LittleBigKitsune - A LBP Animation

I was bored a little while ago, and with all the talk of how everyone was going nuts and trying to figure out how to get the coveted crown in LittleBigPlanet, I decided to make an animation about it, featuring some characters from my website. I hope you guys all enjoy it. It's just meant to be silly.

Oh, and I must apologize in advance, as always, because I did the voices, and I hope they are not too annoying.

For anyone who wants to check out the high quality flash version of this animation, I finally got off my lazy bum and uploaded it to my site. You'll notice the mouths are synced a lot better... for some reason youtube HATES when you make flash videos movies and then upload them.

I also tried to up the vocal quality so that the voices didn't sound as bad.

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words, guys. I have been doing Kitsune animations for about 7 or 8 years now at kappacino.com.... and I was a little worried about posting one of them where... you know... the general public would be able to see them.

and for the dance part... I didn't know how to handle that part. If I did frame by frame and actually had him dance it was really slowing down the dancing sack person. I ended up putting in a few key frames to see what it would look like if he just moved a bit, and it looked bad, but in a good way, so I left it like that! lol.

I know I'm going to be sentenced to death for saying this, but I didn't really like it. The animation was average and weeaboo, voices annoying, not funny in my opinion, and not pleasant to watch. But the internet has low standards.

Sometimes people think my voices are too high pitched. Heck, sometimes I do, too. The truth is, I can do about five voices, and the four done in that animation are four of them... lol... so there aren't many to choose from.

Oh, and Fjonan, I think you're the first person who ever noticed that kitsune was a little like Gir from Invader Zim. Back when I created Kappacino Creations (in 2001) I was reading a lot of Jhonen Vasquez's stuff (the guy who created invader zim) and a lot of it was really nonsensical. Kitsune was sort of based on that sort of nonsensical sort of humor, but then he sort of evolved into me. You know, the sort of person you can't take serioiusly when they honestly get mad at something and you just laugh at them instead.

I can't say this enough, but this is really insanely incredible. I've had like 700 views on the video since yesterday. lol. The internet is an awesome place!		2009-04-25 12:50:00

Haha, I was hoping that you know Invader Zim, I absolutely love the show (a pity it got dumped). I looked into Vasquez but could not find anymore of his work. I think I would like it. I've been fighting for years and years to get my comics, animations, or whatever noticed, and failing miserably. I stopped creating for a lot of reasons, not just that. A couple of you guys already know this, but for those of you who don't, I have arthritis in my ribs (i developed it playing Dance Dance Revolution, of all things), so it hurts to sit for long periods of times. Making a level causes me to get sore in the ribs, and when you make a level and 3 people play it, the pain is definitely not worth it. lol.

Anyway, my husband was making fun of me the one day when I was talking about the cool levels system and he said to me "oh yes, well, LBP is serious business" and I realized that I was taking something that was supposed to be fun WAAAAAY too seriously. That's when it hit me to do an animation. And, so I did. ^_^

And yes, it's hilarious to me that I spent all this time meticulously planning levels, working so hard to promote them with fair to moderate results, and then several months later when I make a joke animation for my friends, I'm apparently to get a crown for it.

I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth though. This has been a wonderful experience! ^_^ Thanks again to all of you!		2009-05-02 13:43:00

I checked my thread over there, and some kind folks are saying that I'm only getting the crown because I am a girl and that they want to be rewarded by hard work, and not for some "gimmick animation". LOLOLOL. The animation took me five days working 8 hours a day on it. Each of my levels took countless hours to make. People can be real uninformed jerks sometimes. But not you guys. It is ironic. Girl makes an animation making light of how everyone is so serious about the crown. Girl somehow gets crown. This is definitely the first crown they've given for an accident. I expected about 50 people to watch the video, and that's it! 		2009-05-03 13:47:00

I think that this is why I love littlebigplanet so much. I've met a lot of people who are creators and artists, just like myself. I've never been involved in a community where I haven't been flamed 7,000 times and eventually driven away. I love seeing what people come up with. I still watch that video from that waitepb guy every single day because it's amazing to me what people are capable of while utilizing this silly little video game! ^_^

Quite an entertaining animation. A bit childish compared to what I would like, but the quality and work put into it is easy to see, and that's what I respect.

