more exploring. Would like to compete for the high-points prizes, but think I would be WAY out of my league...especially since some have scored ~ 150+/-. I certainly enjoyed it and can't believe how the new level pack features REALLY make things so much more visually interesting. Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleave (e.g. Abyss 2). Congrats on another great level and thanks for sharing your genius with the LBP online community. Regards - badgerfan89 | 2009-04-29 14:59:00 Author: badgerfan89 Posts: 33 |
Great level Jaeyden. One word - VIBRANT! Didn't have a clue where i was going half the time, but rather than being a bad thing, in this case it just adds a really enjoyable layer of chaos to its knockabout charm. | 2009-04-30 00:00:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone! It's been a great week. Just a reminder, the Tye Dye! sore contest ends Sunday night at 6:00 P.M. MST. Lots of XP up for grabs. | 2009-04-30 22:20:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |

You know, Jaeyden, this was a good level and all... but don't you think it was maybe a bit... too good? | 2009-05-09 04:24:00 Author: Grethiwha Posts: 61 |
Several people recommended me this level, and i've to say, i wasn't blown away at first (maybe because i was expecting too much, i don't even think i've finished it the first time) but i found it a really interesting level. I've replayed it a few times and after a while i've got to admit that this level has a pretty strange attraction on me, the colors... the style... the concept... the fun... the fun... (did i mention the fun!) i think i felt in love with it... wait, i'm pretty sure about that! :-) This is my favourite level at the moment and i've the feeling it will be for a long while. It's very refreshing to see a level that concentrates on what's really important imho, fun! (Don't get me wrong, story based levels are nice, but sometimes all those text-bubbles, useless community objects and frustrating gameplay makes it a lot less fun) 5 stars & a heart for you! Thank you so much for saying that Mother-Misty. That comment means everything to me. I had a lot of fun making it too, and honestly -"Fun" - is the one compliment I wanted to hear the most. Finding different combos and just chasing bubbles everywhere can be addicting. I'll keep an eye out for you on the leaderboard. | 2009-05-09 08:28:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |
Mother-misty, I'm afraid to have to tell you the contest is over! (If it's the one I'm thinking of). I missed out on XP by one place! Anywho, still give this level a play, it's so addictive. | 2009-05-09 08:32:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
Now this is something! Very original but, most of all, creative. What i love about this level is the attention to trippy detail from the lights to the butterflies, i dig things like that. It feels very big and hardly anything feels left untouched. A little concern, were you high when creating this? haha. MY (my being key word) only drawback is that i do feel its just a jazzed up version of a level with randomly placed objects. Not criticism, just personal preference, i like a lot more structure. Keep this refreshing work up! /5 | 2009-05-09 11:53:00 Author: Lotus_Flow3r Posts: 165 |
It was a visual blast and felt like I was tripping. Playing it was fun however I am one of the kind who likes to be at least shown in which direction the level basically evolves. All felt so huge and "pointless" if you know what I mean so got a little lost. Besides that you stuffed a ton of good ideas and techniques in this one that I might just come back to get inspired by some. Good and absolutely unique work. | 2009-05-09 12:20:00 Author: Fjonan Posts: 359 |

I'd love to do another one misty. I'll start putting it together soon. I still need to finish Abyss 2...although I might just put it on hold (creators block) if I can't get it to where I want it any time soon. I've always got 2 or 3 levels going at once so I usually just work on whatever seems to be "flowing" at the time. Once again, thanks for all the wonderful comments guys. | 2009-05-10 06:27:00 Author: Jaeyden Posts: 564 |

Now Jaeyden.... don't get too distracted from Abyss 2 - I've been waiting longer for that than Mother-Misty has been waiting for a sequel to Tye Dye. And remember.... "I" put a tire rim on the deck of the boat in Tiger Woods.... . (I'm kidding! well, sort of). | 2009-05-11 20:46:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
