LBP PSP: Accessory or Own Game?

Archive: 10 posts

Well, I'm asking you. Would you prefer the LBP PSP to be it's OWN game completely, with it's own levels, functions, ect., or would you want it to be an "accessory" to the main LBP, where you can create levels that can be played on BOTH formats, keep up to date with all your creations, ect.

So yeah,

1. Own Game

2. A portable version of the same LBP, keeping so content can pass between the two.

And then which one do you think will happen?

Kinda both. I would like to see the PSP version have its own stuff and style.

But I don`t want to be using a PSP for days on end to get something right so would rather be able to create PSP specific levels on PS3 then port across.

What I'd like (and how I think it will turn out) is that the PSP is effectively the same game as the PS3, but with a different story mode.
So more an Accessory than a different game. I would love to make levels on the move

A level planner.
Simpler tools, so you can easily plan out what you intend to do when you actually get to the console
Being able to build it on the PSP would be pretty ace also, either way
LBP + PSP = <3

I was really hoping the game for the the psp would be using the same servers as the ps3 version, so we don't have to create a different community for it.

woohoo! I'm the only one that wants it to be it's own game it so far.

I want more of LBP greatness, I want different approach. A completely new and independant game would bring this. Actually, my dream would be that it's a 2D game. We could tackle level design under a 3D approach (PS3) and a 2D one (PSP). That would be amazing.

It would be awesome if it shared content with the ps3 game, just with a different story mode.2009-04-22 02:58:00

Yeah I agree with this. That`s why I said both.

I just don`t fancy trying to do all the fiddly stuff on that PSP screen. And you`d run the battery down 10 times over to make a right good level.

I`d like it if the PSP had it`s own stuff, but I`d still like to be able to make it on PS3.

Thing is, PSP can`t handle the physics engine so it will have to take a different approach anyway.

I said it's own game...I find it hard to play on a PSP. I'm not the car-sick type but it gives me a headache if I play on one to long. Also I am so busy playing I tend to twist the PSP around making it hard to visually follow what I'm doing

No I don't need glasses! (lol)
