gona give some killlzone2 tips

Archive: 22 posts

ok im a low rank in kz2 for the record but still

now i only rented the game so far but im rank five out of 10 ranks.
if you need easy points find a match thats only bodycout and on the high school(forget the name). now for easy points get out the shotgun(if you dont have it the isa asult rifle works well)now with the shotgun just go into the halways by the team spawns and basicly start blowing heads off youl die often but you get lots of kills espesily if you have the badge that gives you more points. if done well you should get 20 to 30 points a roud and in killzone 2 thats alot.
until your posotive dont use your only nad you only get 1.

work as a team. this is the biggest mistake I see with noob teams if you go out in front trying to get the first kill your gona get messed up:eek:

evan if you only have the medic badge use it.most people completly ditch this badge because..... i dont know why help your team revive them it might just get your team the win.

thats it for know thank you

Yes trust me 20-30 is mockingly low after awhile

Try 100+ and play normal games where you get points for doing objectives aswell as those lovely 3 pts per kill bodycounts (5 for a headshot with the badges!!).

I tend to get 40-60 in those sort of matches... 20-30 isn't that big.

Every time you die you go to that respawn screen with the map of the.. map. Press R1 and it'll take you to your character, you can pick and choose weapons there. You'll unlock more as you advance ranks as well.

ya know the objective in other matches dont get you much more points and kills are less points.

in other words, spawn camp the enemy team w/ shotguns.

normally i would go on a rant but since you said you're new to the game, i'll just say this: spawn camping isn't very cool. try to get better instead of relying on one of the stupidest tactics ever thought of (IMO of course)

but that map is pretty small and since it's TDM only, spawn camping is inevitable

if i came off as a prick, i didn't mean to. it's just that i have a strong dislike for spawn camping.

anyway, to join a squad press start, then press R1 until you reach the final tab. the final tab is the squad tab and if you have an invite, it will have a message that gives you the option to accept/deny the invite. click accept to join and decline to.... well, not join.

if you want to start a squad, decline any invites you might have and click on one of the squads that's empty. you're now the leader and can send an invite to anyone on your team. to send an invite, you have to be on the squad tab and click on your teammates names. you can send an invite to everyone but you can only have 4 people to a squad (3 and you).

also, if you're in a squad you can spawn on your squad leader (if you're the leader, your squadmates can spawn on you)

ok now I just have to point this out. Im not spawn caping Im just saying go out of the spawn into the halways(or cafatiriea depending on who you spawed as)and jus play like thats the only part of the map you alowed on.these areas are very high conjestion areas(seriosly have you evar got into a gun battle in the library area) this is not spawn camping, spawn camping is when you hide by your turrent and wait for the enamy to pass by. now if your not for this typ of combat and atualy want to stay alive for mor than a miniut, id say get the sniper rifle out(again the isa rifle works well to) go to the top balcony and get the enamy as they try to cross the courtyard.
sorry for sounding kinda like a *** earlyer

yeah the turret gives EXP but they don't get too many kills unless they're in good spots.2009-04-26 17:12:00

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is not the definition of spawn camping. Spawn camping is when you sit inside or just outside a spawn area and wait for the enemy to spawn, giving you the jump on them before they know you are there or can react. It's sole purpose is to get easy kills and keep the enemy from accessing the map outside their spawn point.

It's definitely cheap and is generally frowned upon in the gaming community.

Camping is doing the same thing but outside the enemy's spawn point in an area of the map with high traffic.

Sniping is considered camping by some who don't understand the sniper's role and are ignorant to the skills involved in good sniping techniques.

Indeed, sniping is made especially more interesting and tactical in KZ2, and presents a more realistic sniper recon role.

Excessively spawn camping is pretty lame, especially on certain maps where you have no choice but to go through the campers so they'll always land easy kills. BUT one of the interesting things in KZ2 is the fact that spawns are dynamic, so you can't just park your hide by one spot and always expect the enemy to pop out of there, and in fact a good team will start laying down some spawn grenades elsewhere and start spawning there to get away from you. Not to mention the whole squad spawn thing.

True. Unfortunately so few people understand the great perks of spawn grenades and get caught up in the herd mentality. One thing you can always count on is that humans are creatures of habit, and most will keep spawning and stick around trying to fight off the enemy instead of switching to tactician and getting the hell out of there to drop a new spawn point. Heck, even when there IS a different spawn point on the map half the people still insist on spawning at their base in the middle of the frag fest... just ridiculous.

As a sniper who tends to find one of several good shooting lanes per map, I rarely squad-up. No point in me being the leader as my team will highlight my position when spawning, and most people don't listen to intel I'm passing on so it's usually pointless.

The other big issue I see with tacticians is poor habits in dropping the spawn point

A) Putting them in a bad place and ending up with people just constantly dying instead of finishing the objective.

B) Putting them in at a bad angle, when people don't realize that the people will spawn facing the opposite direction that you throw the nade, and then everyone spawns there facing away from the enemy.

C) A + B
