How did you manage that Killian lol?

I blew it up, nothing happened

I went into the tutorial with Steven Fry talking away and tried to get back into create mode with the background by freezing the game with the start menu and doing stuff with the XMB.

seems to work if all the lighting switches are set up and destroyable before you start mixing though

No way this is happening. Media Molecule are perfectly at ease with leaving the game breaking there until a future patch. By the way, I'm surprised we didn't find the major bugs the creator pack introduced yet. According to MM track records, there is supposed to be at least 2 of them.

Ah, the Global Lighting Tool is EPIC.

The first "test" I did with it was to create some floating platforms out of Dark Matter, and then make sort of "steps" that each time you go up, the background changes colour.

Looks AMAZING! (and took like 10 seconds)

Question:

Let's say I put my level halkway in-between 2 different color correction settings. At some point in the same level, another global lighting tool is activated but only for changing something else than the color correction (let's say it's to change brightness).... Will this reset my "glitched" color correction?

hey dexiro i was messing around with your jump pad thing and a put it sideways, attached to a piece of dark matter, and stacked like 15 of them. i then copied the stack and placed it on the other side, then put one last cancel one at the very top. results in mega jump that launches you super high.2009-04-23 23:25:00

I'm confused on the color temperature setting. Is what you guys are saying is that with the global lighting switch you can have a color displayed that would otherwise not be possible but the slide for the color can be moved smoothly with the right analog stick so I'm confused on how it makes a new color? I think I may be missing something here, can i get some help here.2009-04-24 01:21:00

If you destroy the switch while the colour is changing you'll have a colour you can't tweak the options to get.

But how is that possible if you can move the slider smoothly, does it mean there are even more colors in between those colors too.

You can tweak anything you want, even colour correction wich I wasn't expecting.

Now lets all prepare for the stormload of awful day/night/psychedelic levels that will be released this weekend.

Yeah, but the pic on the Media Molecule site doesn't have the Global Lighting tool there. WHAT IF THEY LIED! Z0mGZORZ!

I'm so glad this pack came out. I am taking full advantage of the invisibiliy option. Without it there would have been so many pistons and strings going everywhere. Thanks to pistons being invisible, I stuck an invisible mouth on an invisible stick (the "glitch" to shrink a material down to the point where it's invisible) Then I put an invisible piston attatched to the stick and the ground. The mouth has cutscene "on". When a sackboy enters the proximity of the mouth, the piston moves up, moving the cutscene up with it. I set the piston speed to something very slow. So now I can get a panoramic shot of an object too big for the screen.

This works beautifully in my level when I summon Shenlong (Yes...from Dragonball)

That's what I was hoping to be able to do. I've been playing around with some other things, but this one is next on my list to try. I think to be able to achieve a really good effect, some regular lighting will need to be involved as well though.