The voices aren't great, but they aren't bad, and considering the lack of voice actors I think its pretty good. The plot for the video is quite good as well, and humorous. Love the disco scene. 		2009-05-06 19:09:00

I don't know why I don't like it. I tend to get really upset when it happens, especially when I'm playing with my friend Moo or one of my other online friends, and they start hitting my friends. I will calmly say "DON'T hit, please" and if they continue to do it, even if I've asked nicely, I usually delete them from my friend's list. That's not a joke, either. That's the one thing I really dislike in that game. It's such a friendly game, and it doesn't lend itself to that sort of thing. That's my opinion at least.

I feel the same way about slapping. Half the time I'm playing "den mother" with players who don't behave in levels. I've never kicked anyone or deleted them but the slapping thing really bugs me when it's overused and abusive. Oh, my friends beat the living tar out of Box Ghost when we're all playing on the same playstation. But these are people that I know personally. I always feel really weird when random strangers are hitting me for no reason. It seems to sour the experience for me. It makes me feel like those people don't have any respect.

I accidentally hit a guy from japan once when I was playing. I was trying to wave, and we were in nattura's fantasy forest level, so it was dark and i couldn't see where he was. I hit him, and he didn't speak any english. I was trying to say "gomen", but I don't know if he got the point or not. I felt TERRIBLE.		2009-05-14 19:09:00

Girls most certainly play video games. I got hooked with Atari at a friends house and when my parents decreed that I wan't allowed to have any sort of video game consoles in the house I was totally bummed. My aunt actually bought my siblings and I an Atari for Christmas one year and my father made her return it. I didn't find that out till much later though. So off I go to college and with my first income tax return check I bought a Sega Genesis. Nearly got thrown out of college for skipping class to play Sword of Vermillion and Sonic. Guess that's what happens when you don't learn how to balance game time and school time in high school.

After the Sega deck, it was Sega CD, Sega CDX, Playstation 1, Playstation 2 and now the glorious Playstation 3.

Wow, morgana, you're just like me then!

My father bought me an atari 2600 when I was maybe 4 years old and that was it for me. I got completely obsessed with it. My parents tried to keep the secret of the Nintendo from me, but when one of my friends got it and I found out how awesome it was, I had to have one of those, too.

Then there was the super nintendo, the sega master system (which I found at an outlet store for 30 bucks!), gameboy, sega genesis, sega cd (lunar was awesome), gamegear, playstation 1, playstation 2, dreamcast, wonderswan, gameboy advance, gameboy ds, playstation 3, xbox360, and psp.

so yes, I am an absolute, total hardcore gamer as well. i'm mostly of the RPG and Adventure game school though. Although, I occasinally will enjoy a weird game like Katamari or something like that. ^_^

Adventure for the atari was the first game I was really utterly and totally obsessed with. Remember that one? The dragons were ducks cause the guy who programmed it didn't know how to draw a dragon. Brilliant. ^_^		2009-05-17 14:04:00

I'd agree - if you're playing one of those levels it's fine - but I don't play those usually. My objection to the slapping thing is in pods and on regular levels where rather than play, two guys just start smacking each other rather than playing the level.


xkappax - I loved Lunar! I got into the game thing for RPG's too. Sword of Vermillion, Vai, FF, there are too many I've played to remember them all at this point. I didn't get a chance to play that Adventure one, I got hooked with Pitfall, Kaboom and Ms. Pacman on the old Atari deck.		2009-05-17 19:21:00

For any of you guys who have watched my other animations, you'll know that I have a "naming your characters" fetish. I pretty much only like RPG's where I can name the characters! Lunar was an exception though, for some reason!
